Even though he isn’t a part of the losses, Young appears to be feeling some of the weight of losing.
During media availability, Young appeared down and shared some concerning answers about his motivation.
“I’m not someone who’s really externally motivated,” Young said.
“I draw my motivation from inside, so good, bad, or indifferent I don’t want anything to dictate if I care or if I’m driven.
“No matter how things are going, that’s always going to stay the same.”
Fans were immediately concerned about Young after the answer, and shared their thoughts about his situation.
“Yea, getting thrown in as a starter when you’re not ready then when you mess up, they bench you. A player loses all hope and motivation,” one fan said.
“Hope this guy gets a real shot,” another fan said.
“Rooting for bro. Wasn’t the best situation… needs better coaching. Hope he is able to get somewhere he can flourish,” a third fan said.
“Bryce Young appears to be completely broken as a person,” a fourth fan said.
“Get him out of there & with a real coach & mentor,” a fifth fan said.
Young was only given two shots at starting this season before he was moved to the bench.
In those two games he only passed for 245 total yards with no passing touchdowns and three interceptions.
His only touchdown this season came on the ground as a rusher.
In his career, Young only has 3,180 yards and 11 touchdowns to 13 interceptions.

Veteran quarterback Andy Dalton has taken over as the Panthers’ starting quarterback since Young’s benching.
Dalton started out hot with a 300-yard passing game with three touchdowns, but each game has gotten worse.
So far this season he has 675 yards with five touchdowns and two interceptions.
The Panthers haven’t seen much more success with Dalton versus with Young. Dalton is 1-2 as a quarterback while Young was 0-2.
The team has said they expect Young to start again at some point, but there is no timetable on his return.
