What Trump really means when he says immigrants have “bad genes”

Former president Donald Trump’s new anti-immigration line sounds like a very old one: that immigrants are biologically worse than native-born Americans. In the latest episode of conservative pundit Hugh Hewitt’s podcast, Trump argued that the impulse to murder is determined by one’s genetics — and that immigrants today have “bad genes.” The comments seem to […]

Chilling footage shows inside Hezbollah terror tunnel burrowing from Lebanon into Israel uncovered by commandos

THE IDF has revealed chilling new footage of the inside of a Hezbollah terror tunnel that crossed into Israeli territory from Lebanon.

The clip shows crack commandos from the Israeli military storming the 20-meter-long tunnel before destroying it as they continue to target key Hezbollah infrastructure.

Located by the IDF during physical raids, the terror tunnel crossed the UN-recognized blue line by 10 meters at the western sector of the border near the Lebanese village of Marwahin.

Troops also found weapons inside the tunnel, including explosives and anti-tank missiles.

It was built dangerously close to the Israeli settlement of Zar’it that sits right next to it.

IDF said Hezbollah began constructing the tunnel some two years ago, but the tunnel had no exit built into the Israeli territory – and that no Israeli settlement was ever under threat by the tunnel.

According to the IDF, there are no other tunnels known to cross into Israel from Lebanon.

It comes after Israeli special forces stormed another Hezbollah tunnel and found a command centre with weapons.

Footage showed the IDF’s elite soldiers moving through the 250m-long tunnel before they destroyed it as part of their invasion.

The tunnel was only 300 metres from the border and did not cross into Israel, the IDF says.

The rooms in the underground hideout contain showers, a kitchen, and even a small relaxation spot with a tea kettle and a TV.

The IDF said the tunnels were found on the border during the cross-border attacks conducted by special forces over recent weeks.

MIDDLE EAST TINDERBOX

Last night, Hezbollah’s acting leader issued a chilling warning to Israel from inside a hidden bunker – vowing to furiously fight on.

Naim Qassem, 71, gave a television address from inside war-torn Lebanon as the biggest-ever rocket blitz from the terror group rained down on an Israeli city.

The stand-in boss Qassem defiantly said the terror group is still intact despite Israel dealing “powerful blows” in recent weeks.

He said: “The party’s leadership and the resistance [Hezbollah] are meticulously organised.

“We have overcome painful blows.

“We are firing hundreds of rockets and dozens of drones. A large number of settlements and cities are under the fire of the resistance.

“Our capabilities are fine and our fighters are deployed along the front lines.”

The acting chief also said there are “no vacant posts” in Hezbollah’s leadership as he appeared to speak from a secret underground bunker.

He promised Israel that they would continue to bring the fight to them.

Despite becoming the acting leader after Nasrallah’s death, Qassem has not confirmed if he will remain in the role going forward.

He added that the new commander in chief will be named soon with the war setting back the usual procedures around succession.

Qassem also spoke on a potential ceasefire to stop the back-and-forth strikes in the region.

The talks are currently being supported by Lebanese parliamentary speaker Nabih Berri who is a key Hezbollah ally.

No details of what the temporary pause in fighting may look like have been revealed so far.

Qassem remained tight-lipped about the conditions that Hezbollah may demand to halt Israel’s invasion.

He was thrown into the top role within the Iran-backed para militant group after a range of calculated IDF strikes wiped out Hezbollah’s chain of command one by one.

The biggest scalp saw former chief Hassan Nasrallah targeted with a number of bunker-buster bombs in Lebanon.

Hezbollah’s weapons smuggling chief was also killed in yet another Israeli kingpin strike in Lebanon yesterday.

a poster showing the chain of command of the idf

The IDF said Suhail Hussein Husseini controlled transfers of huge stashes of advanced weapons through Syria from allies in Iran.

Prime Minister Netanyahu has also confirmed today his forces had killed Nasrallah’s original successor before he could take up his new post.

In a plea to the people of Lebanon to reject the terrorists infesting their nation, Netanyahu claimed for the first time that Hashem Safieddine was the latest kingpin killed.

He said: “We damaged the capabilities of Hezbollah; we killed Nasrallah, Nasrallah’s successor, and the successor of Nasrallah’s successor.”

Israel also moved its first reserve division into southwestern Lebanon to carry out “limited, localised and targeted operations”.

It said the 146th Division will operate alongside another brigade and additional forces to “expose and dismantle terrorist infrastructure”.

A year of devastation in Middle East

CHAOS has eurpted acorss the Middle East since Hamas launched a brutual campaign of terror on October 7 last year.

It was the catalyst that plunged four nations – Israel, Palestine, Lebanon and Iran – into war, killing tens of thousands and marking a historic shift in the Middle East.

Hundreds of terrorists stormed the border between Gaza and Israel, slaughtering over 1,200 Israelis and kidnapping hundreds more.

In the months since Israel has almost completely destroyed the strip to eradicate the group and bring home its trapped people.

More than 41,000 people in Gaza have been killed – almost 10,000 of them being children.

IDF claims at least 11,000 of them were Hamas men.

Amid the ongoing military operation, bombings and airstrikes have flattened the majority of the buildings, and the strip has been reduced to rubble.

Heavy airstrikes, the blocking of aid and the targeting of hospitals and refugee camps where the IDF says terrorists are hiding have left most of Gaza a smoking wasteland.

And for those who are still alive and crammed into parts of the tiny strip, malnutrition is rife and famine is a fast-approaching fear.

Experts have branded the spiralling situation in the Middle East as “one of the biggest human rights crises in the world right now” – triggered by the October 7 atrocity.

Israel has been the subject of enormous international scrutiny as the enormous death toll of civilians in Gaza continues to grow bigger.

But amid international cries for peace, Israeli PM Netanyahu has vowed not to stop until Hamas is destroyed.

Israel’s military pursuit in Gaza has also crossed the borders of Lebanon, with the IDF now conducting a targeted military invasion against Hezbollah – Iran’s top terror proxy group.

Iran – Israel’s archenemy – has suffered major blows with the death of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah and has targeted Israel with direct missile strikes twice – with the latest hit taking place just last week.

The world now awaits Israel’s response to the Iranian strike, and how Ali Khamenei’s regime will react to it, as an all-out Middle East – which could potentially drag the West – is on the brink.

I’m an A&E doc & sex among the staff on shift is rife – I’d once slept with every man in my dept

WHEN we go to A&E, not only are we in desperate need of help, but most of us expect to be treated with professionalism at all cost. But, according to a medical professional, what’s secretly going on behind those sanitized doors is FAR from that.

One 42-year-old female doctor, who has been working in hospitals for 19 years, has revealed to Fabulous the sterile corridors and rest rooms for medical staff is rife with kinky sex, drugs and rock and roll lifestyle.

a nurse wearing glasses and a stethoscope sits on a chair
A 42-year-old female doctor revealed hospital workers routinely have sex with each other and cheat on their partners (stock image)
Alamy

Here she lifts the lid on A&E’s dirty secrets…

There’s a reason why I chose not to marry a doctor. I know exactly how they behave, particularly the male ones.

I learnt the hard way, I was engaged to one and he left me for a nurse.

Male doctors tend to sleep with nurses and the cliché is true male consultants sleep with their secretaries.

The majority are at it.

I’ve learnt to knock on the restroom door – used for doctors on night shifts, before going in for a lie-down, lest there’s a couple having sex in there. I barged in once – never again!

The job we do is very hard and stressful, you’re confronted with death and illness every single day, so the counterpart is to party and have fun and make sure you make the most of life when you can.

I remember before I got married, sitting in team meetings and I’d slept with every male doctor in the room.

Seeing people with weird objects inside them often happens.

Secret doctor42

We’d all swap and change partners all the time, though not together that I witnessed.  It didn’t get awkward as we all knew the score.

And marriage doesn’t stop a lot of them from indulging – it’s an easy job to cheat because you often have to work overtime or strange shifts, so partners can’t keep track of your movements.

We have wild parties when anything goes. I used to frequently sleep with doctors in the back of my car.

On one summer evening, I remember going outside in the garden of the house where the party was.

I didn’t realise we were doing it on an ant hill – I went back in covered with bites both from the ants and mosquitos, I looked like a complete state but everyone just found it hilarious.

And of course, after the parties come the hangovers – but we’re well equipped to deal with that.

We often help ourselves to drugs particularly on the A and E wards as it’s hard to track the medicine in there. So we can take what we need, mostly painkillers and anti-sickness drugs.

There was one occasion when a group of us went out partying all night.

We went back to a doctor’s house and realised it was 5 am and our shift started at 8 am.

Luckily someone had some IV drips in the back of their car.

It was very cold outside, so they were half frozen but we popped them in the microwave and then set each other up.

I woke up two hours later, bleeding out into the bag. Got up, brushed myself down and went into work.

A male patient got an erection while I was putting in a catheter – that was awkward as his wife was just the other side of the curtain.

Secret doctor42

And I felt fine to do it – though I suspect the patients wouldn’t have been too impressed if they knew.

On another occasion, I was vomiting constantly with a terrible hangover but one of my mates soon sorted it with anti-sickness pills.

It’s a rare doctor that hasn’t raided the medicine cupboard and quite a few are hooked on prescription meds.

Though it’s a tough job there are some very funny moments – and we do gossip about them, without naming names, we need the light relief.

There was one woman who frequently came into A and E with something stuck inside her.

We’d often tak bets on what it would be next from hairbrushes to shampoo bottles.

Seeing people with weird objects inside them often happens.

One man came in with a vibrator in his bottom – it was one that played a little tune as the battery ran down.

It wasn’t an emergency so the poor man was sitting there bleeping every few minutes and trying to pretend he didn’t know where it was coming from.

A lot of people will lie to us about what happened.

I used to find it amusing to pretend to believe them and ask for more and more information and detail.

I do wish patients wouldn’t lie though, it makes treating you so much more difficult. I have a couple of honest patients.

One admitted to me that she’d been having heart palpitations but wanted to take cocaine at a wedding.

So I arranged an ECG for her to check it was in working order, then was able to ring her up and tell her there was nothing wrong and she could go ahead – though I did caution her not to take too much.

The thing to remember is that we’re human too and we behave badly, recreational drugs are rife in the profession, the only difference is we’ve got a medical degree.

One of my worst jobs is inserting catheters it’s a very fiddly procedure.

On one occasion a male patient got over excited when I was doing it and got an erection – that was awkward as his wife was just the other side of the curtain.

I’m sure some doctors do have relationships with patients though I’ve never heard about it – it would get you struck off.

It’s never appealed to me remotely – you know far too much about people.

But a surprising amount of patients try it on with us.

The doctor said a patient asked her on a date while receiving treatment for an STD (stock image)[/caption]

The least appealing one was when I was treating someone for an STD.

He sat there in front of me, with his girlfriend in the waiting room, admitting he was a cheat.

I was busy telling him he had chlamydia and just seconds later he asked me on a date. Quite how he imagined I’d accept I will never know!

Though I’d never have relationships with patients we do have favourite ones that we might spend more time with and take particular care.

But please don’t be rude to us.

Though having said that I realise that mostly people are only obnoxious when they’re scared and vulnerable and the bottom line is we’re here to look after you.

So though it might be tempting to ‘lose the vein’ and stab you multiple times with the needle to get your blood test, we never would.

Pete Wicks and Strictly partner Jowita get VERY close in steamy rehearsals – after sparking romance rumours

PETE Wicks and his Strictly dance partner Jowita Przystał have been spotted getting extremely close in rehearsals.

Snaps taken behind the scenes of Pete’s training have showed the pair getting steamy once again.

They’re busy preparing for a fresh dance routine for Saturday night – after Toyah Willcox was booted out.

Toyah, 66, and her partner Neil Jones were sent home just a week after being saved over Olympic swimmer Tom Dean, 24.

Meanwhile Pete has managed to avoid the dance off so far after sailing into week three.

He impressed the judges and viewers with his performance as George of the Jungle in a leopard print costume for the show’s Movie Week.

The chemistry between Pete and his leading lady Jowita was palpable on the dancefloor – as spotted by judges Motsi Mabuse and Shirley Ballas.

They were pictured cosying up to each other at a backstage drinks party after scoring 26 out of 40 for their samba.

In a backstage clip shared on Strictly‘s Instagram account, Jowita playfully teased Pete about his bold look for the performance, joking, “I still think you should keep that outfit.”

Pete is reportedly “head over heels” for the professional dancer – and fans are convinced they “look like they’ve been a couple for ten years.”

Man City targeting Premier League flop to take over as sporting director after Txiki Begiristain bombshell

MANCHESTER CITY have allegedly earmarked former Newcastle midfielder Hugo Viana as a potential replacement for outgoing chief Txiki Begiristain.

Sporting director Begiristain will step down from his position at the end of the season.

Viana spent four years at St James’ Park[/caption]

SunSport revealed this week that he will play a key role in identifying and appointing his replacement.

He will then spend six months helping the new chief settle into their new role.

While Begiristain’s successor is yet to be revealed, ex-Newcastle star Viana is believed to be in the frame.

The 41-year-old spent four years at St James’ Park as a player following his move from Sporting Lisbon in 2002 and made 61 appearances.

Since retiring, Viana has taken up a senior position in football.

He is currently director of football at Sporting Lisbon, having accepted the job in 2018.

Manchester United identified him as a potential candidate for the position of chief operating officer at Old Trafford earlier this year.

He caught the attention of Sir Jim Ratcliffe by assisting the transfer of Bruno Fernandes in 2020.

FOOTBALL FREE BETS AND SIGN UP DEALS

But taking over from Begiristain at Man City would be an even harder job.

City have won 14 major trophies under the guidance of the Spaniard, including the Champions League and six Prem titles.

But they are currently in the midst of a huge legal battle with the Premier League.

A hearing is underway into allegations that City broke PL rules more than 100 times in relation to sponsorship deals, player and manager contracts and failure to cooperate with the investigation.

City deny all the charges. An initial verdict is expected in the spring, but the saga is unlikely to end there and Begiristain will be gone before everything is resolved.

Man City vs the Premier League: Q&A

By Martin Lipton

BOTH Manchester City and the Premier League were claiming a win after their legal scrap over Associated Party Transactions.

SunSport sifts the claims to try to explain the latest issues.

What was the case about?

City were furious that Prem bosses brought in new tougher regulations – by the smallest possible majority under League rules – in February. They were aimed at blocking clubs bypassing financial controls by earning “unfair” amounts via sponsorship from a company with the same owners, or selling players on the cheap to teams under the same ownership umbrella.

Why were City so upset?

The Etihad club argued that the rules were illegal and had been deliberately aimed at them by rivals and were both flawed and politically driven. They also branded the “two thirds support” rule that has been part of Prem regulations since its inception as a “tyranny of the majority”

This was an Arbitration Tribunal – explain that?

Under Prem rules, any club has the right to ask for Arbitration if they are unhappy about the regulations or due process. The three retired judges heard evidence in June and their full ruling was distributed to the 20 Prem clubs on Monday afternoon.

And what did they say?

Depending on who you listen to, they either totally vindicated one side or the other. The actual answer is that there were “wins” for both City and the Prem. But it’s your choice which ones meant more.

OK, what were City’s wins?

Maybe the most important one in terms of the repercussions. That both the new rules and the previous version – brought  in after Saudi Arabia’s PIF bought Newcastle in 2021 –  were “unlawful” as they exclude shareholder loans to clubs in any APT calculations.  City also won over their claims that the rulebook prevented them from responding to Prem decisions over whether two proposed deals with Abu Dhabi companies represented “Fair Market Value”, access to the “databank” of comparable deals and the time it took for decisions to be reached.

That sounds pretty big. So what about the Prem’s side?

The key finding as far as the League is concerned is that the Tribunal backed the concept of APT rules as well as the Fair Market Value tests. Additionally, City’s challenges to the actual decisions on the two proposed deals “failed”. Prem bosses insist the “rulebook has been found to comply with competition and public law standards and is an effective and necessary system”.

Is that it, then?

Of course not. That shareholder loan issue is a big deal, given that it is believed owners have loaned around £1.5bn at low or preferential rates across the Prem. Those loans will almost certainly have to be calculated at commercial rates now, unless the owners convert them into shares. But the League is convinced the main thrust of the rules remains valid.

And what will be the impact on the “115 charges” case?

Probably nothing. That is an allegation of breaking the rules, while this matter was City questioning whether one small element of the current rulebook was legitimate. But City are using the same legal team, headed by £10,000 per hour Lord Pannick KC. And the stakes on the bigger case are a great deal higher.
