Conor McGregor is going to make a comeback to combat sports. However, the comeback will not be in the UFC but an exhibition bout against Logan Paul in India. It will have the patronage of the richest business family in India, the Ambanis.
It will also be the first bout since the loss to Dustin Poirier in 2021. It will also be his second boxing venture after the Mayweather bout.
Is Conor McGregor Set for Boxing Comeback Against Logan Paul in India?
Earlier there were rumors that the MMA fighter Conor McGregor will be locking horns with Ilia Topuria. However, McGregor negated these rumours and instead in his interactions with the media discussed a possible bout with YouTuber-turned-boxer Logan Paul. McGregor had also hinted that the Ambani family could organize the event.
McGregor posted on X,
“The rumours of a bout with Topuria are false. I am in preliminary agreements with the Ambani family to face Logan Paul in a boxing exhibition in India. I have agreed. I will then seek my return to the Octagon”.

The match has generated a huge buzz although there has been no confirmation from either the Ambani family of Logan Paul.
If the bout between McGregor and Logan Paul is realized in India it will be a huge significant boost to the country’s combat sports scene and mark McGregor’s return to the boxing ring.
McGregor had fractured his leg in his bout against Dustin Poirier in 2021 and fans were eagerly waiting to see his return to the rings. McGregor also expressed his desire to return to the UFC Octagon after this event.
McGregor has suffered two successive defeats at the hands of Poirier in 2021.
He was supposed to lock horns with Michael Chandler at UFC 303 in June but withdrew due to injury.
Injuries are not the only woes with which McGregor is dealing and he also facing legal issues and was found liable for sexual assault in a civil case and had to pay $262,000 in damages.
The incident had severely dented his public image as well as his career.
