In a viral video, Instagram user Costco So Obsessed detailed the drink’s deal.

The enthusiastic shopper referred to De La Calle Tepache as “Costco’s newest hidden gem.”

Described as a “modern Mexican soda,” the drink is available at Costco while supplies last.

The Instagrammer went on to explain the taste of the fizzy drink as they poured one into a glass to show viewers.

“This tropical ponche flavor tastes like a fruit punch, and is only available for a limited time,” they said.

They summed up the flavor as “a fruit medley with depth from the citrus fruits, fresh pineapple, and spices.”

The Mexican soda is low in sugar and calories, certified organic, and high in Vitamin C.

“Finally, a healthier Mexican soda,” the Costco shopper wrote in the clip’s caption.

As part of the current deal, the drink is available in a 12-pack case for $17.99.

Costco confirmed that this is “the cheapest deal for a 12-pack case anywhere.”

However, it is currently only available to those on the west coast, specifically in LA.

“So run don’t walk to a Costco near you in Los Angeles to grab some for yourself,” the Instagram user said.

California-based shoppers may want to check their zip code before availing of the offer.

It is currently only sold in select locations throughout the city.

These include: 429, San Juan Capistrano, 454, Irvine, 474, Goleta, 479, Culver City, 643, SW Bakersfield, 671, Hawthorne, 688, Bakersfield, 1001, Tustin, 1202, Torrance, 428, Alhambra CA, and 1318, Monterey Park.

Costco membership sharing guidelines

Costco has strict rules for membership use that shoppers must follow and they’ve been cracking down on offenders in recent years.

  • Primary Member Use: Only the primary cardholder can use this Costco membership card. Sharing it for purchases is not allowed as the photo on the card must match the person using it.
  • Household Card: Each primary member can add one free household cardholder who lives at the same address. This person will receive their own membership card and can shop at Costco independently.
  • Guest Policy: Members can bring up to two guests per visit to Costco. However, only the member can make purchases. Guests must be accompanied by the member.
  • Authorized Cardholder: For an additional fee, you can add an authorized cardholder, such as a family member or friend, who doesn’t reside at your address. They will receive their own card and can shop independently.

“Holiday cocktail mixer??” agreed a third person.

Another enthusiastic Costco member said they were “on the way.”
