Married At First Sight’s most explosive dinner parties from shock affair reveal to bride getting axed

MARRIED At First Sight UK is no stranger to drama but nothing brings the chaos quite like the shows’ infamous dinner parties.

The parties have become a hallmark of the series including explosive rows, tearful revelations and personality clashes.

Over the years, we’ve witnessed a number of dinner party showdowns that have left fans speechless and set the stage for some of reality TV’s most unforgettable moments.

From surprise betrayals and dramatic exits here are some of the most jaw-dropping dinner party moments in MAFS UK history:

Polly and Charlie Bully Row – (Season 8)

This season has already brought its fair share of drama and the series second dinner party was no exception when Polly Sellman called her fellow co-star a “bully”.

Bride Charlie was taken a back at the comment and reduced to tears when a confrontational Polly criticised her behaviour towards wife Eve.

Previously Eve had admitted to telling Polly she felt she had been bullied and insisted she’d told Polly not to say anything at the dinner party.

The problematic couple later left the room to have a heart to heart with Eve doing her best to console her wife.

Later on at the dinner party Polly and Charlie had another sit down chat, and the former apologised for her earlier accusations and not taking Charlie’s feelings into account.

While Charlie accepted the apology, she admitted she didn’t feel comfortable talking to Polly about her relationship.

The Whitney and Matt Affair Scandal – (Season 7)

Whitney and Matt decided to have a secret affair on the show[/caption]

One of the shows most scandalous moments happened in season 7 when Whitney Hughes and Matt Murray sparked a romance outside of their marriage.

Whitney was paired with Duka Cav and Matt with Gemma Rose Barnes and with both relationships going south when the pair decided to seek out an affair .

Tensions flared at a dinner party when the affair was ultimately revealed to the rest of the group, including Duka and Gemma who were blindsided by the shocking revelation.

The dinner party turned chaotic as accusations and emotions flew leaving bride Gemma absolutely devastated by Matt’s betrayal and Whitney showing little remorse.

Scenes after the dinner party showed Matt and Whitney sharing a kiss on a bridge and then sharing a bed.

This dinner party cemented Whitney and Matt’s affair as one of the most dramatic moments in MAFS UK history.

Nikita’s Explosive Exit – (Season 6)

Producers had to step in during a heated row at a dinner party[/caption]

No list of explosive MAFS UK dinner parties would be complete without mentioning Nikita Jasmine’s removal from the show back in 2021.

Geordie Nikita had been at the center of multiple arguments throughout the show clashing not only with husband Ant but other cast members as well.

Things came to a head at a dinner party when a verbal altercation escalated into a screaming match and a verbal assault targeted at her fellow co-stars.

Producers had to intervene and shortly after the incident Nikita was removed from the experiment altogether for her aggressive behaviour.

At the time she told The Sun that she was “truly sorry” and admitted that she reacts badly to overwhelming situations.

“I am truly gutted to have left the show. I loved every minute of the experience but it was a roller coaster of emotions, and sometimes they got the better of me.

“But that’s me as a person and I am truly sorry for any upset I caused during my time in the experiment. However, I will always stand up for what I believe in.

“I can be loud and lairy, I’ll admit that, but I have try to be a good person and have others backs.

“This can confuse people occasionally. But I do think I am misunderstood.”

Thomas and April Clash – (Season 7)

Season 7 was packed with fireworks, especially when Thomas Hartley and April Banbury went head-to-head at a dinner party.

Thomas, known for his outspoken and fiery personality had already had some clashes with other participants but things escalated when he confronted April over rumours and BTS drama.

The argument quickly spiralled when Thomas accused April of being fake and manipulative.

April did try and defend herself at the dinner table as tension’s continued to flare.

The rest of the group became caught in the crossfire as Thomas unleashed a tirade of accusations at them.

His explosive behaviour shocked fans and became one of the most intense and shocking confrontations in the show’s history.

Morag Vs Josh and Amy – ( Season 6 )

Season 6 Groom Josh lost his temper in an explosive fight with Morag after she revealed that he’d slid into her DMs before the show.

The pair came to blows at the explosive dinner party when Josh claimed he didn’t even remember ever messaging Morag.

Things then quickly escalated when he went as far as to accuse her of lying to cause simply trouble.

Wife Amy attempted to defend her husband after Morag suggested he was a “player”, she was quickly shot down by her husband.

“Shut your mouth and let me f***ing speak,” shouted Josh.

The horrified experts gasped watching back the footage, with expert Mel Schilling saying: “No, no he didn’t. He’s now like a cornered animal, flooded with hormones.”

Amy quickly hit back: “I’m on your f***ing side” as she was defended by the rest of the group.

Josh quickly apologised for his language, telling Amy: “Sorry I didn’t mean to tell you to shut up.”

If you don’t do 7 simple steps this month – animals and your garden will suffer, says wildlife expert

AS the golden hues of October (and a fair bit of rain) grace our gardens – it’s a good month to invite vital wildlife in.

With caterpillar, insect, slug and snail populations dropping off drastically, there’s a lot less food to go round.

Don’t feel the need to pick up every leaf – they provide vital shelter for bugs[/caption]

And coupled with colder temperatures, the need for shelter, nourishment and water for the remaining bugs, birds, beetles and mammals increases.

Remember we need the wildlife to pollinate, pest control, provide waste management and recycle nutrients in our outside spaces.

HEDGEHOGS

Hedgehogs control garden pests like caterpillars. Let them in by creating hedgehog highways linking gardens, you can even buy little hedgehog homes and just be careful they’re not hiding in piles of leaves you’re about to burn/grab. Provide water, cat or dog food or cat biscuits to supplement their natural diet. For advice on how to help hedgehogs, visit www.hedgehogstreet.org

BEES

They’re still about – so make sure you plant some autumn nectar for them. Asters and Verbena Bonariensis are two that also add a splash of colour to your outside space. And despite the temptation, don’t cut back all your ivy – they absolutely love it.

BIRDS

Native species, such as robins, goldfinches and blue tits will be on the hunt for food as days get shorter and colder.

Get some feeders up -filled with high-energy foods such as sunflower seeds, fat balls, and suet cakes. and keep water baths topped up.

It’s also a good time to clean or put up new nest boxes for shelter.  Leave seed heads on plants like sunflowers and teasels to provide food.

Kirk Rothwell, from Peckish, said: “Autumn brings with it shorter daylight hours and dropping temperatures, which means wild birds
need to work extra hard to find a meal. We want to remind the public that now is the time to really take a little more time to care for our feathered friends.

“Wild birds’ natural food sources deplete in very cold conditions, and some small birds can lose up to 40 per cent of their fat stores in just one cold night. Provide them with high protein, fatty foods to help them build up fat reserves to help survive the winter.”

PLANT TREES

The Woodland Trust say native species like holly, hawthorn and rowan are all suited to small outside spaces – providing vital food and shelter for birds, insects and small mammals through the colder months.

BUG HOTEL

You can go as budget or five star as you like with this – but it essentially means creating a pile (hotel) of logs, leaves, pinecones, twigs – then waiting for the insects and minibeasts to move in. Plus they’re a great way of avoiding a tip to the trip with all your green waste.

LEAVE THE LEAVES

Gone are the days when every single leaf needed to be picked out of the garden. Not only do they provide nutrients to your soil as they rot – but they provide a much needed shelter for insects, hedgehogs and small animals.

APPLES

Don’t be tempted to pick up all your fallen apples – the rotting fruit benefits the entire ecosystem – butterflies, earwigs, thrushes, badgers, foxes and small mammals all absolutely love them.

Gardening news, tips, savings, and a great competition to win an Autumn bundle worth more than £200

NEWS! BEAUTIFUL Autumn colour from the trees in your gardens could take longer to appear this year – thanks to the rain.
Trees are clinging on to their leaves for longer – because of the wet spring and colder Summer.
Pamela Smith, senior national consultant for gardens and parklands at the National Trust said: “We’ve seen a real mixed bag of conditions so far this year – particularly the soggy start, but if we see a gradual drop in temperature along with more settled weather, we could expect to see a drawn-out display. However, if we get sharp, hard frosts or see further wet weather with storms, heavy rain and wind roll across the UK, that may cut any extended show short.”

NEWS! Take part in the RHS Big Seed Save – running until October 20th – by saving your own seeds and sharing them with friends and neighbours. Its a great way of getting plants for free – and trying out new ones. You could even drop some at community hubs like food banks or libraries – please contact local organisations to find out what they can accept before you do so. Or leave some out in a communal space like your flats’ reception area or garden wall.

TOP TIP! Have a look for gardening price reductions in places like Home Bargains and B&M. Many shops have slapped on huge discounts to make way for Christmas. We reported this week how B&M were flogging £8 outdoor cushions for 50p

I’m unable to walk and felt humiliated after TUI staff wouldn’t help – now they won’t pay compensation

 Q) I AM struggling to get compensation after TUI failed to pass on my disability needs.

I booked a trip to the Dominican Republic to treat my family in July 2019.

an airplane is flying in the sky next to a sign that says squeeze team
We helped a customer get compensation after poor customer service

When I booked the trip, I told the agent I have mobility issues and would need special seating and assistance getting around.

But on the flight, I was put in standard seating and there was no ramp to help me get on and off, so it took a while for me to board.

Staff then wouldn’t let me use the toilet in the premium section, after being told to go there to avoid queuing.

The whole thing was humiliating and I was left in pain after the flight.

I feel I’m owed some compensation as my illness was not accommodated at all. Can you help?

Kevin Carter, Kingston, Surrey

A) Travelling can be a nightmare at the best of times, but if you have a disability, it can be extra difficult.

So, you were relieved when you told TUI about your needs and an agent reassured you that you would have special seating and all the necessary assistance.

Imagine your horror, then, when you came to board your flight and discovered there was no ramp available to help you get on and off.

This meant you were forced to climb the stairs, which took you a very long time and caused you considerable discomfort and pain.

Then, once you got on board, you were put in a standard seat, despite asking for extra legroom seat, causing you even more discomfort.

And during the flight, you told an attendant you needed to use the toilet, and they directed you to the premium section of the aircraft to avoid queueing.

But when you followed their directions, another flight attendant said you could not use this toilet and told you you had to wait in the queue.

By the time you arrived at your destination, you felt shaken and confused.

When I spoke with TUI, it apologised for the issues you faced with your flight.

However, it said it couldn’t find your request for accessibility help in its files.

It’s possible the caller you spoke with failed to note this down, but as there are no records, TUI can’t confirm what exactly happened.

Despite this, it has now offered you £200 cash as compensation for your experience.

When it reached out to you, it also told you that your feedback had been taken on board.

If you do have accessibility requirements, it’s really important to tell flight staff in advance to make sure everything is accommodated for.

If you do this and you don’t get the help you requested, you can make a complaint.

Try complaining directly to the airline in the first instance, and ask how you’d like them to put it right.

Put your complaint in writing so you can refer back to it if needed later.

If this fails, you can escalate your complaint to a third party like a dispute resolution service.
