Review: A Fall Gala Where Women Led the Way

The prospect of female choreographers sharing a New York City Ballet program has always been just that — a prospect divorced from reality. But on Wednesday night, dances by Gianna Reisen, Caili Quan and Tiler Peck made up the company’s first all-female repertory program. It was also the fashion gala, which felt a little shady […]

Bikini-clad Katie Price is rushed to medics in a wheelchair by boyfriend JJ Slater after injury on holiday

KATIE Price has faced another holiday hospital dash after suffering yet another injury abroad.

The bikini-clad model was spotted being wheeled in her wheelchair by boyfriend JJ Slater as she was taken straight to a clinic for emergency treatment following a new horror fall.

46-year-old Katie sported a bandage on her foot amid the painful injury amid reports the star fell and slipped on a rock during her current Cyprus getaway.

The injuries will be distressing for Katie after she was previously left unable to walk following a hideous accident in Turkey in 2020.

In the new snaps, Katie can be seen sporting a green-bikini as she is pushed along to the clinic.

JJ, sporting a white vest and sunglasses, then played the supportive boyfriend as he helped injury-prone Katie out of the wheelchair and into the hospital clinic.

The mother-of-five appeared to struggle as she kept her bandaged foot up in the air.

Katie then hobbled into the clinic where she is understood to have received immediate treatment.

Four years ago, Katie suffered a disaster fall from a 25-foot wall whilst holidaying with her children in Turkey.

The star broke bones in both of her feet that required her to undergo a slew of different operation and surgeries in order to repair the damage done.

Katie was left unable to walk properly for six months and was forced to use a wheelchair and keep her feet in medical boots.

The ex-glamour model told The Sun at the time of her horrific injuries: “I will never be the same…

“I’ve got a limp when I walk now as one leg is longer than the other because of all the metal in the foot — I waddle like a duck.

“It does make me feel a bit paranoid.

“I’m registered disabled and have got letters from the doctors to certify me for a blue badge, which I’ve sent off for.”

Katie feared she would be left “paralysed” after the accident which totally “destroyed” her feet.

The 46-year-old is currently on holiday with her son Harvey, 22, and boyfriend JJ Slater, 32, and has been making the most of the warmer weather.

In snaps taken before her new injuries, Katie looked younger than ever after recently undergoing a £10k facelift and she showed off the results as she strutted around the pool.

Her dark black hair was pushed off her face after a dip in the water, revealing her incredibly tight jaw and eye line.

After cooling off, Katie – who was dressed in a pale green bikini top with coloured bottoms – went and sat beside JJ on the sun bed.

She leaned in to give him a kiss before laying down to work on her tan.

Most valuable old unwanted tech that could earn you £450 in time for Christmas

MILLIONS of UK homes are full of unwanted tech that could be turned into much-needed cash for the festive season

With Christmas fast approaching and many Brits feeling the pressure to keep their festive spending in check, an easy way to make some extra cash could be sitting right under your nose.

a fireplace with a christmas tree in the background
By recycling old tech, Brits could make up to £450 this year

According to new research, you could make up to £450 by recycling unwanted devices like phones, laptops and tablets, all just in time to help cover the cost of gifts, decorations, and festive days out.

Virgin Media O2’s recent study reveals that 68% of Brits are keen to recycle their old tech for cash, with a large number ready to sell unused consoles or smartphones.

With nearly half of the population expecting their Christmas spending to exceed last year’s, this presents a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking to boost their holiday budget.

On average, households in the UK have four unused devices lying around, according to Virgin Media O2.

The mobile provider has shared which gadgets can get you the most money through its recycling pay-out scheme, adding up to a tidy £446 if you have them all.

Here’s a breakdown of what you could make for popular tech items through O2 Recycle:

  • Smartphones: £136.46
  • Tablets: £144.52
  • Consoles: £80.16
  • Laptops/MacBooks: £205.17
  • Earbuds: £53.52
  • Wearables/Smartwatches: £81.36

This means that a couple of devices could see you pocketing a decent sum to spend on your festive celebrations.

If you have a few devices lying around that you no longer use, it’s worth getting them appraised and exchanging them for some much-needed cash.

With 02’s recycling scheme you will receive cash to recycle your old devices but you can also opt for credit to put towards a new device.

To do it you just have to register by searching for your device on the O2 Recycle website and adding it to your basket.

Make sure you prepare your device by deleting any personal data, removing the SIM or memory card.

You can then send off your device by booking a courier for pickup or taking it to the Post Office.

Once O2 receives and assesses your device, you’ll receive payment—either credited to your O2 account or paid via BACS or cheque.

Whilst this scheme is great to get some cash out of your old tech junk, it’s not the only way to get paid for recycling your old tech.

You could also consider selling old tech to websites such as Decluttr, musicMagpie or Tech2Cash.

These websites allow you to trade in old-gadgets in exchange for cash, you can also rank your quotes by how much the recycler will pay.

For those who prefer to go in store, stores such as CEX or Game allow you trade in devices in store in exchange for cash or even store vouchers which can be handy when buying new gadgets.

TOP TIPS

If you’re wondering how to get the best price for your unwanted tech, here are some top tips:

Always compare prices

Don’t settle for the first offer you get.

Use websites like Compare and Recycle to check what different companies are offering for your devices.

The difference in price can be as much as £87, so it pays to shop around.

Condition Matters

The better condition your gadgets are in, the higher the payout.

Take good care of your items before selling them, and be honest about their condition to avoid a lower pay-out when the company inspects them.

Sell Smart

Whether you opt to use online platforms like eBay or Facebook Marketplace, or kiosks like ecoATM, you can often get a better deal if you’re willing to put in a little more effort.

Just make sure you compare quotes first.

Take Advantage of Cashback

Some platforms, like TopCashback and Quidco, offer bonus cashback when you sell your tech through specific services.

This is a great way to get a little extra money for your gadgets.

DON’T MISS OUT

Tech depreciates quickly, so it’s best to sell your old devices sooner rather than later.

According to experts at Compare and Recycle, devices like iPhones can lose up to 20 per cent of their value within just three months of a new model’s release.

The sooner you sell, the better your pay-out.

From old smartphones and laptops to game consoles and wearables, there’s no shortage of gadgets just waiting to be turned into cash.

So, why not dig through those drawers, collect your unwanted devices, and sell them for extra cash this Christmas?

With up to £450 potentially waiting for you, this could be the easiest money you make in time for the festive season.

Meanwhile, if you’re considering other ways to make money, you might want to start a side hustle.

This supersaver managed to put £20,000 away thanks to shopping smart and side hustles.

Elsewhere, an expert reveals three easy ideas that can earn you £5000 before Christmas – including a side hustle that requires no effort.

I thought I was going to die days after my baby was born reveals BBC Breakfast star

FORMER BBC Breakfast star Louise Minchin has opened up about having a terrifying health scare just days after she gave birth to her first child that left her fearing for her life.

The 56-year-old presenter, who co-hosted BBC Breakfast until 2021, shares two daughters, Mia and Scarlett, with her husband David.

However, while speaking on Gabby Logan’s podcast, The Mid-Point, Louise revealed that she had a serious and “traumatic” health scare after Mia was born, which she needed counselling to recover from.

“I think I’ve been through quite a few things in my life that I just put them in a box and shut it,” Louise told the retired gymnast as she began to open up.

Louise continued: “That’s what I do with lots of things. When Mia was born, that’s the only thing I’ve ever kind of had to seek help for, actually.

“When Mia was born, a week after she was born, I had a burst appendix. It was really, really serious.”

Louise also explained that she still isn’t sure if her appendix rupturing was a result of her pregnancy or just a “ridiculous” coincidence, but she ended up needing emergency surgery.

Recalling how she felt at the time, Louise said: “It was my first pregnancy, so I didn’t know. I kept telling them that I had this pain, but they just thought, ‘It was your body, you’re having this baby, what do you expect?’

Thankfully, Louise had not left the hospital yet and was being monitored when her appendix burst, so she got treatment right away.

That didn’t make it any less scary, though, and I’m A Celebrity star admitted that she was terrified she was going to die just days after giving birth to her daughter.

“Literally six days after she was born, and it burst while I was in hospital and it was very dramatic and very traumatic.

“That’s the only thing I’ve ever had help with, actually, because I thought I was going to die six days after my baby was born,” Louise said.

Although Louise said on the podcast that she put this part of her past and shut it, she did open up about her experience once before.

Louise previously revealed that after her appendix burst, she was diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder and needed months to recover along with counselling.

Speaking to The Mirror in 2013, the BBC presenter said: “After coming out of hospital, I was still in pain. I’d sleep for hours and was in lots of pain. It took nine months to recover.

“At the time, I called the scars my M25. I’m glad to say that after 11 years, the M25 is looking better. It’s still there, but there aren’t so many bumps any more!”

Who are the current presenters of BBC Breakfast?

The flagship BBC show has had dozens of presenters during its impressive 40 years on air but the current stars are:

Jon Kay – Since 2022

Sally Nugent – Since 2021

Charlie Stayt – Since 2006

Naga Munchetty – Since 2014

Carol Kirkwood – Since 1997

Louise did go on to have a second child, her daughter Scarlett, but admitted she was hesitant after such an ordeal.

“Although the scare didn’t put me off having more children, I delayed it. But the birth of my second was a breeze,” she explained.

Ultimately, Louise is just happy there were no complications for Mia when she was born.

“It was lucky it all happened after Mia was born. I can’t imagine what would have happened if I had been pregnant. It changed me, but I’m more positive now.

“When something like that happens, it gives you a different perspective,” she concluded.

Colin Cowherd goes on three-minute rant over Kansas City Chiefs and says ‘everyone else plays for second’

FOX Sports personality Colin Cowherd went on a viral tirade concerning the Kansas City Chiefs.

The NFL squad, led by three-time Super Bowl champion Patrick Mahomes, beat the New Orleans Saints on ESPN’s Monday Night Football in Week 5.

Cowherd didn’t hold back on his stance concerning the Chiefs’ dominance in the league[/caption]

The Chiefs dominated the Saints in the contest and improved to an NFL-best 5-0 record.

After the effort, Cowherd appeared on his FS1 show The Herd with Colin Cowherd and gave his thoughts on the primetime victory.

Cowherd shared that he believes that while other teams seem to be affected by unfortunate circumstances, the Chiefs seem to never be phased by obstacles.

He brought up that Kansas City has dealt with injuries, including a season-ending one to wide receiver Rashee Rice in Week 4 and a multi-week one to running back Isiah Pacheco in Week 2, and still have found ways to win.

“They just make everything work. Circumstances don’t matter. All these other teams in the NFL use excuses. … I don’t want to hear it,” Cowherd said.

The 60-year-old also mentioned that Kansas City still beat New Orleans despite Mahomes throwing an interception in the endzone and kicker Harrison Butker missing a 52-yard field goal in the third quarter.

“Everybody in this league is fighting for second place,” Cowherd said.

“Here what’s terrifying: Kansas City is 5-0. Mahomes is 19th in passer rating.”

Cowherd finished his rant by calling the Chiefs’ win a “Monday Night Football flex” due to their unique playcalling throughout the game, including a lateral play from star tight end Travis Kelce.

NFL fans were in agreement with Cowherd’s argument on social media.

“The truth is the truth. Bengals and Ravens fans hear this and probably break down emotionally,” one commented.

“100 percent facts,” a second wrote.

“At least one analyst gets it,” a third added.

The Chiefs’ Week 5 victory was the first win by more than 10 points for the season.

Kansas City will have a bye week in Week 6.

They will face the San Francisco 49ers at Levi’s Stadium on October 20 as part of a Super Bowl rematch.

Hoda Kotb gives update on 5-year-old daughter Hope’s medical crisis after Today host quits show and moves to suburbs

HODA Kotb has given an update on her 5-year-old daughter Hope’s medical crisis after quitting Today and moving to the New York suburbs.

Broadcaster Hoda, 60, shocked NBC viewers with the announcement that she would be stepping down from her co-anchor role last month.

It was revealed at the time that the TV personality, who is mum to Hope, as well as Hayley, seven, wanted to focus on her family.

She has now shared a positive update on Hope’s health, following a two-week hospital stay earlier this year for reasons never made public.

Hoda told People: “We’re in a place where Hope is thriving. She’s improving, we’re watching her, and I think as time goes on, we’ll have a better handle on it, but we’re already seeing great differences.

“We really have excellent care; I have people helping us out. I feel like she is finding steady footing.

“I just see that life for them in this perfect house in this beautiful little town where I know they’ll be able to blossom into beautiful, independent, strong women.”

Her move to the suburbs was motivated by a desire to provide her daughters with a sense of normalcy and a quieter environment away from the hustle and bustle of New York City.

Hota, who adopted both girls, broke off her engagement to her longtime fiance Joel Schiffman in 2022 after eight years of dating.

An insider said after her Today exit: “She wants a boyfriend, she wants to be able to date, she wants to have that in her life.”

She was last seen with a mystery man in March this year.

Today’s fourth-hour co-star Jenna Bush Hager has done her best to set up Hoda in recent years but didn’t have any success.

Hoda was previously married to tennis coach Burzis Kanga from 2005 to 2008.

MORE THAN MONEY

The source added that NBC had tried to convince the beloved host to stay at Today.

“For the last year, they were trying to convince her to stay. They didn’t want her to go, so they actually sweetened the pot and she was offered more money, but she just doesn’t want to do it,” they said.

“Hoda feels at 60 years old, that morning TV is a young person’s game. If you get up at three or four in the morning, it messes up your whole life.

“She started falling asleep during dinner. She had told me she has dinner ridiculously early because she’s been up since four, her whole rhythm is screwed up.”

The source said Hoda wants more of her life back, and it comes down to more time with her girls and finding love again.

HODA'S NBC LEGACY

Hoda's illustrious career at NBC spans well over two decades.

Hoda joined the NBC network in 1998 as a correspondent for Dateline.

She became a standout once paired with Kathie Lee Gifford in the 10 am hour of Today in 2008.

During her time on the show, Hoda was open about her battle with breast cancer and her fertility struggles.

Fans of the show then watched as she adopted her two daughters; first in 2017 and then in 2019.

She was also vocal about her daughter, Hope’s, scary medical crisis.

Hoda continued in the fourth hour after Jenna Bush Hager replaced Kathie Lee.

She was then named an interim co-anchor along with Savannah after Matt Lauer’s firing from the network in late 2017.

Hoda and Savannah became the first female-led duo to co-anchor Today since its premiere in 1952.

A recent highlight of her time on Today was the previously mentioned birthday surprise.

Hoda’s co-anchors shocked her with an hour-long celebration in August honoring her 60th birthday.

ALL ABOUT THE GIRLS

The single mother was grappling with not having enough time to dedicate to her two kids.

The insider said that Hoda wants to be fully present for her girls, but that “she’s just completely wiped by the time it gets around to after school.”

They also added that everything changed when her daughter Hope fell ill last year.

“When Hope was sick and hospitalized, everything changed for her with her views on work,” they added.

At the end of the day, the host struggled to create a healthy work-life balance.

“I think people don’t realize to be on morning TV, it’s like being an athlete. Your whole life is about that.”

The insider said Hoda’s bedtime of eight o’clock meant that her growing girls were now having a later bedtime than their mom, and that was just one of the many issues.

“Hoda’s 60th birthday was a wake-up call that morning TV is a young person’s game, and the hours just get harder as you get older.”

HODA’S NEXT ACT

The beloved host has been in talks with NBC about her departure for “about a year” the source said.

The insider said that she will be staying within the NBC family and will be changing gears to special correspondent work and interviewing celebrities in long-format segments.

Hoda plans to continue recording her podcast, Making Space, and the accomplished children’s author will also continue authoring books.

Hoda Kotb's farewell letter to staff

Longtime Today host Hoda Kotb penned the following letter to staff announcing her departure:

“To my Today family,

“As I write this, my heart is all over the map. I know I’m making the right decision, but it’s a painful one. And you all are the reason why. They say two things can be right at the same time, and I’m feeling that so deeply right now. I love you and it’s time for me to leave the show.

“My time at NBC has been the longest professional love affair of my life. But only because you’ve been beside me on this twenty-six-year adventure. Looking back, the math is nuts. 26 years at NBC News – Ten years at Dateline, seven on the seven o’clock hour, sixteen on the ten o’clock hour. I’m picturing your faces and your families and all the ways you’ve lifted me up and inspired me. That’s my heart singing. So many of my professional relationships have become some of my most cherished friendships. Savannah: my rock. Jenna: my ride-or-die. Al: my longest friend at 30 Rock. Craig, Carson, Sheinelle and Dylan: my family. Libby, Mazz and Talia: my fearless leaders. I will miss each and every one of you at TODAY desperately.

“I’ve been weighing this decision for quite a while – Am I truly ready? But, my sixtieth birthday celebration on the Plaza felt like a shift. Like a massive, joyful YES, you are! I saw it all so clearly: my broadcast career has been beyond meaningful, a new decade of my life lies ahead, and now my daughters and my mom need and deserve a bigger slice of my time pie. I will miss you all desperately, but I’m ready and excited.

“Because I’ll be working through the beginning of 2025, there’s plenty of time to talk about what’s ahead for all of us. But one thing I know for sure right now is this: everything’s going to be just fine. The Peacock’s feathers are never ruffled… no matter who comes or goes. TODAY and its amazing people — all of you — never waver. You always weather change with grace and guts.

“Happily and gratefully, I plan to remain a part of the NBC family, the longest work relationship I’ve been lucky enough to hold close to my heart. I’ll be around. How could I not? Family is family and you all will always be a part of mine.

“Love,

“Hoda”

Sir Mark Cavendish’s last ever race confirmed after Tour de France heroics – but it won’t count if he wins

SIR MARK CAVENDISH has confirmed his final pro cycling race will be next month – but he can’t add to his staggering haul of official victories.

The Manx Missile, 39, earned a record-breaking 35th Tour de France stage success in July.

In all, the 39-year-old has 165 wins, including stage triumphs at the 2024 Tour Colombia and Tour of Hungary.

And having already announced he’s retiring this year, Cavendish has now revealed the Singapore Criterium will be his last hurrah on the pro stage.

The three-time UCI track world champ will compete in the professional peloton on day two, November 10.

However, the criterium is not a UCI event, so whatever happens Cavendish’s career CV will remain on 165 victories.

The all-time great road sprinter insists he WILL take the wheel for other, non-pro races after his peloton in the Far East.

But Cavendish has yet to say when and where, and has ruled out racing beyond 2024.

After picking up a knighthood from Prince William last week, the husband of former model Peta Todd said: “I’ve still got races this year.

“I’m still training for them, it will be really nice to race as a Knight Commander.”

Cavendish added: “I’ve already said I won’t do another Tour de France.

“I am very fortunate to have got to do what I love for so many years and to see other people inspired by that and riding bikes themselves.”

Cavendish is best-known for passing Belgian icon’s Eddy Merckx record of 34 Tour de France stage triumphs in the summer, having won his first way back in 2008.

After reaching his landmark 35 this summer, he said: “I’m in a bit of disbelief.

“You sprint as hard as you can until you get to the finish and maybe your life changes if you cross that line first, maybe it doesn’t if you don’t.

“That is the nature of this race and what makes it so beautiful.”

Death row inmate Richard Moore has just days to make chilling choice of HOW he’ll die – and firing squad is an option

A DEATH row inmate set to be executed in just weeks has been asked to make a chilling choice of how he would like to die.

Richard Moore, 59, has been sentenced to death next month for brutally shooting a store assistant dead in South Carolina in 1999.

A letter from the state’s prison authorities asked Moore whether he would prefer to get executed by firing squad, lethal injection or electric chair.

And he must choose before October 18, the letter said.

If he fails to make a decision, he will be electrocuted to death as per the state laws.

South Carolina’s electric chair, which was built more than a century ago in 1912, was tested last month – and was found to be working properly.

The state also permits execution by firing squad, a method that was introduced by the government in 2021.

Bryan Stirling, South Carolina’s Corrections Director, said that the prison has trained and instructed three volunteers on how to shoot a person directly in the heart.

The appropriate guns and ammunition have also been stocked, he added.

In 1999, an unarmed Moore entered a shop run by James Mahoney in a bid to rob it.

The shopkeeper was initially not hurt, but a brawl between the two led to a shootout where Moore was able to grab hold of a gun and shoot the store clerk in the chest.

Mahoney later died from the fatal bullet wounds.

Moore was also linked to a series of crimes, including habitual traffic offences, unlawful weapon possession, purse snatching, robbery and physical assault, Post and Courier reports.

He was also a regular consumer of crack cocaine, Daily Mail reports.

The convicted killer has been sitting on a death penalty sentence for more than 23 years now.

He is the first person ever to be given a death sentence in a murder case where the killer was initially unarmed.

Moore has pleaded to the US Supreme Court to stop the execution – and has asked the state governor Henry McMaster for a mercy petition.

But a South Carolina governor has never granted mercy to an inmate on the death penalty in recent times.

If the execution – set to take place on November 1 – goes ahead, Moore will only be the second person to be put to death by authorities after the state resumed death penalties following a 13-year pause.

The first person to be executed in recent years was Freddie Owens who was convicted of murdering a convenience store worker in 1997 following a failed robbery attempt in Greenville.

But he was sentenced to death when he killed Christopher Lee, a fellow prisoner, at a county jail during his trial.

His final moments saw his face twitching for five minutes as he was executed in a South Carolina prison last month.

The cold-blooded killer uttered a single “bye” to his attorney before he was given a lethal injection.

U.S. death penalty laws

THE death penalty in the United States is governed by both federal and state laws.

Its legality and application can vary depending on the jurisdiction.

The federal government allows the death penalty for certain crimes such as terrorism, espionage, treason, large-scale drug trafficking, and murder of a federal official or law enforcement officer.

The Federal Death Penalty Act (1994) provides the legal framework for death penalty procedures in federal cases, outlining offenses that are eligible for capital punishment and procedural protections for defendants.

As of now, 24 states permit the death penalty, while 23 have abolished it or have moratoriums.

Each state has its own laws regarding which crimes are punishable by death, usually limited to first-degree murder with aggravating circumstances (e.g., multiple murders, killing a police officer, or murder during a violent crime like robbery).

Lethal injection is the most common method of execution across the U.S., but some states have alternative methods, such as the electric chair, gas chamber, hanging, or firing squad, as secondary options or by choice of the condemned.

Some states have imposed moratoriums (temporary halts) on executions, such as California, Oregon, and Pennsylvania, even though the death penalty remains legal in those states.

There has been a growing trend toward abolition, as public opinion has shifted, concerns about wrongful convictions have arisen, and the costs of death penalty cases have increased.

Death penalty cases involve a complex and lengthy appeals process, which includes automatic appeals to higher courts.

This process is designed to ensure that convictions are accurate and that no constitutional rights were violated during the trial.

Defendants in capital cases are afforded specific protections, such as the right to effective legal counsel and mental health evaluations.

Filly, real name Andres Felipe Valencia Barrientos, was arrested by cops after allegedly attacking the woman in her 20s in his Perth hotel.

The 29-year-old appeared in a Perth court for the first time today after he was arrested in Brisbane Tuesday.

Filly was bailed following the hearing but only after Magistrate Tanya Watt rejected police’s attempt to keep him in prison.

Watt bailed Filly, but has banned him from contacting the victim and posting on social media about the case.

He must also pay a $100,000 (£50,000) surety, report daily to Perth Police Station, and he must stay in WA.

Filly appeared in court after detectives from WA Police’s sexual assault squad charged Filly with four counts of sexual penetration without consent.

They also arrested him on three counts of assault and one count of impeding a person’s normal breathing or circulation by applying pressure to their neck.

Prosecutors said they had an “extremely strong” case supported by CCTV and photo evidence.

WA police prosecutor Julius Depetro said Filly should remain behind bars and not get bail: “This has already made headlines.”

“Given nature of social media, nature of people jumping on bandwagons, given the nature of (the) power imbalance between the parties.”

Depetro also provided the magistrate with photos that raised the issue of consent and were not shown to the court, the ABC reported.

Filly’s lawyer, Perth barrister Seamus Rafferty, argued that prison would be too onerous and his client would likely face 23-hour lockdowns for two years before a trial.

Rafferty also argued that banning social media for Filly was unrealistic in the modern age.

The defence questioned the strength of the prosecution’s case saying she did not raise concerns about sexual assault during a call with a friend at 5.30am local time.

He said the issue of intoxication would be a significant matter at trial.

Filly was in Australia at the time for a music tour – with the alleged rape happening after a performance at Bar1 Nightclub in northern Perth.

Footage of the rapper performing at Perth’s Bar1 Nightclub just hours before the alleged rape was posted to TikTok by the venue.

The raucous show had a packed crowd rapping along with Filly’s songs.

The alleged attack happened on September 28 after he had performed the show on the 27th.

Filly kicked off his Australia tour in Perth before heading to Melbourne, Sydney and the Gold Coast, where he played four shows.

He had performed at Havana Nightclub on the Gold Coast two days before his arrest.

Police arrested the rapper in Brisbane, on Australia’s east coast, and flew him six hours back across the Outback to Perth.

Footage showed Filly being escorted through Perth airport with his hands cuffed in front of him on Wednesday flanked by two officials.

Further footage shows the influencer – who landed his own BBC show called Hot Property in 2019 – being placed in the back of a car.

Fans of Filly gathered outside the court and sat inside the public gallery during the hearing, while others commented on the bar’s social media channels.

Filly has 1.8m subscribers on YouTube and 3.2m followers on Instagram.

Filly’s lawyer revealed in court his client earns $700,000AUD (£360,000) a year from social media alone.

Barrientos began his online career in 2013 before breaking into the music industry in 2017.

He featured on Channel 4’s The Great Celebrity Bake Off in 2022 and has previously presented on the BBC’s Hot Property.
