Who is Victoria Monét’s ex-boyfriend, John Gaines?

SUPERSTAR singer-songwriter Victoria Monét became a household name following the revelation she was behind some of Ariana Grande‘s biggest hits.

Here we take a look at her relationship with ex John Gaines — the singer was spotted kissing UK rapper Stormzy just weeks after the news of their break-up came to light.

Who is Victoria Monét’s boyfriend, John Gaines?

Outside of being Victoria Monét‘s ex-boyfriend, John Gaines is known for his career as a fitness model and trainer.

He runs the fitness company Gains By Gaines Fitness, which offers personalized programs that help clients “burn fat, build muscle and feel the best you’ve ever felt!”

A subscription for Gaines’ program starts at $39.99 per month and includes a personalized workout program and meal plan as well as a shopping list and fitness videos, among other things.

Gaines discovered his passion for fitness at an early age due to his career as a multi-sport athlete and after the competition stopped, he focused on the next chapter of his life as a trainer.

“When competitive sports were no longer a part of my life, I was lost,” he said on his website.

“I had been preparing for ‘the next season’ almost 20 years of my life and had no idea what to do when it was over. I used fitness to get me through that transition period which definitely wasn’t easy.

“I didn’t really know what the future held, but I always knew I had the choice to put some work in each day. This is where Gains Mentality was born.

“The idea that so many things in life are out of our control, but we get to choose to do something to get better each day.

“People workout for different reasons. It could be to attract someone, to feel good, to be strong, to cope with something, and more,” he added.

“Whatever the reason is, use that as your motivation to keep going.

“I’m not here to judge you, I’m here to guide you and use my experience and research to get you where you want to be.”

Gaines often posts about his fitness career on Instagram to over 256,000 followers, as of October 12, 2024.

While they both have high-profile careers, both Gaines and Monét often keep details of their personal life out of the spotlight.

Not much is known about the relationship the former couple shared, but they reportedly met on the set of Monét’s music video for her 2020 song, Moment, which was featured on her EP, Jaguar.

There was no infidelity, toxic behavior or drama

Do Victoria and John have kids?

In Ferbrary 2021, they welcomed their first child, a baby girl named Hazel Monét Gaines.

“Mommy and Daddy love you so much!” Monét wrote on Instagram after Hazel’s birth.

Hazel has already made history as the youngest Grammy nominee ever at just two years old — thanks to her laughter featured on her mum’s track Hollywood (2023).

She also often makes appearances on her parent’s social media pages.

What did Victoria and John say about the break up?

On September 23, 2024, Monét and Gaines released an in-depth joint statement via their social media accounts — specifically on X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram Stories.

In their statement, they confirmed their breakup, saying: “We spent the last 10 months trying to respectfully and privately navigate the fact that we are no longer in a relationship.

“Though we still completely adore and respect each other, we are not a couple anymore”.

They addressed rumors about their split, stating: “There was no infidelity, toxic behavior or drama.

“We both just have some fundamental growing to do that would be best done apart so we can remain the best versions of ourselves for our daughter”.

The former couple emphasised their commitment to co-parenting, expressing: “We still think the world of each other and operate with love in every interaction for our family.

“We have an incredible daughter to raise for life, and that is undoubtedly our number 1 priority forever”.

They also requested privacy and understanding from their followers, adding: “We plan to remain a family regardless of our public facing title, so please when you see us together with Hazel, be understanding and gentle”.

Inside posh street where Man Utd & Liverpool aces are neighbours – but furious locals say mega mansions RUIN the area

A POSH street has been dubbed ‘footballers’ row’ because it’s become home to so many rival Premier League stars – but locals say their mansions ruin the area.

The average price of a property on Fletsand Road, Wilmslow, in Cheshire, is £4 million and estate agents describe it as one of the town’s “most sought-after” and “desirable” roads.

Celebs, including footballers and their Wags, are often spotted shopping[/caption]

The gated mansions offer peace and privacy and current residents include Liverpool’s Andy Robertson and his teammate Alexis Mac Allister, who recently bought a home.

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson once lived there as well as ex-United keeper Sergio Romero.

And Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers is also thought to own a property on the road.

Wilmslow forms part of Cheshire’s ‘Golden Triangle’, an affluent area of small towns and villages that also includes Alderley Edge and Prestbury.

Set in glorious countryside, the area, according to one estate agent, “is a delightful blend of sophistication and rural tranquility” and boasts high-end shops and upmarket bars and restaurants.

Visitors to Wilmslow might spot Marcus Rashford jewellery shopping, his Manchester United  teammate Bruno Fernandes leaving a tanning salon or Manchester City star Kyle Walker’s wife Annie Kilner hitting the gym.

But some residents admit it can feel like “living in a bubble” with so many stars hanging around.

One woman, who lives near Fletsand Road, said: “I know it’s a popular road with footballers.

“Some people call it ‘footballers’ row’ or ‘millionaires row’.

“I don’t mind footballers living so close but I don’t like it when they buy somewhere just so they can knock it down and build a bigger home.

“I think it spoils the character of the area.

“My son used to attend the same nursery as Kai Rooney [Wayne Rooney’s son].

“Some of the other Manchester United player’s children went there too.

“I’d see Patrice Evra and Michael Carrick’s children as well as Peter Crouch and Abbey Clancy’s.

“It was the most surreal experience going along to kids’ birthday parties and seeing them there too.

The woman, who didn’t wish to be named, said she had even attended soft-play events when some Wags had gone “dressed up in a blouse and high-heels”.

She added: “I’ve been living here 15 years now and I do like it.

“But I am conscious I am living in a bit of bubble.

“I’ve seen lots of women with big hair and fingernails outside restaurants in Wilmslow during the day and thought, ‘Why aren’t these people working?

“It’s not your typical town.”

Our streets are full of supercars worth £1.2MILLION driven by Premier League stars & celebs

BY IAN LEONARD

RESIDENTS in a posh village say their high street is crammed with so many expensive supercars it looks like a car showroom.

Alderley Edge is part of Cheshire’s ‘Golden Triangle’ – an affluent area of small towns and villages which also includes Wilmslow and Prestbury.

Luxury vehicles like the Ferrari F40 – with around £1.2million – are a common sight in Alderley.

Set in glorious countryside, the area is known for its expensive homes, high-end shops and upmarket bars and restaurants.

It is popular with wealthy Premier League footballers and celebrities, and has earned a reputation as a millionaire’s playground and a place to see and be seen.

London Road, running through the centre of Alderley Edge, is frequently lined with millions of pounds worth of Lamborghinis, Ferraris and Bugattis as well as luxury 4X4s and other cars.

According to property website Rightmove, properties on Fletsand Road had an overall average price of £3,900,0000 over the past year – up 144% on the previous year and 30% up on the 2006 peak of £3,000.000.

Tony Goldsmith, 61, who lives nearby for 33 nears, accepts that the town has become an expensive place to live, partly because footballers have driven up property prices.

“But they have to live somewhere,” he said.

“So it’s not really an issue for me.

“I think Wilmslow has always been an expensive place.”

Tony recalled the time ex-Manchester United player Park Ji-sung had just signed for the club and had been invited to meet Sir Alex Ferguson at his home.

“He knocked on my door with this letter in his hand,” he said.

“It was an invitation to meet Fergie at his house but he didn’t know how to get there.

“So I ended up taking him there myself.

“Sir Alex doesn’t live on Fletsand Road now but I used to see him quite often.”

Aside from its luxury homes, Wilmslow has other attractions.

The Symposium nightclub has become a celebrity haunt and is where Wayne Rooney partied in September 2017 before he was arrested for drink-driving while taking a woman he’d “kissed and cuddled” home in her car.

Swish restaurant Cibo is another place to spot celebrities and there are many other fine-dining spots as well as designer boutiques, jewellers and high-end furniture and interior stores.

Little wonder then, so many footballers now call it home.

Watch moment UK rapper Yung Filly dodges TV reporter as he visits Australian police station on bail after rape charge

ONLINE personality and UK rapper Yung Filly has been spotted for the first time since he was charged with rape.

The 29-year-old – who is currently on bail over a number of serious abuse allegations – was sheepishly seen going into an Australian police station this morning as he dodged questions from reporters.

Filly, whose real name is Andres Felipe Valencia Barrientos, was charged with four counts of sexual penetration without consent earlier this week.

He is also accused of three counts of assault and one count of impeding a person’s normal breathing or circulation by applying pressure to their neck.

After a court hearing Filly was granted bail after stumping up $100,000AUD (£51,000).

He is banned from leaving the state and must also report to Perth Police Station regularly.

Footage shows the YouTube, music and TV star on his first visit to the station at around 10am today.

Filly climbed out of a black Mercedes van flanked by a second man as he quickly jogged into the station with his hood up.

He was wearing a cream hoodie and a green cap with black shorts.

Reporters at the scene tried to grab a word from the Colombian-born content creator but he refused to make any comment.

After just five minutes inside the station he was seen leaving with his hood this time down.

He hopped down the steps with his hands fixed in his pockets as reporters again asked if he had a message to his fans.

A glum looking Filly looked straight ahead at the van before down at the ground as he continued to remain silent.

Three other people were sat inside the van along with the rapper as it drove away from the station.

Since the allegations first came to light several brands and companies have dropped Filly and axed them from various adverts, shows and upcoming gigs.

The Football Association (FA) pulled a new online cookery show featuring the YouTuber on Thursday.

Filly had filmed a show with the FA and M&S due to be released in the coming weeks but since the allegations came to light they have decided to axe the episodes, Sky News revealed.

The series of videos due to be part of “The Greater Game” campaign was launched on Wednesday by the FA alongside M&S who sponsor the national side.

England aces Bukayo SakaEzri Konsa, and Jarrod Bowen were all set to feature in the video alongside Filly as part of a “Freestyle Cooking” series on the FA YouTube channel.

Clothing brand ASOS have also pulled adverts and lines revolved around Filly as Heinz deleted various TikTok videos featuring the popular online celebrity.

Another project involving the 29-year-old and his close pal and fellow YouTuber Chunkz has now also been cancelled for good.

The pair were due to put on a live show of The Chunkz and Filly Show – a popular podcast and talk show the duo host.

On YouTube, The Chunkz and Filly Show channel has over 667,000 subscribers with hundreds of fans expected to attend the shows later this month.

The first live performance was due to take place on October 18, in east London.

But venue Troxy has now confirmed the show has been cancelled for good.

Upload Productions – who produce the Chunkz and Filly Show online – also released a statement saying they are “pausing” any work with Filly.

They said: “We are aware of the serious allegations that have been made against Yung Filly and the legal proceedings that are now under way in Western Australia.

“In the commercial areas of business where we have responsibility, we have paused working with our client.”

Chunkz – whose real name is Amin Mohamed – is yet to comment on the charges against Filly.

Yung Filly is known for his comedic talents on YouTube where he shot to fame alongside fellow creators Beta Squad while also appearing in Sidemen videos.

He then branched out to his own individual projects including podcasts, music and mainstream TV gigs.

He featured on Channel 4’s The Great Celebrity Bake Off in 2022 and has previously fronted the BBC’s Hot Property.

One of Filly’s most successful projects saw him become one of the faces of the FootAsylum YouTube channel.

He regularly went viral online for his comedic takes in shows such as Does the Shoe Fit?, Home Schooled and Truth Asylum.

But the shoe and clothing brand has since cut ties with the online personality in wake of the allegations.

They announced they are “suspending our contract with Yung Filly with immediate effect”.

A music event in Essex on October 25 has also been called off as well as a “freshers’ takeover” music night at Trilogy Nightclub in Colchester due to Filly being booked to perform at them.

A second hearing around the allegations is due to take place in December.

Who is Yung Filly?

YUNG Filly’s rise to fame saw him start out as a social media star.

The influencer got his big break on YouTube before moving into mainstream TV.

Although he goes by Yung Filly, his real name is Andres Felipé Barrientos.

He was born on August 6, 1995, and moved to the UK from Colombia when he was two years old.

Filly then relocated to southeast London during his childhood.

When asked what it was like growing up in the capital, he told Indy100: “I come from the bottom of the barrel…and that’s why I’m so grateful for the position I’m in now.

“My mum definitely shaped me with the lessons she taught me.

“She’s a single mum with three kids, my dad was a s*** dad so she just had to make it happen.

“She did loads of cleaning jobs. My mum worked at Poundland at the time I had some mad BBC series…just getting my mum out of the position she was in was just the biggest motivation.”

Filly is best known for being a member of the comedy group known as The Wall of Comedy.

He is affiliated with fellow YouTuber Chunkz and the pair have collaborated on many videos and tracks.

Over the years, Filly has also taken part in The Sidemen‘s Charity Football Match, organised by members Josh Bradley, Simon Minter, Tobi Brown, KSI, Ethan Payne, Vikram Barn and Harry Lewis.

Inside Everest’s chilling ‘Rainbow Valley’ home to 200 bodies of doomed climbers who suffered same fate as Andrew Irvine

SITTING at an altitude of 26,000ft is a multi-coloured valley littered with the frozen remains of the victims of Mount Everest.

Dubbed the “Rainbow Valley”, the area under the northern ridge of the world’s tallest peak is lined with the colourful jackets of trekkers who have died attempting to summit the mountain.

Recently, the foot of British mountaineer Andrew Irvine was found 100 years after he disaappeared[/caption]
YouTube
The frozen climbers are left to the mountainside[/caption]

Other than the chilling bodies, there is a colourful array of tents, cans, and oxygen tanks dumped in the area.

The rainbow-coloured graveyard – also known as the “death zone” – is a grim reminder to eager mountain climbers striving to reach the peak.

While some climbers achieve the remarkable feat, others give up and return.

And sadly others perish on the mountainside, many of them never to be seen again.

More than 5,000 have scaled it since it was first climbed by New Zealander Edmund Hillary and Sherpa Tenzing Norgay in 1953.

Recently, the foot thought to belong to a British mountaineer who vanished on Mount Everest 100 years ago has been found by documentary makers.

Andrew Comyn “Sandy” Irvine was last seen with George Mallory 800ft from the peak.

Mallory’s body was found in 1999.

The foot, in a boot and a sock embroidered “AC Irvine” was discovered lower down in melting ice on a glacier below the North Face.

National Geographic Explorer Jimmy Chin, who was a member of the climb team, said: “Sometimes in life, the greatest discoveries occur when you aren’t even looking.

“This was a monumental and emotional moment for us and our entire team on the ground, and we just hope this can finally bring peace of mind to his relatives and the climbing world at large.”

While the brave mountaineer wasn’t found in the stretch dubbed Rainbow Valley, hundreds of other bodies lie there – some still undiscovered beneath the snows.

The freezing conditions have meant that themany bodies of the would-be explorers are forever entombed and preserved on the mountainside.

The cost of recovering the body is more than £53,500 and can often lead to further deaths.

According to some estimates, more than 327 people have died on the mountain between 1922 and 1923.

The brutal conditions make the trek near impossible, as thin oxygen levels, harsh weather and strong gusts of wind compound the cramped and narrow trail.

The high altitude is also a problem for even the most experienced climbers, with many taking extra oxygen tanks to combat altitude sickness.

Besides altitude illnesses, other factors, such as extreme cold, avalanches, falling, and exhaustion, also result in deaths in Rainbow Valley.

Everest once claimed nine lives in 11 days, including Brit climber Robin Haynes Fisher.

Fisher was just 150m from the summit when he became ill in the mountain’s notorious “death zone”, known for its low levels of oxygen.

And three climbers died after waiting 12 hours to visit the summit due to overcrowding.

All of them died of exhaustion on the way back down the mountain, bringing the death toll up to seven in just one week.

‘Green Boots’

Arguably the most famous of the bodies on Everest was dubbed “Green Boots” by other climbers, after his distinctive footwear.

Surrounded by oxygen bottles, the huddled man’s frozen body lay for years where he died trying to shelter, in a rock crevice now known as “Green Boots’ Cave”.

Climbers actually had to step over the unfortunate adventurer’s legs on their way to and from the peak – and often stopped to rest and have a snack in the cave, alongside the body.

The corpse is widely believed to belong to Tsewang Paljor, from India, who died during a blizzard in 1996.

The body was recently moved, although the circumstances around what happened to it remain unclear, with some reports claiming the body was finally buried on the mountain by other climbers.

Who is Andrew Irvine?

By Vera Demertzis, Foreign News Reporter

THE REMAINS of British mountaineer Andrew ‘Sandy’ Irvine were recently found on Mt Everest, 100 years after he attempted to climb Mt Everest alongside Geroge Mallory.

Born in Birkenhead, Cheshire, Andrew was one of six children of historian Willam Fergusson Irvine and Lilian Davies-Colley.

At the age of 22, he and George Mallory attempted to climb Mount Everest.

During the expedition, he made major and crucial innovations to the expedition’s professionally designed oxygen sets, radically improving their functionality, lightness, and strength.

Mallory and Irvine began their ascent on 6 June, and by the end of the next day, the pair had established a final two-man camp at 26,800ft.

It is not known what happened, however the duo perished and laid undiscovered for several decades.

Mallory’s body was discovered in 1999. The remains of Irvine were recently discovered in 2024 by a documentary crew.

Irvine’s great-niece Julie Summers, said she’d been “moved to tears” on being told of the discovery.

“I have lived with this story since I was a seven-year-old when my father told us about the mystery of Uncle Sandy on Everest,” she said.

“The story became more real when climbers found the body of George Mallory in 1999, and I wondered if Sandy’s body would be discovered next.

“A quarter-of-a-century after that discovery, it seemed extremely unlikely that anything new would be found.

“When Jimmy told me that he saw the name AC Irvine on the label on the sock inside the boot, I found myself moved to tears. It was and will remain an extraordinary and poignant moment.”

Relatives have agreed to DNA tests.

‘Sleeping Beauty’

The body known as “Sleeping Beauty” is that of American Francys Arsentiev, who died with her husband Sergei as they tried to scale the mountain together.

Francys made it to the top in 1998, becoming the first American woman to do so without oxygen, but ran into trouble on the way down.

The couple became stranded and separated overnight, and Sergei suffered a fatal fall trying to rescue his wife, who had collapsed.

Climbers Ian Woodall and Cathy O’Dowd came across her and gave up their summit bid to stay with her before they were forced to descend for their own safety.

Woodall eventually returned in 2007 to find the body, wrap it in an American flag and lower it from the mountain’s edge out of view – likely to the same resting place as her husband.

David Sharp

David Sharp, 34, From Teesside, was one of those to stop and rest in Green Boots’ Cave – but tragically died there.

He was found huddled in the cave on the brink of death in 2006, with reports claiming more than 40 others passed him on their way to the summit without helping.

The Brit climber had been attempting to climb the mountain alone – with no guide, no radio and just two bottles of oxygen, rather than the standard five, according to reports.

He is believed to have achieved his goal but ran into trouble on the way down.

His body was eventually removed from the trail at the request of his parents.

George Mallory

The body of Brit climber George Mallory was only discovered in 1999 – 75 years after he disappeared on the mountain.

Mallory was part of an ill-fated 1924 expedition to become the first team to reach the summit.

The intrepid explorer once declared Everest to be a symbol of “man’s desire to conquer the Universe” – telling reporters he wanted to climb it “because it’s there”.

But he and climbing partner Andrew “Sandy” Irvine disappeared, with an ice axe found in the snow the only trace of them for the best part of a century.

Mallory’s body was found preserved in the snow by the American mountaineer Conrad Anker in 1999.

Irvine’s body was never found.

It remains a mystery whether they made it to the summit, which would have made them the first people to successfully climb the mountain – some 30 years before Norgay and Hillary.

Despite the risks, brave trekkers continue to put one foot in front of the other knowing their last step could be potentially fatal.

Darts champ Luke Humphries claims he could create ‘world peace’ after making two bitter rivals agree on something

Wade admitted in an interview on Wednesday that he doesn’t get on with the Scot but backed him on believing that ‘Cool Hand’ shouldn’t be in Luke Littler’s shadow.

Humphries, 29, said: “If I’ve got Gary Anderson and James Wade agreeing with each other, it felt like I could create world peace!

“Their opinions are obviously amazing. They fill me with great confidence. Two absolute legends of the game.

“Everyone knows I’m really good friends with James and I get on well with Gary.

“I’m not influenced with what they’ve said. I guess they want a lot more from me.

“I watched James’ interview yesterday, I haven’t seen Gary’s. He said I could be second (best World Champion ever).

“No Phil (Taylor) and Michael (van Gerwen) will always be above me.

“He has a point, it has been a great journey for me. I’m just happy to win titles.

“I don’t look into too much of what the media say. Sometimes the media can be cruel. The papers and click bait headlines they put about you.

“If they put me in the news outlets a lot more, they could depress me more. I don’t really care that much to be honest.

“It’s just nice that two great professionals I look up to have given me credit, that makes me feel good inside.

“If you’d have said 10 years ago that James Wade and Gary Anderson would say these things about me, I would have laughed at you.”

Humphries also joked that his dad won’t be happy until he’s won FIVE world titles and 20 majors!

He added: “A lot of my life was very different three years ago. But now I’m in a good place.

“My whole life changed. I’ve got the best fiancee in the world, the best kids in the world, in my eyes anyway. I just enjoy life a lot more.

“I come here with no pressure. There is pressure on my shoulders but I just feel like I come here with no pressure from my family side.

“Sometimes my dad is always striving for more. He always wants me to win!

“That kind of drives me a bit. Usually if you’ve won a few times it would be like whatever happens, happens.

“He’s always there saying ‘come on I want more’. He drives me and makes me a better player.

“He’s still not happy until I’ve won at least five Worlds and two majors!”
