THE Dallas Cowboys are set to make a major decision over the future of Mike McCarthy.
The NFC East team have had a mixed 2024-25 NFL season, which started in shambolic fashion.

Billionaire owner Jerry Jones will make the final call on McCarthy’s future as head coach[/caption]
They now have a 7-8 record on the year after winning five of their last six games.
That included a narrow 26-24 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday.
Despite the win, it saw the ends of any hopes of making the playoffs.
That was after the Washington Commanders beat their bitter rivals the Philadelphia Eagles.
And the LA Rams beating the New York Jets also saw an end of the Cowboys post regular season plans.
Now, Jerry Jones is set to make his decision over whether to fire McCarthy or not.
It is understood the billionaire owner was reluctant to sack his head coach during the campaign.
He was always going to stick it out, and make a call on his future at the end of the year.
Now that time has come following the Cowboys official exit from the playoff picture.
It is believed Jones and the hierarchy at the AT&T Stadium have not ruled out giving him a new deal.
He is out of contact at the end of the season.
The higher powers wanted to see improvement towards the end of the campaign.
They wanted McCarthy to prove he was the man to take them forward.
And he has done that with a major upturn in results.
NFL on Netflix
Netflix will be the global home of the NFL on Christmas Day this year.
The streaming service will show two special holiday games live around the world.
Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs kick off the double header against the Pittsburgh Steelers at 1 pm ET.
And they’ll be followed by the Baltimore Ravens at the Houston Texans from 4.30 pm ET.
That game will also feature a halftime show from Beyonce in her home town of Houston, Texas.
Netflix also confirmed their broadcast team for the day, led by Fox NFL commentator Greg Olsen and former Good Morning Football host Kay Adams.
The combination of injuries to key players and poor form from stars hasn’t helped the head coach.
Dak Prescott has missed most of the regular season with a hamstring injury.
He has been missing since Week 9 after requiring surgery.
They have also been without DaRon Bland, Brandin Cooks and Micah Parsons.
Zack Martin, Marshawn Kneeland and Trevon DIggs have also suffered problems.
Jones and McCarthy will now hold talks over his future.
But it is looking more and more likely he stays on for another year, at least.
