Consistency is the key to surviving in the industry: Simaran Kaur 930459

Simaran Kaur who is currently seen as Riddhi Chotwani in Zee TV’s newly launched show Jamai No. 1 produced by Studio LSD is excited to perform in sequences that push her out of her comfort zone. The show stars her in the lead role along with Abhishek Malik.

She says, “As actors, we crave to do scenes that challenge us emotionally and creatively. One such moment for me in Jamai No. 1 was when Riddhi burns her own car. It was a pivotal scene for my character. Again, my character has a very emotional space for her mother in the show. And usually you see that a mother is taking care of her child, but here my character is taking care of her mother and singing her lullabies. She is the more responsible one here. She calms her down when she gets a panic attack. And that scene showed mother-daughter love, and I got so many messages from my fans where they said that they remembered their mother seeing that scene.”

“And with Abhishek (who plays Neel), we did a few scenes where we had long dialogues, and it was just the two of us doing it, so it showed the camaraderie that we share. It was flawless and reflects the chemistry that the actors share. It’s moments like these that remind me why I chose to become an actor. The adrenaline, the preparation, and finally seeing it come alive on screen—it’s all so rewarding,” she adds.

Simaran has been in the industry for quite some time and has worked in different trades, like as an actor, a host, a voiceover artist, etc. She believes that consistency is the key to surviving in the industry.

Ask her for a piece of advice that she would give to an aspiring actor, and she says, “Believe in yourself and stay consistent. This industry can be tough—it’s full of challenges and uncertainties. But if you’re passionate and willing to put in the hard work, the results will come.”

“Keep honing your craft and don’t let setbacks discourage you. Every struggle is part of the journey and will shape you into a better performer. Trust the process, be patient, and always stay focused on your goals,” Simaran ends.
