THE Los Angeles Dodgers are back in the World Series this year, and LA wants fans to walk to the game.

That’s right, one of the most un-walkable cities in the country thinks fans can walk to and from Los Angeles Dodgers games.

Metro, LA’s transit agency, posted a video on Facebook giving fans instructions on how they can walk to the stadium from the closest Metro station.

“Yes you can! (walk to Metro rail after Dodgers games),” the caption of the video reads.

The video shows satellite images of Dodger Stadium and the surrounding areas, and creates a blue line marking the route fans should take.

In the video, a voiceover explains that a fan can walk from a bleacher seat to the Chinatown A Line stop in just 25 minutes.

However, the route includes multiple crosswalks, changes of directions, and even a highway to get to the station.

To start, the route has fans making their way through the massive parking lots that surround Dodger Stadium before getting to any walkways.

That involves traversing a minefield of cars trying to escape the rush hour traffic that inflates when Dodgers games get out. This part of the route has no sidewalk for fans to walk on.

After navigating through the parking lot, fans make their way to a crosswalk with no traffic light before having to funnel into a narrow pedestrian bridge to get across a freeway.

Once that segment of the walk is complete, fans still have a long walk through LA to get into Chinatown and make it to the Metro station.

Much of the walk doesn’t have any lighting or protection from traffic, and none of it is wheelchair accessable.

The one thing the video boasts of the route is that “It’s all downhill!”

While Metro claims the walk takes only 25 minutes, with pedestrian traffic and the walk being over a mile in distance, it could probably take upwards of an hour to get to the Metro station.

Many fans were quick to point out how the walk isn’t the best option for them to get home, and shared in the comments of the video.

“Looks like a video game where you’re trying to stay alive,” one fan said.

“That is not practical,” another fan said.

“Haha I wouldn’t even drive that and feel safe,” a third fan said.

“Just because you CAN do something doesn’t mean you should,” a fourth fan said.

The walking route is a strange thing for Metro to promote because they already have pedestrian-friendly options for Dodgers fans.

A bus line called the Dodger Stadium Express is free for fans with tickets to that day’s game. The bus leaves from Union Station, the major transit hub in downtown LA.

However, Metro claims the line is too popular at this point and congestion has caused major delays.

In response, the Metro board approved a $500 million gondola to carry fans from Chinatown to Dodger Stadium.

That project likely won’t be completed until 2028.

Who is Diego Forlan’s wife Paz Cardoso?

While Diego Forlan is Uruguay’s most-capped player of all time, off the pitch, he is married to Paz Cardoso.

A fellow jock for her country, Paz has played on Uruguay‘s field hockey team.

With Diego now on the tennis court, Paz has continued to be a supportive presence.

During his training, she posted on Instagram: “Strong, solid and consistent on the court. Kind and super patient out of the same. 

“You are playing your best tennis, we are enjoying a great show.”

Diego has been in a relationship with Paz since 2012, a year before he established himself in the national football team.

The couple married on July 2, 2013.

Not much is known about Paz, but she was born May 31, 1990, in Uruguay.

She has kept a fairly low profile, but regularly appears to support Diego during his matches. 

When she isn’t cheering on her beau, she’s seen sporting various brands on her Instagram profile.

In terms of love, Diego had a turbulent relationship with his ex, Argentinian model Zaira Nara, before meeting Paz.

So when the pair announced their wedding in early 2013, expectations were high. 

The civil wedding was held in July, while the couple left the main event for the end of the year.

The religious ceremony took place on December 11, 2013, followed by the social party.

The wedding took place in San José de la Montaña, in Carrasco, where her family hails from.

Among the guests were La Brujita Verón, Diego Milito, Andrés D’Alessandro, and Loco Abreu, among other players.

In 2019, Diego announced his retirement from football after a 22-year career that spanned nine countries.

Writing about their tenth anniversary in December 2023, Paz said: “10 years later: 4 sweethearts, different homes, many countries, incredible experiences, endless learning and more love and admiration than that first day. 

“Thank you Diego Forlán for making me the happiest woman in the world 10 years ago. Here’s to many more.” 

The former football players responded on Instagram, saying: “Thank you Paz Cardoso for these 10 years and this family.”

He also shared postcards of the wedding, as well as parts of their family history.

The 45-year-old said: “It’s like any normal family, the same fights, shouting. Imagine, a boy (Martín), hits Luz, he cries, then Luz is the other way around. 

“Then it’s the same with César, the youngest is tremendous, he’s the worst of all, he’s the most rebellious of all, he’s the third, imagine now with the fourth.”

The kids play regular football and tennis too, so don’t be surprised if there’s a fourth generation of Forlan sporting excellence in a few years.

A NEW Netflix thriller based on real life serial killer Rodney Alcala who tortured his victims has left viewers shaken by his ‘horrific’ crimes.

Netflix fans are raving about Woman of The Hour starring Anna Kendrick, based on the true crime story of a serial killer who appeared on a dating show.

The film launched on October 18 and has shot to number one on Netflix as fans rushed to see how the shocking true crime drama unfolded.

Set in the 70s, the thriller follows Cheryl (played by Kendrick) an aspiring actress who appears on a dating show and is matched with a serial killer.

Fans have taken to social media to praise the film – which marks Kendrick’s directorial debut – saying that it shines a light on the victims.

“Giving victims a story, letting us know who these women were, was such a beautiful touch. One of my favorite dives into fictionalized true crime,” wrote one on X.

But fans are shaken by the killer’s horrific deeds.

Another tweeted: “ #WomanOfTheHour is based on a true life serial killer. I had no idea. Now, it is even creepier. I ended up looking the case up & frankly, the way he was allowed to rape & murder girls & women over & over again-2 while out on bail…wth?!!!…horrifying.”

A fellow viewer wrote: “Watch this #Womanofthehour Gripping, powerful film of a horrific man’s brutality, seemingly enabled by a lack of Police interest.”

The story is based on a real-life story about serial killer Rodney Alcala who appeared on the US dating series The Dating Game in 1978.

Cheryl Bradshaw was an out of work actress and not really looking for a date but her agent said it was a good way to get her face seen on TV.

Rodney was matched on the show with Cheryl during the middle of his killing spree, earning him the nickname The Dating Game killer.

The serial killer murdered his first victim in 1977 and killed five more people over the next two years, with his spree estimated to have taken place over 11 years from 1968 until 1979.

He was sentenced to death in California but spent his life in prison for five murders. There are suspicions that the true number he murdered could be in the hundreds.

Acala died in California in 2021 from natural causes at the age of 77.

TWO huge fitness influencers were involved in a nasty clash that was caught on video inside a gym.

Fitness gurus Jeff Nippard and Mike Van Wyck came face to face in a heated confrontation that has now gone viral on social media.

Nippard is well known for his science-based approach to bodybuilding with the Canadian social star boasting 5.8MILLION subscribers on YouTube.

While Van Wyck’s training content has helped him amass over 289,000 Instagram followers.

The pair seemed to come to blows in a Pure Muscle and Fitness gym in Canada, with a video appearing to show Van Wyck forcefully grabbing Nippard’s neck and pushing him to the floor.

It’s been suggested that the alteration stemmed from a video posted on Van Wyck’s social media titled “science based scammers”.

In the video Van Wyck slammed: “Science guys really need to answer this question before anything – why is it that you remain so mediocre, yet you know so much?”

Nipping later responded to that video with his own opinions on his Instagram page.

And he has since given his version of events in the gym in a separate post after uploading a picture of himself in a hospital by a CT scanner.

He wrote: “If you’ve seen the video by now, I want to clarify the incident. First, I just want to give an update that I got a CT scan done and I’m okay.

“In case you didn’t see it, this is exactly what happened and there were many witnesses. Mike Van Wyck jabbed me in the throat twice in the middle of the gym and then shoved my camera man.

“There is already a lie going around that Mike asked me to stay away from him, and that I didn’t listen, and approached him first. This is FALSE and @puremuscleandfitness has security footage to prove it. I think they should release it.”

Nipping went on to allege that the incident occurred after the pair exchanged words in the gym with Van Wyck also “pushing his videographer against a cable machine”.

He added: “I don’t know why he attacked me other than that he really, really hates my training style.

“I certainly gave him absolutely no reason to hate me. And even if I did, there’s no excuse to physically attack someone over a disagreement.

“My opinion is that it was the result of anger brought on by the clip I posted yesterday responding to his question about science-based training. Pretty wild stuff.”

Pure Muscle and Fitness gym have also released a statement of their own since the incident, seemingly claiming that Van Wyck has been banned from the premises.

It read: “At Pure Muscle + Fitness, we have a strict zero- tolerance policy for violence and bullying.

“We are deeply saddened by a recent incident involving unacceptable behavior by a member.

“This individual was not employed by or formally associated with our gym, and we have permanently removed their access to our facility, including any privileges to train clients.

“Our hearts go out to the member affected, and we stand in full support of their well-being.

“The safety of our community is our top priority, and we are committed to maintaining a safe and respectful environment for everyone.

“The matter is currently under police investigation, and we are cooperating fully with authorities.”

BANJO-KAZOOIE is an iconic 3D platforming series that first saw success on the Nintendo 64.

It comes from Rare, a British video game studio that created a number of popular games on Nintendo’s first 3D console.

While Rare was best known for making games on the N64, the studio was purchased by Xbox back in 2002.

It then started work on games for the Kinect, but continued making Banjo-Kazooie games for Nintendo’s handheld consoles.

All Banjo-Kazooie games had been platformers until 2008, when the team created racing game Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts for the Xbox 360.

There hasn’t been a Banjo-Kazooie game since Nuts & Bolts, and fans have always blamed Microsoft for killing off the series.

While Banjo-Kazooie hasn’t seen a new entry in 16 years, the hype surrounding the series is still very real.

Nintendo just announced that Banjo-Tooie is launching on Nintendo Switch Online, and fans were thrilled to see the game make a comeback.

This is why fans were furious to hear comments about the series from Xbox VP Aaron Greenberg.

At a recent event for Microsoft Flight Simulator, YouTuber Puerta al Sótano was asked by Greenberg about what Xbox games he’d like to see.

Puerta al Sótano claims that when he said Banjo-Kazooie, Greenberg responded: “Nobody cares about Banjo-Kazooie.”

Greenberg later clarified on social media that this claim was supposed to be sarcastic.

When answering a tweet asking if the comment was sarcasm, Greenberg said: “Correct, I absolutely know how much Banjo-Kazooie means to our fans and gamers everywhere. 

“It holds a special place in my heart, growing up playing these classic games.”

This hasn’t stopped fans being angry at Xbox for not giving us another Banjo-Kazooie game.

Whether Greenberg’s remarks were meant as a joke or not, the comment still feels insensitive given how fans feel about the series.

Rare fans were extremely disappointed by the studio’s purchase by Microsoft, especially as it developed so many of the best N64 games.

Perfect Dark, GoldenEye, and Donkey Kong Country are all Rare games, showing that the studio is capable of greatness.

Xbox has to be aware that many fans felt that the developers’ talents were wasted making Kinect games.

Since then Rare has gone on to work on Sea of Thieves which has offered some redemption to fans.

In the video, which shows her unboxing a Lunchly meal, she reveals that the mozzarella cheese inside appears to be covered in blue mold.

Lunchly was launched last month as a “healthier” alternative to traditional lunch kits such as Lunchables.

The pre-packed school lunches created by the influencer trio include a chocolate bar, a processed food option – either The Pizza, Turkey Stack ‘Ems, or Fiesta Nachos – and a bottle of Prime Hydration, the drink marketed by the YouTubers.

But it has faced criticism over allegations about its quality and safety since the start.

Following Pansino’s original video, she was accused by MrBeast fans of faking the mold.

In a response video on Monday evening, she shared what she says was the unedited footage.

“Well, here you go,” she wrote on X as she posted the clip.

Referring to MrBeast fans’ doubts, she added, “I’m sure they will still not believe this is real, but maybe the dozens of other videos online showing moldy mozzarella cheese in Luchly’s will convince them.

“Again, please be careful eating these if you have them.”

Emergency crews removed a huge 1,100lbs rock to free the woman[/caption]

The terrified young woman – named locally as Matilda Campbell – was caught headfirst in a tight ‘S’ position for seven hours until she was saved.

One of the giant boulders weighed a huge 1,100lbs and had to be winched out by a rescue team.

Miraculously she survived with just minor cuts and bruises – but her phone could not be saved.

In a message online, she said: “Thank you to the team who saved me you guys are literally life savers.

“Too bad about the phone tho.”

Horrified friends attempted to rescue her from the perilous ordeal in the Hunter Valley in New South Wales, Australia.

With limited phone reception, the friends tried for an hour to save the imprisoned climber before finally reaching out for help.

The helpless adventurer was wedged down a three-metre crevice into the rocky abyss.

Rescue team members watched on as the intricate and challenging mission was carried out.

They built a wood frame to protect the woman from falling debris while building a half-tonne winch to lift away a boulder blocking her in the gap.

NSW Ambulance Specialist Rescue Paramedic Peter Watts said: “In my 10 years as a rescue paramedic I had never encountered a job quite like this, it was challenging but incredibly rewarding.

“Every agency had a role, and we all worked incredibly well together to achieve a good outcome for the patient.”

SLAIN terror boss Yahya Sinwar is feared to have left a chilling message ordering Hamas fighters to continue the doomed war should he die.

Experts fear that Sinwar – who was swiftly killed by the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) inside Gaza last week – may have demanded the execution of the remaining hostages after his death.

The Hamas boss in Gaza was the chief orchestrator of the tragic October 7 attacks that killed some 1.200 innocent civilians – while 250 people were taken hostage in Gaza.

He was at the very top of the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) kill list for over a year.

And fearing his own death, experts claim that Snwar – who has long rejected ceasefire deals – may have instructed remaining Hamas men to carry on the war.

It is also feared that he may have advised Hamas political leaders outside Gaza to avoid any concessions during peace talks, Arab sources familiar with the situation told The Wall Street Journal.

Following Sinwar’s death last week, the terror outfit rejected Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu’s offer to surrender and let go of all the hostages – a possible sign of Sinwar’s terror message being followed.

Sources have also revealed that Sinwar’s final message was to appoint a new leadership for Hamas in the event of his death.

Hussein Ibish, a senior resident scholar at the Arab Gulf States Institute in Washington, DC, told CNN that Hamas could now aim to wage guerilla warfare against IDF troops – and is now unlikely to agree to a hostage deal.

Experts also fear that Sinwar may have demanded the execution of all the remaining hostages inside Gaza in the event of his death.

Gershon Baskin, a top negotiator who oversaw Sinwar’s release from an Israeli prison in 2011, dubbed his death a “moment of doom”.

He told The Telegraph: “[Sinwar’s death] is a moment of doom because rumours are that he instructed [Hamas terrorists] to kill the remaining hostages in the event of his death.”

The expert said that the rumours are being taken seriously given the bloody history of Sinwar and his hatred for the Israeli people.

The return of the innocent hostages now depends solely on Israel’s ability to either crack a hostage deal or save them from Gaza in heroic rescue missions.

But the latter seems to be unlikely given Israel has still not been able to wipe out all Hamas terrorists inside the narrow strip.

Though Israeli officials have hinted towards a potential hostage deal with what remains of Hamas’ last governing officials in exchange for Sinwar’s mortal remains, sources previously told CNN.

An Israeli diplomatic source said: “If Hamas wants to swap his remains for Israelis, dead or alive, then fine … Otherwise, handing him over is not going to happen.”

A second source said that Hamas supporters would be desperate to get Sinwar’s body back, who would then turn his grave into a shrine to inspire future terrorists.

Israeli Prime Minister said this week he would allow Hamas terrorists to “get out” of Gaza and “live” if they returned all the remaining hostages.

But things could get worse as Hamas will inevitably choose its next successor who may follow Sinwar’s footsteps to continue the bloody conflict and push the Middle East into an all-out war.

A NEW DAWN FOR HAMAS?

Muhammad Sinwar, the slain terror chief’s brother, is being seen as the next possible successor to take over the terror outfit.

He became the de facto second-in-command of Hamas’ leadership in Gaza following the deaths of top Hamas military commanders, such as Mohammed Deif and Marwan Issa.

Mohammed became a trusted confidant of Yahya, being one of the few people who knew where the Hamas boss was hiding during the war.

Israeli officials warned that Muhammad is as much of a hardliner as his brother, and could pose as a major obstacle in a potential hostage deal – especially after Israel killed his brother.

Grisha Yakubovich, a former senior Israeli military official and expert on Palestinian affairs, explained how Mohammed Sinwar’s rise to power poses a significant danger.

He told The Sun: “Mohammed Sinwar is just as radical, if not more, than Yahya Sinwar.

“If he takes over the leadership of Hamas, the situation could become significantly worse.”

Mohammed, though operating largely behind the scenes, is said to have earned a reputation for being ruthless and uncompromising.

According to Yakubovich, his leadership style could push the group into even more violent confrontations with Israel.

“He’s in the top of the military wing,” Yakubovich pointed out, referring to Mohammed’s key role in Hamas’ military operations.

“He’s one of the strongest players. If Yahya is killed, Mohammed could rise quickly.”

Unlike Yahya, who has made headlines for his terror activities over the years, 49-year-old Mohammed operates more in the shadows, but his influence is undeniable, the expert said.

DIED LIKE A DOG

Sinwar was taken out by a trainee squad of Israeli commandos after being left as the cowering final survivor of a gunfight.

Sinwar had his last humiliating moments sitting slumped over in an armchair in a bombed-out building in the Strip as he feebly tried to fight off an Israeli drone with a stick.

An autopsy revealed that Sinwar was likely wiped out by a long-range gunshot to the head – executed with sniper-like precision.

His corpse was also riddled with shrapnel fragments after the house he was in was blasted by a tank.

He was discovered by the troops armed with a flak jacket, 40,000 shekels ($10,731.63), and a firearm.

“He tried to escape and our forces eliminated him,” Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari said during a televised briefing.

Graphic images shared online on Thursday appeared to show his dead body in the ruins of the struck building in Rafah, with a horrific head wound.

The army later released footage of Sinwar’s final moments, hunched over and wounded inside a bombed building in Gaza.

Meanwhile, Israel shared declassified footage that showed Sinwar fleeing into secret Gaza tunnels on the night before the October 7 attacks.

In the three-minute-long video, Sinwar is ferrying large packs of water bottles, comfy pillows, and other supplies inside a narrow concrete tunnel.

Accompanied by his children and wife, he can be seen moving back and forth while carrying essential supplies to prepare for a comfortable stay in the underground lair.

Sinwar lived a life of relative luxury even while hiding as Gaza continued to burn because of a war he started.

The narrow strip is now almost completely destroyed after Israel vowed to eradicate Hamas and bring its people back.

But in that effort. more than 42,000 people have been killed – almost 10,000 of them being children, according to Gaza-run health centres.

IDF claims at least 11,000 of them were Hamas men.

Meanwhile, Israel launched its ground operation in Lebanon earlier this month to weaken Hezbollah and push the terror group away from the border to allow displaced Israelis to return.
