Costco members praise employee for fixing once-loved perk and shoppers say ‘we need more like her’

A COSTCO employee has been praised online for her decisive action in fixing a once-loved perk.

An impressed customer took to the Reddit thread r/Costco to credit her after the employee improved the sample tray system in the store.

The post from two days ago read: “Very crowded store today, but this one sample lady was taking no guff from the vultures customers.

“Told one person they had to wait till the tray was pushed up front. Told another they touched it, so they have to take it.

“Told others to take from the front of the tray. Must have been a schoolteacher or lunch lady in a previous job. We need more like her to whip people into shape.”

The Reddit post was met with overwhelming support for this move and has nearly 3000 likes after just two days.

One frustrated commenter said: “It’s gotten to the point that I tend to skip samples anymore.

“I just don’t want to deal with the other people.”

Another wrote: “‘You touch it, you take it’ is the Costco version of ‘you break it, you buy it.'”

“Honestly, someone give her a whistle and a clipboard—she’s keeping the chaos in check.”

A third said: “Very true, I haven’t touched the samples in probably 3 years.

“Tbh I wish they would just create a section for it on the back of the store as it blocks the aisle for us just shopping.”

It is not known at which Costo this happened, nor the employee who heroically rescued the sample tray and made it make sense again.

COSTCO SAVINGS

Costco is offering plenty of deals for shoppers to take advantage of right now.

The wholesale retailer is currently offering a fan favorite drink at the cheapest rate available in the US.

In a viral video, Instagram user Costco So Obsessed detailed the drink’s deal.

The enthusiastic shopper referred to De La Calle Tepache as “Costco’s newest hidden gem.”

Described as a “modern Mexican soda,” the drink is available at Costco while supplies last.
