Emma’s good friend Martyne Taiwo said the pair had been close friends from a very young age. She told Yorkshire Live: “She was bubbly, excited, full of life, she had a real zest for life. She was a big people pleaser. You never really knew what was going on, unless you totally knew her totally, unless you were sat up on the phone at 3am or 4am in deep conversation. We were good friends all through our lives, she was my crutch.”
Tributes have also flooded in on social media for Emma, affectionately known as Emma Acko, with heartbroken friends and family describing her as a “beautiful soul”. Sarah Whapham commented on Facebook: “A call I was not expecting this morning has left us in complete shock. Emma you had the biggest personality and the biggest heart. My beautiful cousin rest peacefully.”
