Dynamos players on strike again, boycott training

By Sport Reporter

Dynamos players refused to train on Thursday morning in protest of their outstanding winning bonuses.

This marked the team’s second day without training this week.

The industrial action comes three days before Dembare hosts Manica Diamonds in a Chibuku Super Cup semi-final match scheduled for Sunday at Rufaro Stadium.

Although players pitched up at their training venue (Alex Sports Club), they all refused to train calling for the executive to settle their outstanding dues.

When New Zimbabwe.com visited Alex Sports Club the club’s chairman was present waiting to address the players.

According to inside sources, Dynamos players have gone for four months without receiving their winning bonuses.

Other than outstanding winning bonuses, the majority of the players are still owed their sign-on fees by the club.

This is not the first time that Dembare players have protested this season, in July the team went for four days without training, ahead of their second-leg fixture against Highlanders.
