JAI OPETAIA took 44 punches to his stomach in a brutal training routine ahead of his blockbuster bout this weekend.
The IBF cruiserweight champion, 29, is set to defend his belt against Britain’s Jack Massey in Saudi Arabia this weekend.
Aussie Opetaia has been stepping up his preparation for the fight with intense training sessions.
In footage filmed by SunSport, the southpaw can be seen taking 44 shots to the stomach in quick succession.
Throughout the 34-second sequence, Opetaia makes no attempt to fight back or defend the blows.
The 25-0 bruiser was last in action in May against Mairis Briedis.
On that occasion he earned back his IBF title, having previously vacated the belt.
Massey, 31, will attempt to dethrone Opetaia in Saturday’s much-anticipated bout.
The Cheshire-lad spent 2022 scaffolding with his brother, before a narrow points loss to heavyweight Joseph Parker the following year got his career moving again.

MADELEINE McCann suspect Christian Brueckner is planning an audacious bid for early release and up to £200,000 in damages.
Lawyers for the paedophile — cleared of rapes this week — want to appeal a separate conviction keeping him in jail.
In 2019, he was found guilty of the 2005 rape of an American woman in Portugal’s Algarve.
That relied on the testimony of key Madeleine witness Helge Busching, who a judge called “unreliable” and “a liar”.
A successful challenge could free Brueckner before his current September 2025 release.
Madeleine prosecutors have admitted they face a race against time to keep him in jail.
A court source said: “Brueckner’s lawyer said in court he did not believe the 2019 conviction was safe and could be challenged after a witness was discredited.
“Appeals aren’t quick but there is a chance he is released sooner.
“He’d also have a clear path to try for compensation.”
Under German law anyone wrongfully imprisoned can receive £63 for each day in jail, plus further compensation.
Other legal experts believe any appeal has little chance of succeeding as one of his hairs were found at the 2005 scene.
Brueckner was identified as prime Madeleine suspect in 2020 but is yet to be charged over the three-year-old’s disappearance in Praia da Luz, Portugal, in 2007.
He denies any involvement.
Golden Bachelorette star Guy Gansert’s ex claims he ‘threatened to shoot her’ in request for restraining order
THE GOLDEN Bachelorette star Guy Gansert has been accused of domestic violence in a restraining order request filed three years ago.
According to court records exclusively obtained by The U.S. Sun, Guy, 66, “physically tried to threaten” a former partner in 2021 after their split.
On October 12, 2021, a woman filed an application for a “protection order against domestic violence” after an alleged startling encounter with Guy.
After leaving a gym and getting into her car with a female friend, Guy approached the vehicle and briefly spoke to the two women, the ex claimed.
She got out of the car, and said she “realized he had placed something under the rear driver’s tire.”
Before she could bend down to take a look, Guy removed the unknown object and began to “disparage” her, she said.
“After disparaging me for some time and my now-boyfriend, he pointed his finger like a gun then ‘shot’ at me,” the ex claimed in the documents.
“He motioned like he was going to shoot me with his hand shaped like a pistol.”
The friend allegedly missed him making this motion because her “head was down and she didn’t see it.”
This incident was the first time he threatened her, the ex noted.
The former partner chose not to call police and instead filed the restraining order, requesting up to 45 days of protection.
In the filing, she claimed: “He is unstable. He said…he took Ambien at 4am.
“He also said he took 10 pills. I don’t know if the pills were all Ambien.
“He doesn’t sleep and is extremely unstable.”
Ambien is a sedative used for the short-term treatment of insomnia.
SCARY TEXTS
The former partner, while filling out a section about any incidents of past threats, claimed that Guy would send her “stacks of text messages” before the October 2021 incident.
The texts, which he allegedly began sending in July 2021, were about “trying to reconcile” – but she said he would then “flip to anger.”
“If needed, I can provide text messages and a video of adverse party trespassing on my property when he was aware I was not home,” she wrote.

The former couple was supposed to have a hearing regarding the protective order on November 3, 2021, but the woman chose to voluntarily dismiss the application, as she no longer wanted to pursue action.
The couple reached a “no-contact agreement,” as indicated in the dismissal notes.
The temporary protection order was ultimately never granted.
Guy has not responded to The U.S. Sun’s call for comment.
KEEP IT UNDER WRAPS
Guy, an emergency room doctor, made his TV debut on September 18 when he was introduced as one of the contestants vying for Joan Vassos’ heart.
On September 30, the doctor and his ex filed a joint emergency motion to seal the protective order records, as seen in filings obtained by The U.S. Sun.
The Nevada physician indicated that he “participated in a nationally syndicated television show in July and August of 2024,” which is the time The Golden Bachelorette was filmed, and that his “participation in this show was, until recently, unforeseen and subject to a non-disclosure agreement.”
He explained, “However, based on my participation in this show and the audience viewership, I have a grave and ever-increasing concern that the substance of the underlying case may be publicly exposed and thus create unnecessary exposure, harassment, embarrassment, and potentially personal harm to myself….my children and grandchild, and extended family.”
GOOD ‘GUY’
In the filing, Dr. Gansert said that he is a “successful and well-respected medical doctor in Reno.”
On October 4, the motion to seal the records was denied because the parties’ motion “did not present any compelling legal authority” to support the rule granting the relief.
After three weeks in the Bachelor mansion, Guy is a frontrunner in the race to win over Joan.
The doctor won over fans in last week’s episode when he consoled fellow contestant Charles Ling and answered medical questions about his late wife’s sudden death.
He also charmed viewers by joining eliminated star Kim Buike in singing a cheesy song for Joan called The Mansion Men after the emotional Rose Ceremony.

Golden Bachelorette fans became enraged when it was recently revealed contestant Gil Ramirez was served with a restraining order by an ex-girlfriend just days before the season began filming.
According to People, Gil “made repeated unwanted contact” with the woman, she claimed in court documents.
“Despite telling him to not contact me, come to my house…he made repeated unwanted contact with me, family members and friends,” she wrote in the request.
“Twenty five attempts daily via phone, texts, video. Although [he] lives an hour away — [he] showed up at places I frequent to confront me on a daily basis.”
A judge granted the temporary restraining order, and a hearing was set for July 2.
However, the hearing was postponed, because the order was unable to be served to Gil- likely because he was away filming the ABC reality show.
The temporary restraining order was ultimately dismissed on July 24.
“This filing occurred in the brief period between completion of our thorough background investigation and exhaustive vetting process, and the beginning of production,” a source close to The Golden Bachelorette told People last month.
A source exclusively told The U.S. Sun that Gil is now in danger of losing his job as an athletic director at a California high school.

Lincoln penny with ‘matte’ detail is worth $66,000 at auction – but you need to look for the exact date on the front
A LINCOLN penny recently fetched a jaw-dropping $66,000 at auction, thanks to a combination of rarity, condition, and a unique “matte” detail.
But to find out if you have one of these valuable coins sitting in your collection, you need to check for a very specific date and mintmark.
The penny in question is the 1909-S VDB cent, a rare and highly sought-after coin among collectors, per Heritage Auctions.
This specific penny was graded as MS65 Red and Brown by PCGS Professional Coin Grading Service.
It has also earned a Certified Acceptance Corporation sticker, further boosting its value.
WHY SO VALUABLE?
The 1909-S VDB cent stands out because it was part of the first year of issue for the Lincoln cent series.
It was designed by sculptor Victor David Brenner, per the auctioneering site.
The “S” mintmark indicates it was produced at the San Francisco Mint.
Meanwhile “VDB” represents Brenner’s initials, located on the reverse side of the coin near the rim.
Due to complaints from the public about the prominence of Brenner’s initials, the Mint quickly removed them.
This made the 1909-S VDB cents in circulation scarce.
Only 484,000 were ever produced, making them one of the lowest-mintage Lincoln pennies.
KEY CHARACTERISTICS
The 1909-S VDB penny that was recently sold was graded MS65 Red and Brown.
This means that it has a significant amount of its original red luster intact — around 90%, according to the grading notes.
The coin’s bold strike and sharp details, particularly Brenner’s initials, add to its visual appeal.
How coins are graded
Coins are graded on a scale of one to 70, with one being the poorest grade, and 70 being the most pristine example.
Numbers 60 to 70 are generally the most sought-after by collectors and are known as Mint State coins.
Pieces that fetch thousands at auction are commonly found in MS67, MS68, and MS69 conditions.
An MS-70 is near-impossible to find among older coins.
These characteristics, combined with its scarcity, helped drive its impressive auction price.
The weight of the coin is 3.11 grams, made from 95% copper and a small mixture of tin and zinc.
These details contribute to its classification as a Red and Brown coin.
HOW TO SPOT
If you’re hoping to find one of these valuable coins in your collection, look for some key details.
The coin must be from 1909 with an “S” mintmark below the date.
And you should check the reverse side of the penny at the bottom rim to see if it bears Brenner’s initials “VDB.”
Even if your coin shows some wear or lacks the bright red luster, it could still be worth thousands of dollars, as even lower-graded 1909-S VDB pennies are in high demand among collectors.

REAL Housewives of Salt Lake City star Meredith Marks has moved into a new house to film Season 5 of the Bravo show.
Meredith, 52, her husband Seth Marks, and children Brooks and Chloe, filmed inside a $7.5 million mansion in Park City, Utah, which the matriarch has been renting for $35,000 per month.
It is unclear when the family started renting the mansion.
But in property records obtained by The U.S Sun, the listing was removed in January 2024 because the Marks family moved in.
The new season, which hit our screens last month, started filming in early February.
Each season of the reality show normally takes three to four months to film – and the property was listed again for rent in June this year.

Donald Trump boasts it’s ‘very special to be here’ as he holds rally in Biden’s hometown and vows to win Pennsylvania
DONALD Trump is hosting rallies in President Joe Biden’s hometown to sway supporters as Hurricane Milton distracts from campaign efforts.
Trump and his opponent Kamala Harris are fighting for votes in battleground states despite a historic storm brewing off the Florida coast.
On Wednesday, Trump traveled to Scranton, Pennsylvania, where Biden was born, to convince working-class Democrats to vote red.
The former president held a standard rally and encouraged his supporters that, with their votes, they would win the state.
“If we win Pennsylvania we’ll win the whole thing,” Trump told the roaring crowd.
“And your taxes will come down and your safety will go up.”
Trump’s speech centered around energy policies boasted by Harris, as he believes she will cut jobs by banning fracking and shutting down nuclear plants.
Meanwhile the former president proclaimed his plan to make the US a global energy supplier, playfully saying, “drill, baby drill.”
He wishes to encourage oil and gas companies to expand fracking, creating job opportunities for Pennsylvanians.
“We will make Pennsylvania an energy supplier to the entire world,” he said.
Harris encouraged a fracking ban before taking office, but now says she wouldn’t impose restrictions if she is voted president.
Trump said it was “very special to be here” in Pennsylvania, especially after he survived an assassination attempt just hours away.
The former president mourned the loss of Corey Comperatore, a dad who died protecting his family from gunfire at the rally in Butler.
However, he went on to celebrate how his team managed to raise millions for his mourning family.
At one point, Trump went off the teleprompter to commend supporters who bravely held their ground during the shooting.
Trump blasted President Biden and Harris’ rescue efforts in North Carolina after the state was razed by Hurricane Helene.
Pennsylvania is a crucial swing state that Trump barely lost in 2020, sacrificing 20 electoral votes to Biden.
However, recent polling found he’s edged 2 points ahead of his new rival Harris, The Hill reported.
Harris, meanwhile, has taken her campaign to the southwest, where she is preparing to hold a town hall with Spanish-language broadcaster Univision in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The event was initially planned to be in Florida, but had to be postponed because of brutal weather.
Biden is also altering his schedule to stay in the US as Milton blows over, choosing to cancel a trip to Germany and Angola.

Billionaire Jaguar, Land Rover, and Tetley tycoon Ratan Tata dies aged 86
INDIAN business tycoon Ratan Tata has died aged 86 tonight.
Tata was one of India’s most internationally recognised business leaders and his conglomerate, the Tata Group, owns iconic British motor brands Jaguar and Land Rover.
The Tata Group, which he led for more than two decades, is one of India’s largest companies, with annual revenues in excess of $100bn.
The business tycoon was admitted to the Breach Candy Hospital in south Mumbai, India, this week where he underwent intensive care.
But he sadly died at the hospital aged 86 on Wednesday night.
Tata Sons chairman N Chandrasekaran confirmed Tatas death and described him as his friend, mentor, and guide in a statement.
During his tenure as chairman of the Tata Group, the conglomerate made several high-profile acquisitions.
The group purchased British tea firm Tetley in 2000 for $432 million and Anglo-Dutch steelmaker Corus in 2007 for $13 billion – at the time the biggest takeover of a foreign firm by an Indian company.
Tata Motors then acquired British luxury auto brands Jaguar and Land Rover from Ford Motor Co in 2008 for $2.3 billion.
His pet projects at Tata Motors included the Indica – the first car model designed and built in India – as well as the Nano, touted as the world’s cheapest car.
Tata contributed initial sketches for both models.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi described Tata as a visionary leader, a compassionate and an extraordinary human being.
Modi said on X, formerly Twitter: “He provided stable leadership to one of Indias oldest and most prestigious business houses.
“At the same time, his contribution went far beyond boardrooms.”
After graduating with a degree in architecture at Cornell University, Tata returned to India.
In 1962 he began working for the group his great-grandfather had founded nearly a century earlier.
He worked in several Tata companies, including Telco, now Tata Motors Ltd, as well as Tata Steel Ltd later making his mark by erasing losses and increasing market share at group unit National Radio & Electronics Company.
In 1991, he took the helm of the conglomerate when his uncle J.R.D. Tata stepped down – the passing of the baton coming just as India embarked on radical reforms that opened up its economy to the world and ushered in an era of high growth.
In one of his first steps, Tata sought to rein in the power of some heads of Tata Group’s companies, enforcing retirement ages, promoting younger people to senior positions and ramping up control over companies.
Tata retired as chairman in 2012 and was currently Chairman Emeritus of Tata Sons.
After he stepped back from the Tata Group, the billionaire became known as a prominent investor in Indian startups.
He backed a plethora of companies including digital payments firm Paytm, Ola Electric, a unit of ride hailing firm Ola, and home and beauty services provider Urban Company.
A licensed pilot who would occasionally fly the company plane, Ratan Tata never married and was known for his quiet demeanour, relatively modest lifestyle and philanthropic work.
Among his many awards, he received the Padma Vibhushan, India’s second highest civilian honour, in 2008 for exceptional and distinguished service in trade and industry.
