There will be four major sports on live television for millions of eyes to see on Monday, October 28.

The New York Giants will take on the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 8 for the upcoming NFL season.
The contest will be on ESPN’s Monday Night Football.
TV viewers will also get to watch Game 3 of the MLB World Series on the same day.
And there will be numerous NBA and NHL games as well.
There will be 11 NBA games and eight NHL games on the day.
That means there will be four major sports occurring on the same day and at the same time – which is called a sports equinox.
Social media users shared their enthusiasm for the special sports day on X.
“How rare is this?” one asked.
“The best day of the year,” another wrote.
“Christmas in October,” a third said.
“who has an equinox birthday? I wish,” a fourth added.
Last year, the sports equinox took place on October 30.
On that day, the Texas Rangers played the Arizona Diamondbacks in Game 3 of the World Series.
Meanwhile, the Las Vegas Raiders played the Detroit Lions on Monday Night Football.

The rare unusual sports equinox typically only happens in October when the NFL is in the season, the NHL and NBA are beginning and the MLB is close to crowning a World Series champion.
The 31st sports equinox will happen this year.
The first-ever sports equinox was recorded on October 17, 1971.
There was once a 16-year period from 1985-2001 where sports fans couldn’t experience a sports equinox.
