The inspiration for their baby name actually comes from their dream vacation.

“When Ken and I were together seven years ago, we both have a fascination with the Northern Lights, and the correct term is Aurora Borealis,” the ex-con explained. “I think maybe it was 2018, we wrote each other’s future children’s names on paper and Aurora is what we both chose without even knowing each other chose it.”

Gypsy and Ken plan an unforgettable trip to see the Northern Lights in person when she finishes her parole. “One day we’ll see,” she said. “When I’m paroled we’ll go. We’ll go to Sweden.”

“We have a long history. So we first dated in 2017 for two years… We have a two-year history behind us,” Gypsy explained on “Radio Andy’s Andy Cohen Live.” “We were separated for four and a half years, and then I got married and moved on … I married Ryan. And then I got out (of prison) and just realized that it wasn’t the marriage I wanted. And so I filed for divorce and then reconnected with Ken. And a month later we got pregnant. It’s been a journey.”

“I am delighted to announce that I am 11 weeks pregnant. Ken and I are expecting our very first child in January 2025,” said the 32-year-old, who is believed to be a Munchausen victim by proxy. “You know it’s still going to be a long journey ahead of me, but I’m ready. I feel a change in myself.”

“Once I found out I was pregnant, nothing else mattered; the drama on social media, the feud between creators and me and all that drama, it all just faded away. It didn’t matter anymore,” she later added. “All that matters is that I’m healthy, the baby is healthy and the relationship with Ken is healthy.”

Just days after sharing the news of her pregnancy with the world, Gypsy opened up to PEOPLE Magazine about her childhood and the importance of starting a family. Reflecting on her past, she recalled her mother telling her she would “never get married, have a family, have kids, or do any of that.”

“So, to be here, standing on my own two feet and expecting my first child, that’s something I’ve reached as an achievement and a personal goal,” she said. “I thank God every day that I now get this second chance in life with a child of my own.”

Gypsy added, “The way my mom raised me is definitely not who I’m going to be. We always say for the next generation, we want to be better than we were raised, and so for me, I think that could not be more truthful .”
