A WOMAN is in serious condition after a horror multi-vehicle crash on a major Scots road.
Mercy crews raced to the scene on the A9’s northbound carriageway near Dunblane after the alarm was raised at around 4.40pm on Wednesday.
Four vehicles were involved in the smash – a red Hyundai i10, a white DAF truck, a red Kia Sportage and a white Volvo XC40.
The 50-year-old driver of the Hyundai was blue-lighted to Dundee‘s Ninewells Hospital.
Medics describe her condition as serious.
The road was closed for around two hours while cops carried out enquiries.
The force is appealing for more information to establish the full circumstances of the crash.
Sergeant Fraser Easton said: We are continuing our enquiries to establish the full circumstances. I would urge anyone who may have information or dash-cam footage which could help to come forward.
“Anyone with information should contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 2258 of 8 January.”
