THE Chicago White Sox have announced their new ballpark name for the 2025 MLB season.
For the last eight years, the stadium has been named Guaranteed Rate Field in connection with Chicago-based private residential mortgage company Guaranteed Rate.

The company purchased the naming rights in 2016 and signed a huge 13-year deal.
But this summer it was announced that Guaranteed Rate will be rebranding to Rate.
As a result, the White Sox‘s stadium name will also be changing.
From now on, the stadium will be known as Rate Field.
The White Sox announced the change on social media this week.
Rate CEO Victor Ciardell said: “We are now changing the name of this iconic ballpark to Rate Field.
“Jerry Reinsdorf and his team have been nothing but amazing to us in this process.
“We couldn’t be happier with our partnership with the Chicago White Sox in this transformation.
“We are thrilled to showcase our new name on this legendary ballpark for the best fans in baseball in the greatest city in the world.”
Fans were quick to comment on the change, with one person taking to X to write: “They removed guaranteed from the name because they cannot guarantee a win next year.”
Another quipped: “Because let’s be honest, we’re in no position to ‘guarantee’ anything.”
A third commented: “Somehow worse than it was before.”
While another joked: “2024: Guaranteed Rate Field. 2025: Rate Field.
2026: Field.”
The White Sox endured the worst season in MLB history this year.
They recorded the most defeats in a single campaign with a record of 41-121.
