IT looks like under-fire Strictly pair Wynne Evans and Katya Jones have got their sparkle back.
The duo — stung by the backlash to their grope “joke” — were spotted laughing in Cardiff on Wednesday.
The Go Compare opera singer, 52, and his pro partner Katya, 35, appeared downcast just 24 hours before.
Women’s Aid had slammed them for saying it was an in-joke when Wynne grabbed Katya’s waist on Saturday night’s show.
The domestic abuse charity said: “Inappropriate behaviour towards women is no joke.”
Women’s Aid added: “With an epidemic of misogyny and violence against women and girls in the UK, we need a media culture where women feel safe to speak up, where sexually inappropriate conduct is not trivialised or joked about.
“It’s important we challenge inappropriate ‘jokes’ so we don’t continue normalising toxic attitudes that cultivate these forms of gender-based abuse.”
The pair are training in Cardiff, where Wynne presents the BBC Radio Wales lunchtime show.
Katya removed Wynne’s hand from her stomach after he slid it across from her waist and declined to high-five him on Saturday’s show.
The pair have been rapped over the knuckles by BBC bosses for the incident that was broadcast live and has become a viral sensation.
On Tuesday the pair looked downcast as they arrived at their training session in Cardiff as angry viewers called for their axe.
Both stars insisted there was nothing sinister behind Katya’s frosty reaction.

JUST at the point when I thought I’d run out of loathing for Big Brother, up popped housemate Segun to try to explain why he was still a virgin at the age of 25.
“No sex before marriage, innit,” he told Emma, who replied: “What religion is that?”
“Christianity.”
“OK, I didn’t know that was a religion. I thought it was some way of life,” like naturism or Pilates or headbanging, which is presumably what Emma must have been doing since about 1971.
Because the staggering thing about this exchange isn’t just the ignorance, it’s also the fact Emma is 53 and must have gone through school when Britain was still a more or less Christian country.
And now?
Well, if you watch television, you’re probably under the impression it’s a moral vacuum run by morons for morons, a fair few of whom have ended up in the ITV house, like Emma, Marcello and Lily who, at the age of 20, can go weeks without showering and still picks her nose before eating the contents.
A disgusting habit which gains a whole new layer of horror once you’ve discovered she works at a Chinese restaurant in Warrington.
Weird thing is, though, despite all the usual hype, ITV seems to have no great plan for these numbnuts, in terms of challenges and tasks, and for the most part has just encouraged them to sit around discussing their spiritual and political beliefs.
A really bad idea.
For inside that compound they have gathered every shade of stupid in the spectrum, from Tory boy Nathan, whose values don’t seem to stretch much beyond a vague kind of snobbery, to left-wing fun sponge Ali, who stomps around the house wearing a “Trans rights are human rights” T-shirt.
A phrase that means absolutely nothing yet speaks volumes about the self-importance and attention-craving nature of the idiot who’s wearing it.
Somewhere between these two polar opposites, there’s also: Lily, a “Labour girl” who drew a blank with the name “Keir Starmer”;
Marcello, who seems to have been planted by ITV to make some point about misogyny; and Daze, an environmental activist who hasn’t let the fact she’s the size of a recycling bin stop her telling the others: “People die of starvation every day,” or informing them: “All I want to do is rip into a juicy steak.”
You name the hot political issue, these doughballs have got an ill-informed opinion on it — and it all came to a moment of revelation on Friday when narrator Marcus Bentley announced: “Daze and Khaled are in the bedroom discussing Palestine.”
A word that gave away the production team’s own prejudices because, leaving aside the thorny issue of whether an independent Palestine state has ever existed, they were, in reality, discussing Israel and the wider Middle East when Daze said: “Actually, if you, like, boil it down, no one should be killed like this. It’s, like, not OK, regardless of the situation.”
A statement so empty and stupid it could’ve come straight from our current Government. ’Cos that’s the thing about Big Brother and its contestants.
Their stupidity is no longer unique. It’s lost its USP.
Everything else, including our politicians, seems to have dumbed down to their level and you could, in fact, swap Nathan for Jacob Rees-Mogg, Lily for Angela Rayner and Daze for David Lammy and I’m not saying it would be seamless, but the level of debate and collective IQ wouldn’t improve that much.
This all-new, politically driven Big Brother has, I’ll admit, succeeded in as much as it’s given me a whole new reason to hate the show.
But it’s failed in every meaningful way, including the viewing figures, which launched with a paltry 825,000 and dropped thereafter.
I’m one of the dwindling number who are duty-bound to watch, of course, and when last I looked they’d dressed Nathan up as Boris Johnson for a Downing Street food budget challenge, while Ali was threatening to quit Big Brother with the words: “I’m going to leave ’cos this sucks. It’s a s**t experience and I don’t want to have arguments with people on television.”
She didn’t make good on her threat, obviously.
But as epitaphs for this dying show go, it’s pretty unbeatable.
LATEST part of ITV’s ongoing attempt to turn itself into Channel 4 was a surprisingly solemn documentary with a very enticing billing – I Cut Off His Penis: The Truth Behind The Headlines.
A title which involves the network trying to hide its own gleeful prurience behind some academic tut-tutting and worthy medical opinions from the likes of Doctor Apirag Chuangsuwanich, a medic from the dong-chopping capital of the world, Thailand, who explained: “The problems of penis cutting are rooted deep in domestic issues.”
A possibility, I’m sure, you’d never considered.
The simple truth behind the headlines, though, as newspapers reported accurately at the time, was that a woman called Lorena Bobbitt severed her husband John’s prong then threw it out of her car window.
A lot of other abused women from across the world followed suit, including New Yorker Brigitte Harris, who later found solace, we learned, in her own food-delivery company, which really should be trading under the name Deliverow or Deliveroohyah, but hasn’t even had the nerve to go with Cocado.
Patient Zero, though, remains Lorena Bobbitt, who provided the one solid-gold quote of the night.
“As the whole world knows, I cut off his penis and there’s no way I can candy coat it.”
Well, there is, and you could’ve piped it full of apricot jam and put it on to bake at gas mark seven as well, but didn’t.

A GHOUL-LOVING couple have revealed what it’s like to live in Britain’s most haunted village.
Andrew Ayres and wife Anita Shean moved to Pluckley, near Ashford, Kent, three years ago.
The village is home to up to 15 spirits and ghost hunter Andrew said it made sense for him and psychic Anita, 54, to move.
It has been recognised by the Guinness World Records for being the most haunted in the country.
The 56-year-old says he loves living in the village despite experiencing things “that can’t be explained”.
Andrew claims that “scared” locals take a “dim view” of his business.
“It made sense for me to be based in the most haunted village in the country,” Andrew told What’s the Jam (whatsthejam.com).
“I’ve always been interested in the unexplained and my wife is a medium.
“When I told my friends and family we were moving to the most haunted village in the UK they asked what took us so long.
“A lot of tourists come here for the haunted aspect of it.
“There is a lot of negativity around it.
“People who were born here don’t really embrace it because it’s an expensive place to live and really idyllic and there are people running amok in the churchyard, especially at Halloween.
“The whole ghost hunting thing is dimly viewed.
“They don’t really embrace it. Maybe they’re scared that people messing with it will make the village more haunted.”
One spirit reported to be living in Pluckley is The Watercress Lady who earned her living selling the vegetable.
It’s said that one evening, she spilled gin down her clothes and lit her pipe causing her clothing to burst into flames.
Andrew takes groups on tours of the haunted spots in the village including the local pub and hall.
He says he’s had his own experiences with incidents that can’t be explained while living in the town.
Andrew said: “I did a Ouija board in the village hall and I wasn’t touching the glass so that people didn’t think that I was pushing it.
“We asked if the spirit had a message and they said yes.
“We asked who the message was for and the glass made a beeline for me.
“My birthday was coming up on 23 October and the glass shot to two and three.
“Then it spelled out ‘Anj’ which was a nickname that my mum used to call me.
“Then it spelled out ‘birthday boy’. It was amazing. I couldn’t explain it.”
Andrew had just quit his job in online marketing to take on ghost hunting when he met Anita met 20 years ago in their local pub.
They didn’t tell each other about their jobs for weeks out of fear of putting each other off.
The pair went on to have two children.
Andrew said: “I just happened to be a ghost hunter and she just happened to be a medium.
“We were a bit reserved about telling each other what we did. It could put someone off. It could be a swipe left or swipe right moment.
“When we go on holiday and people ask what we do, we look at each other and I say that I’m a plumber and Anita works at Tesco.
“People don’t want to sit with the Addams family.”
On top of doing 600 ghost tours a year, Andrew takes calls from locals who suspect their homes are haunted.
Andrew said: “I am a skeptic. I’m an investigator. You have to have an enquiring mind.
“You can’t go round saying that everything is a ghost.
“People call me all the time asking me to check out their house because they think it’s haunted.
“I ask them to keep a diary and usually the noises they’ve been hearing will be the heating coming on and the pipes creaking.
“People from all walks of life believe. Pilots and surgeons say they’ve seen ghosts.
“I wouldn’t say I’m an expert because I don’t think you can be an expert in the unknown but I have experience. I have experienced things that can’t be explained.”
Andrew says the couple plan on spending the rest of their lives in the “charmed” village.
He added: “It’s a lovely place. It has it’s history of being haunted. It fits with what I do.
“The village has had so many good things happen to it. The Darling Buds of May was filmed here.
“A lot of blessed things have happened here for such a small place as well as the great haunted aspect
“It’s a little charmed village.”

Berry Pomeroy Castle – A castle in Devon that is said to be haunted by the Blue Lady and the White Lady.
Blickling Hall – A grand hall in Norwich that was once home to the Boleyn family and is said to be one of the most haunted houses in Britain.
Hampton Court Palace – A palace in England that is known for being one of the most haunted attractions in the UK.
KANSAS City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid is placing his confidence in a veteran player.
The Kansas City Chiefs are dealing with multiple offensive injuries, and are expecting a wide receiver to step up and lead the team.
The Chiefs lost wide receiver Rashee Rice for the season, and already were missing veteran player Marquise Brown.
Without them, first-round rookie Xavier Worthy appeared to be the top target remaining for Patrick Mahomes.
However, veteran wide receiver Juju Smith-Schuster is the one stepping up for the Chiefs, and Andy Reid has full faith in him.
“He’s a veteran, he works hard, and he’s smart,” Reid said.
“Pat [Mahomes] has trust in him. We as coaches have trust in him and we’ve tried to put him in good positions for his strengths and try to utilize those.
“I think all of those things add up to production.”
With no Rice in the lineup, Juju broke out in a big way in the Chiefs’ last game on October 7.
He caught seven passes for 130 yards and helped the Chiefs take down the New Orleans Saints 26-13.
“He’s kept himself in great shape, he’s smart, and he knows how to play the game,” Reid continued.
Juju previously spent time with the Chiefs in 2022, winning a Super Bowl with the team that season.
It was one of the better seasons of his career too, going for 933 yards and three touchdowns.
He was one of the team’s top options that season, and Reid said him lining up on the other side of Travis Kelce made him important to the Chiefs.
“The guy lining up opposite Kelce ends up being very important,” Reid said.
“They know how to play the game and can kind of do similar things that Kelce can do.
“If you can get that, then you’ve got something going offensively that way.”

DANA WHITE has responded to Conor McGregor’s latest claim over his long-overdue UFC return.
The Notorious’ eagerly-anticipated cage comeback was due to take place in June against Michael Chandler before he suffered a broken left pinky toe.
McGregor, 36, revealed to SunSport in July his eagerness to return in December but the UFC brass has opted to have him make his comeback next year.

“Passkeys are easy to use and phishing resistant, only relying on a fingerprint, face scan or a pin making them 50% faster than passwords,” said Google’s Heather Adkins.
Passkeys work by letting you log in with just a fingerprint or face scan.
They’re designed to that they can’t be guessed, and they’re impossible to re-use.
Passwords can be leaked online – but a passkey can’t.
And people often re-use passwords because they’re easy to forget, or create simple ones that are more memorable.
Re-used passwords allow hackers to break into multiple of your accounts, and simple log-ins are easy to guess.
Passkeys have none of these problems, making them ultra-secure.
They’re already available on your Android phone, and they only take a few seconds to set up.
Google says that despite being out for just a year, passkeys have been used more than a billion times over 400 million accounts.
Google explains: “You can now use passkeys to sign in without using a password.
“To verify your identity and create a passkey, you need a biometric sensor, like fingerprint or facial recognition, PIN, or swipe pattern.”
“Your passkeys are saved and synced by your password manager, and you can use them to sign in on other devices.”
First, you’ll want to note that not all websites support passkeys yet.
However, more are adding support for them over time – and you’ll find that many major apps and services now offer them.
Go to the app you want to set up a passkey for, and then sign in.

“Passwords are both hard to remember and in most cases, easy to guess.
“I would venture to say that most users (especially older users) will reuse passwords, simply because of all of the websites and apps that require sign-ins.
“While password managers do help, they are at best, a stopgap measure and do not offer full-ranging security for your login information.
“Passkeys offer the advantage of eliminating the need to enter an email address and password to log in.
“This is especially handy when users are logging in on an iPhone or Android device.
“Passkeys have multiple advantages over passwords. Passkeys cannot be shared or guessed.
“Passkeys are unique to the website or app they are created for, so they cannot be used to login elsewhere like a reused password can.
“Plus, passkeys cannot be stolen in a data breach, as the passkeys are not stored on the company’s servers.
“But are instead are a private key stored only on your device, where biometric authentication (like face ID or Touch ID) is required to use the passkey.”
If you’re not prompted to create a passkey at that point, go into the app’s settings and choose Create A Passkey.
You’ll then be guided through the process, which will involve using your phone’s unlock.
Once that’s done, you can simply sign in at any point.
Your passkey on Android phones can be saved to the built-in Google Password Manager.
If you’re trying to sign into a website on another device – like a Windows PC – then you can still use passkeys.
You’ll simply be prompted to scan a QR code with your phone’s camera, and then verify your log-in using its unlock.
