Trolls say I have the ‘tackiest’ home going & my daughter hates it too – I love my leopard print pad & pink shaggy walls

Simone Bevan, 39, has always been surrounded by animal prints as her mum, Liz, 61, had a leopard print sofa.

Simone says her wardrobe is 60 per cent animal print – and the rest is colour and sequins.

Trolls call Simone’s decor ‘tacky’ – but she doesn’t care.

Every day she steps out wearing at least one animal print piece and has now let her love influence her home interiors.

Simone went all out on a leopard print staircase, a pink shaggy wall in her make-up room and has a flamingo themed bathroom.

Despite trolls calling her “tacky” Simone loves her style and putting a smile on people’s faces.

Simone, a make-up artist, from Llanelli, Wales, said: “Every single day I wear something leopard print – shoes, bags or a coat.

“60 to 70 per cent of my wardrobe is leopard print.

“The rest is sequins and glitter – anything eye catching.

“I don’t like to be normal.

“I have always been a bit eccentric.

“This is me – this is what I like.”

Simone remembers being surrounded by prints as a toddler.

She said: “I’ve got photos of my as a two-year-old on a tiger print throw at my grandma’s.

“It’s been subliminally injected into me.”

Over the years leopard print has turned into her firm favourite and she has filled her wardrobe with different colour coats and items in the print.

After splitting with her ex-partner in August 2022, Simone decided to “sod it” and go “full hog” decorating her house.

Now she has a leopard print staircase, shaggy pink walls, and a leopard print knife set.

Her new partner, Aimee, 35, a warehouse operative, wasn’t sure about the leopard print stairs to start with but now loves it.

Simone said: “Aimee was trying to calm me down and said what about black and white leopard print but I said I’ve got to do it properly.

“When I walk out it puts a smile on my face.”

Simone’s daughter, 17, finds her mum’s obsession “cringe” but Simone wants to show her to embrace what she loves.

She said: “I have 100 per cent brought her up to know what she likes is OK.

“She doesn’t have to stick to a trend.

“Life is too short to be normal and boring.

“I don’t stick to what people think is acceptable.

“Leopard print is trending now – I’m in fashion.”

Simone shared an insight into her leopard print and colourful home on TikTok and was slammed by some trolls.

She said: “One person said ‘I feel sorry for you – this is the tackiest thing’.

“I feel sorry for them living in their boring grey lives.

“My favourite comment was ‘it’s Kat Slay-ter’.”

Simone is hoping to redecorate her bedroom next – and is hoping to sneak in some more leopard print if Aimee allows.

She said: “I’m not a millennial grey house girl – I want everything different.

“I would hate for someone to come in my house and feel like it’s a normal boring looking house.

“I want people to come in and go ‘this is amazing’ or have an opinion.”

Trends interior designers hate

IF you want to ensure that your home looks glam, here are the trends that interior designers can't stand.

NO YELLOW: According to Bilal Rehman, yellow paint in a bedroom is a big no no.

He said: “If you want everyone to know you’re a horse girl then yellow is perfect for you.”

SIGN OFF: Kelly Hoppen shared her honest thoughts on Live, Love, Laugh signs.

The interior pro explained: “Another gripe of mine – Live, Laugh, Love – those kinds of wooden things that sit on book shelves and floating shelves, that’s so 10, 12, 15 years ago.”

NO GREY YAY: Julie Provenzano explained that grey interiors have been overdone.

She stressed: “We took a good thing and we overdid it to the point that it now feels copy, paste, basic.”

But whilst many parents were desperate to nab them, not everyone was as keen on the taste[/caption]

And don’t worry if the cost of living crisis has meant that your purse feels tighter than ever before, as these bargain buys will set you back just 50p – yes, you heard that correctly.

It comes after one savvy shopper took to social media to share her latest B&M find, leaving many open-mouthed.

Posting on BARGAIN LOVERS Poundland, Home Bargains, B&M, Primark, The Range & More, a public Facebook group with 638,900 members, Anita Armstrong posted a picture of the adorable Christmas cookies, which you can buy in B&M stores.

Alongside the snap, she penned: “Cute little Christmas gifts for the teachers for 50p.”

The sweet iced shortbread cookies not only look adorable, but are incredibly purse-friendly too.

There’s four different festive designs to choose from – a Christmas tree, gingerbread man, snowman and Father Christmas.

They’ll be perfect for giving to teachers this Christmas and are just 75p each.

However, if you’ve got multiple teachers to buy for, you’ll be thrilled to know that they are also two for £1, making them just 50p each, saving you 25p a cookie.

Not only are they perfect for teachers, but they’re also sure to leave your little ones smiling if you put one in their stocking or Christmas Eve box.

Many mums were left stunned by the cheap cookies and quickly flocked to the comments to express this.

One person said: “Just bought some.”

Another added: “Look so cute.”

How to save money at B&M

Shoppers have saved hundreds of pounds a year by using B&M's scanner app.

The scanner lets you see if an item’s price is cheaper than advertised on the shop floor label.

Products that are typically discounted are seasonal items and old stock that B&M is trying to shift.

The app is free to download off the B&M Stores mobile app via Google Play or the Apple App Store.

According to one ex-B&M manager, you’ll want to visit your local branch at 10am on a Wednesday too.

Here’s how you can join the B&M bargain hunt:

  • Download the B&M app for free on any smartphone with an App Store or Google Play.
  • Once you’ve installed it on your device, click on the option labelled “more” on the bottom, right-hand side of the app home page.
  • You’ll then find an option that says “barcode scanner”. Click on this and you’ll open a camera screen.
  • Use the camera to hover over the barcode of the product you wish to check.
  • If the price comes up as lower, take it to the cash desk and it will automatically scan at the lower price.
  • You don’t need to sign up to the B&M app to use the barcode scanner.

A third commented: “Good for stockings, Christmas Eve boxes etc, how cute.”

Whilst one parent tagged a loved one and asked: “If you see these, can you get me two of each.”

However, not everyone was as keen on the taste of the festive finds.

One foodie claimed: “They’re cute and cheap but definitely don’t taste great.”

A second chimed in: “These are harder than a brick.”

Meanwhile, someone else slammed: “Cute but absolutely vile.”

Hugh Hefner had no idea how to please women – I felt trapped in the Playboy Mansion, says wife Crystal

CRYSTAL HEFNER has revealed that she was emotionally and financially abused by her husband Hugh who she said didn’t care whether his bunnies were happy.

The model, was just 21 when she first met the Playboy owner, who at the time was 81-years-old.

Crystal said that Hugh emotionally and financially abused her[/caption]

After first being invited to the Playboy mansion as a guest, Crystal was selected to become one of Hef’s girlfriends and in 2012 the pair wed, and stayed married until his death in 2017.

Crystal grew up in the UK, before relocating to the US with her parents at the age of eight.

She went to school in San Diego, and she and her mum were left struggling for money after her father died when she was just 12.

As Crystal became a teenager, she began to admire celebrities like Pamela Anderson and Carmen Electra and started to do modelling so that she could feel “powerful” and “beautiful” like them.

She quickly gained attention due to her stunning looks, and one day, a friend who she had made through modelling asked if she would like to submit a photograph to go to a party at the Playboy mansion.

The model was very insecure and had imposter syndrome, but her photograph was immediately accepted.

Crystal dressed up in a maid’s outfit for the party, and waited with dozens of other girls in a garage before being bussed into the mansion.

After arriving at the mansion for the first time, the model was invited to join Hugh himself in his cabana.

“Whatever Hef wants, Hef gets, so his security unclipped the rope and shuffled me in,” she told Em Clarkson on the Should I Delete That? podcast.

Describing what it was like meeting the Playboy owner for the first time, she said: “My soul left my body.”

She had no idea what to say to Hugh, as she wasn’t working at the time and was just studying at university.

However, she now admits: “He probably liked that, because I’m younger.”

Crystal described Hef as “magnetic and charming” but admits she now wishes that the media had questioned his behaviour towards his bunnies.

When she first met Hugh, he had two girlfriends, who were 19-year-old twins, making them 62 years younger than him.

Facts you didn't know about the Playboy Mansion

Girlfriends vs Playmates

Rumour has it that Hugh Hefner would have two to a dozen “girlfriends” living with him at a time. These girlfriends are not to be confused with Playmates. Each girlfriend had their own room, but one “special lady” was named as girlfriend number one and stayed with Hef in his room. Each girlfriend received a $1,000 (£760) weekly bonus “allowance.”

Hef’s Wild side

The Playboy mansion was home to a private zoo. It was one of very few private residences that actually has a zoo license. Hefner was a fan of birds. Among his collection – many of which roamed the grounds – were peacocks, macaws, flamingos, toucans and ducks.

The Elvis Legend

Within the mansion was a secret room, called “The Elvis Room.” Legend has it that the King himself, Elvis Presley, had a little slumber party in the room with up to eight eager bunnies.

“It’s so sad and they aren’t doing well now, they just got out of rehab,” she said of the twins.

Of the guests invited to Hugh’s parties, some were ‘playmates’ who were invited to sleep with him, whilst others were ‘girlfriends’.

After her first party, Hugh invited Crystal to stay for the weekend, and then soon after invited her to move in.

She quit university, and moved in to Bedroom 5, making her his fifth favourite girlfriend.

Desperate to win his favour and move up the ranks, Crystal began doing whatever Hef liked, and in doing this said that she began to lose herself.

“You definitely have to submit, and I was emotionally abused, financially abused, controlled physically,” she said.

“He would tell me what to look like and what to wear.”

When Crystal first got to the mansion, she loved to eat the food cooked by the four resident chefs.

However, Hugh soon told her she needed to lose weight so she dropped down to just eight stone.

Every Friday Hugh would give each of his girlfriends $1000.

“He gave us money, but never enough to leave, it was definitely financial abuse,” she said.

“Playboy was supposed to be a place of freedom, but I felt very trapped.”

Crystal recounted one incident where she had had an argument with Hugh and decided to leave the mansion.

However, she heard Hef telling the security team through a speaker. “If Crystal tries to leave, detain her”, and realised that she really was trapped.

After she had been at the mansion for a while, Crystal began having panic attacks, because of the “craziness” of the parties.

“Do men really think that women really enjoy having pillow fights and jumping on the trampoline?” she said.

She added that she didn’t feel like she could make friends with the other bunnies, as they were always being ranked in terms of Hef’s preference.

Once a week, Crystal and the other girlfriends all had to sleep with Hugh, and she said that every time she would be made to wear the same outfit, whilst the same music played, and he put the same porn on the TV.

She added that he would use baby oil as lube, which gave the girls infections.

“After a while I realised that he had no idea how to please a woman,” she admitted.

He gave us money, but never enough to leave, it was definitely financial abuse

Crystal Hefner

She even revealed that she wasn’t even sure that Hef himself enjoyed the sex, as he seemed like he was just going through the motions.

“He didn’t care how we felt and he didn’t care if we were happy, as long as he got what he wanted, it was twisted,” she said.

Crystal worked her way up the ranks to girlfriend number one, and one Christmas Eve was presented with a ring.

However, she walked out on him five days before the wedding before eventually reconciling with him again.

Explaining why she went back, Crystal said that she had tried to open a lingerie store, but it had failed, and had resigned herself to never finding love again after her high school sweetheart passed away.

“I thought maybe the mansion was my path”, she said.

Their whole wedding was filmed with Hugh receiving a $800,000 fee for the show, whilst Crystal was only given $2,500.

During her relationship with Hugh, he was lauded as an icon who could do no wrong, and it was only after the #MeToo movement took off that she began to feel validated.

“Most of the men at the mansion were disgusting, gross perverts and it made me feel so much better when all of that came out,” she said, referring to the movement.

Crystal left the mansion when she was 31, and now flips houses, as she no longer wants to do work that is defined by her looks.

She admitted that she never loved Hugh, as she had so much resentment towards him, and described him as being like the Wizard of Oz as he wanted people to think of him as being much grander than he was.

Kim Jong-un is sending Putin even MORE North Korean cannon fodder after ‘several hundred’ killed in suicide missions

KIM Jong-un is sending even more North Korean troops to fuel Putin’s meat grinder after 100 were already slaughtered, according to South Korean spies.

South Korean intelligence revealed that on top of the at least 100 North Korean (DPRK) deaths, around have been 1,000 injured – a significant chunk of the estimated 11,000 initially shipped over to Russia by Kim.

Similar reports of “several hundreds of casualties” amongst the North Koreans have come from the White House and US military.

Now, the National Intelligence Service (NIS) has revealed that merciless Kim will condemn even more of his troops to grisly deaths, thousands of miles from home, in support of his dictator pal Putin.

North Korean troops were confirmed on the front line for the first time at the weekend, after the first reports of them arriving in Russia back in October.

They were fighting mainly in the Kursk region of Russia, which is currently held by Ukraine.

The NIS attributes the high casualty rate to the fact that the North Koreans are fighting in “unfamiliar battlefields”.

They have very little experience of drone warfare, a key tactic of Ukraine, and so are being “consumed” like “canon fodder”.

The spy agency added that the Russian military had complained their North Korean comrades were a “burden” due to their “ignorance” of drones.

Video released earlier this week by the Ukrainian military shows drones decked out with Christmas toys including, reindeer and a Santa Clause, hunting down North Korean troops and picking them off with apparent ease.

A senior US military official said the DPRK troop’s injuries “would include everything from […] light wounds up to being KIA [killed in action],” and affect troops from lower-levels to “very near the top”.

He added: “These are not battle-hardened troops.

“They haven’t been in combat before,” which is “why they have been suffering the casualties that they have at the hands of the Ukrainians.”

The NIS also reported that Kim Jong-un is planning to himself inspect the training of the fresh troops that could be sent over.

A leaked audio recording of a phone call between a Russian nurse and her husband, allegedly intercepted by Ukraine’s security services, suggests Russia’s hospitals are crammed with North Korean casualties.

The conversation was between a nurse in the capital, Moscow, and her husband who is fighting in Kharkiv.

The woman can be heard saying: “Yesterday, there was a train with about 100 people.

“Today, 120 others, making 200.

“How many more are there?

“God only knows.”

Why is Kim helping Putin?

Patrick Harrington

Kim Jong-un is giving Putin military aid after the two leaders signed an agreement to assist each other earlier this year.

They vowed their countries would support each other in the face of “aggression” against either one.

This pact was reached during Putin’s visit to the North Korean capital Pyongyang, his first since 2000.

Kim said the agreement took their relationship to “a new, high level of alliance”.

Both leaders feel they are in conflict with the West, and that they form a stronger force working together.

Putin has felt increasingly threatened since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, because Nato has given Ukraine increasing permission to use its heavy weapons.

Nato has also been expanding, with Finland and Sweden joining in 2022, leading to Putin feeling encircled and outnumbered.

He will feel that he needs to nurture all of his ally relationships in the increasingly tense global context.

The woman complains that injured North Korean troops have flooded the hospitals, leaving Russians to be treated in worse conditions.

The frustrated nurse explains that the language barrier causes problems and Kim’s men don’t speak any Russian, and the medics are not allowed to use English – only a dodgy online translator.

This week there were reports North Korean troops accidentally killed eight of Putin’s troops after opening fire on them, unaware they were Russian as they couldn’t understand what they were saying.

Another video released by the Ukrainian military claims to show the bodies of scores of dead Russian and North Korean soldiers stacked together in the snow.

President Zelensky said there was evidence that Russian troops had even been scorching the faces of slaughtered North Koreans in order to hide their losses.

He said: “Russia is not only involving North Korean soldiers in assaults on Ukrainian positions but also trying to hide the losses of these people.

“After the battles with our guys, the Russians are also trying to… literally burn the faces of the killed North Korean soldiers.

“This is a demonstration of the contempt that now reigns in Russia—contempt for everything human.

“There is no reason for Koreans to fight and die for Putin.

“And even after their death, all that awaits them from Russia is mockery.”
