Donald Trump’s Next Stop on His Podcast Blitz May Be With Joe Rogan

Donald Trump has indicated that he’s going to appear on The Joe Rogan Experience, which is not only the number one podcast in America, but specifically, boasts a heavily male audience that the Republican nominee is looking to sway in the waning weeks of the 2024 election.

During an appearance on the Nelk Boys, a group of popular YouTube pranksters turned podcasters, the former president was asked whether he would go on Rogan’s show, to which he replied, “Oh sure I would.” Trump then suggested that a plan to appear on the hugely popular podcast is in the works, saying “I think I’m doing it actually.”

The Trump campaign did not immediately confirm the Joe Rogan sit-down. But appearing on the show would follow the Republican candidate’s string of non-traditional media hits in which he can potentially reach voters less tied to, or who have tuned out, mainstream news sources. In addition to the Nelk Boys, Trump recently appeared on comedian Theo Von’s podcast, Logan Paul’s YouTube channel, and Andrew Schulz’s Flagrant with Akaash Singh. These appearances, at times chummy and more conversational than your typical cable news interview, have yielded some viral moments, such as Trump asking Von about his past cocaine use.

Though Rogan has yet to confirm Trump’s appearance on his show, he did poll his X followers on Saturday about whether they would like to see the former president on the show. A Spotify spokesperson did not respond to a request for comment.

Rogan made headlines in August after expressing support for Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who at the time was running as an independent candidate but who has since endorsed Trump. “They gaslight you, they manipulate you, they promote narratives,” Rogan said of politicians on both sides of the aisle. “The only one who is not doing that is Robert F. Kennedy Jr.” The podcaster clarified his statements on social media, writing “For the record, this isn’t an endorsement.”

Elon Musk, who has emerged as one of Trump’s most enthusiastic supporters, recently suggested Trump will appear on Rogan’s show. In response to a post about how Rogan has limited time left to interview Trump before the election, Musk wrote, “It will happen.”

Vice President Kamala Harris, too, is looking beyond the national news media in hopes of reaching voters. She recently appeared on the second-most popular podcast, Call Her Daddy, which is hosted by Alex Cooper and enjoys a large female audience. She also stopped by Howard Stern’s show last week.

In addition, Harris appeared Monday in an interview with The Shade Room’s Justin Carter, where she unveiled her “Opportunity Agenda For Black Men,” and is expected to participate in a town hall Tuesday with Charlamagne tha God, host of The Breakfast Club.
