A petrol station worker was shocked to find an engineer from a well-known company dead inside his car parked in front of the restroom. Police quickly arrived to investigate, suspecting a health condition as the cause of death.

At around 9.27am today, July 10, Sunanta Rodpetch, an investigating officer from Phetchaburi City Police Station, received a report of an unconscious person inside a car at a petrol station on Petchkasem Road, inbound to Bangkok, in Hua Saphan Subdistrict, Mueang district, Phetchaburi province. Officers from Phra Chom Klao Hospital and the Sawang Sanphet Thammasathan Foundation were dispatched to the scene.

Upon arrival, officers found a Suzuki car with a Bangkok registration parked with the engine off in front of the restroom. Inside the vehicle, on the driver’s seat, lay 55 year old Surasak, an engineer from a prominent company in Cha-Am District.

He was discovered wearing a short-sleeved navy shirt and black trousers, unconscious and without any signs of life. Initial checks by rescue officials confirmed his death, and no evidence of a struggle or assault was found, reported KhaoSod.

Investigating officers and medical examiners from Phra Chom Klao Hospital conducted a preliminary autopsy, suggesting that Surasak might have died from a pre-existing medical condition. His body has been sent to the forensic department for a detailed autopsy to determine the exact cause of death. The police will contact his relatives to collect the body for religious rites.
