Last Halloween, Channing Tatum and Zoë Kravitz had us all wondering whether they’d gotten engaged and forgotten to tell us. (They had.) This year, reports are again circulating about the couple, but this one gets a “booooo”: People reported Tuesday that multiple unnamed sources have said that one of the Internet’s favorite pairings have called off their engagement and broken up.
Representatives for Tatum and Kravitz did not immediately respond to Vanity Fair’s request for comment.
The two met on the set of Kravitz’s directorial debut, Blink Twice (originally titled Pussy Island during filming) and became an item three years ago. The public side of their relationship has, quite frankly, been a delight to behold, from the first photo outing them as a couple (Kravitz stoic and majestic on the back of Tatum’s BMX bike, zipping through New York City because, as she later revealed, she dressed too hot for the weather and didn’t feel like getting sweaty walking), tales of her all-in Is It Cake?-based pranking for Tatum’s birthday, and even flashing that engagement ring for the first time while in full couples costume splendor. They have openly discussed their differing views on Crocs.
As recently as August, Tatum was telling Vanity Fair that more collaboration, in life and art, would be ahead for himself and Kravitz. “We’ll be making things until we’re old and gray,” he said. “They’ll be our little movie babies.”
On Tuesday, the same day reports of a possible split surfaced, Tatum shared a news story to his Instagram Story that he and Kravitz had both joined the ensemble of the upcoming movie Alpha Gang.
Both Kravitz and Tatum were married previously, Kravitz to actor Karl Glusman and Tatum to actor Jenna Dewan, from whom his divorce was recently finalized. Tatum and Dewan share a daughter, Everly.
