GRAND RAPIDS, MI — With Christmas gone and the wrapping paper headed for the landfill, Grand Rapids-area locals are planning to ring in 2025 for their night out on the town.
Below is a list of some of the New Year’s events planned around Grand Rapids, whether your family is looking for a place to go bowling or a group of friends want to pop champagne as the clock strikes midnight.
BOB
New Year’s Eve at The BOB runs from 8pm to 1am at 20 Monroe Ave. NW on Tuesday, December 31st.
The annual event features five floors of live entertainment and DJs, stand-up comedy, chef-crafted NYE dinner menus, craft beers and specialty cocktails.
Ages 21 and up are allowed and ID must be presented at the door. Advance ticket packages include:
- General Admission – $50 per person for event and pre-party.
- Judson’s Dinner Package – $75 for the Pre-Party, Main Event and Stroll Dinner.
- Dr. Grins – $70 for pre-party, main event and comedy show.

The Score Restaurant & Sports Bar
Ring in the new year at this casual sports bar on December 31st.
From 6pm to 1am, everyone is invited to a surf-and-turf baked potato and asparagus dinner for $65 per person. A bottle of champagne and dessert per couple will be provided, along with chips and salsa per table.
Additionally, DJ Bingo will be available from 8pm to 10pm, and a dance floor with live music will be available from 10pm to 1am
Reservations are preferred, but walk-ins are welcome while supplies last. Register no later than 18.00 on Tuesday.
Amway Grand Plaza and JW Marriott
Join Amway Grand Plaza and JW Marriott at 20.00 on Tuesday 31 December for the expected New Year’s celebrations.
The 21 and over events are connected by a skywalk at 187 Monroe Ave. NW to become the ultimate party destination with champagne, dazzling lights and spinning tunes.
At Amway, DJs will present a “Battle through the Decades”, and at JW Marriott’s Club J-DUB, DJ Kane will keep the energy high with the biggest hits.
Attendees also have the chance to purchase guest room packages, which include:

Let’s eat
Step back into the opulence of the Roaring Twenties at Gatsby’s Mansion’s New Year’s Eve Party, hosted by Mangiamo.
The exclusive event, which begins at 5pm for the first seating at 1033 Lake Drive SE in Grand Rapids on Tuesday, December 31st, ends at 1:30am on January 1st.
Guests are encouraged to dress in their finest 1920s clothing. Event highlights include:
- Live Jazz Music – Smooth sounds from a live jazz band.
- Fine four-course dinner – Treat yourself to oysters, truffle cappuccino soup, surf and turf and a berry cake with chocolate.
- Speakeasy bar – Experience MO’s Cocktail Lounge, offering crafted Prohibition-era cocktails in a hidden and vintage setting.

House Rules Board Games Lounge
Gather your team for a cozy New Year’s celebration with trivia and toasts in the House Rules Board Game Lounge.
From 8pm to midnight on December 31, attendees donning their favorite pajamas can expect three trivia rounds paired with food before the countdown party with additional puzzles and giveaways.
Each $45 ticket includes great prizes, a champagne toast at midnight, pudding shots, food pairings and wristbands.

The holiday bar
Holiday Bar’s 2025 NYE party on December 31 includes live music, a DJ dance party, a champagne toast and party favors.
From 8 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. at 801 Fifth St. NW, attendees can expect live music from Crystal Hoffman and a dance party with DJ Q.
Reservations are limited to two hours and require a $50 deposit, which will be applied to the total bill.
Rapid River Stillhouse
Rapid River Stillhouse opened last fall at 401 Stocking Ave. NW, and the fairly new location is hosting a New Year’s party starting in 2025.
Residents and visitors 21 and older are welcome to join their friends for a night of celebration as the river rings in the new year starting at 8 p.m.
For $125 per person, guests can expect a fun night of live music, delicious food and drink, and the NYC Ball Drop broadcast on the giant video wall.

Rich theater
Celebrate New Year’s Eve by seeing the classic Talking Heads film ‘Stop Making Sense’ at the Wealthy Theater on December 31st.
From 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM, attendees can ring in the New Year in their most enormous gray suit or favorite NYE attire.
You can celebrate early with the usual Tuesday movie at 20.00 or join a late night screening at 23.00

Craig’s cruiser
This annual New Year’s Eve party, held at 5730 Clyde Park Ave. SW in Wyoming, offering two times on Dec. 31: noon to 4 p.m. and 5 to 9 p.m.
$40 wristband includes unlimited access to go-karts, laser tag, bumper cars and other attractions. Guests can also indulge in a pizza and pasta buffet, party favors and a confetti cannon countdown.

Kent District Library
Check out the Happy Noon Year event, which will take place from 11 a.m. to noon on Dec. 31 at Kent District Library’s nine branches, including East Grand Rapids, Grandville, Wyoming and Lowell.
The event is free and open to the public but is aimed at children. It aims to let families ring in the new year in an hour that won’t keep the kids up past bedtime.

Grand Rapids Children’s Museum
Bring the kids to the Grand Rapids Children’s Museum’s early New Year’s Eve celebration at 11 Sheldon Ave. NO.
From 5 to 8 p.m., parents can expect tons of hands-on activities for kids, including a confetti-filled celebration, disco ball games, music, dancing, wish sticks, party hats, snacks and more.
Tickets are $25 for general admission and $15 for museum members.
Dave & Buster’s
Ring in the New Year early at Dave & Buster’s, 3660 28th St. SE, for a night out with the whole family.
“There’s only one way to end the year and start another – with FUN,” as the event’s website states. “New Year’s Eve at Dave & Buster’s is the place to be.”
From 4 to 7 p.m., there will be unlimited video games, comfort food like pizza slices and mini cheeseburgers, and a special video countdown.
Plus, everyone will enjoy an all-ages ginger ale toast at the end of the evening.

Roll into 2025 and improve your bowling skills on New Year’s Eve at Clique Lanes, 533 Stocking Ave. NW.
The cost is $80 per lane and a $25 non-refundable deposit is required. Guests can expect pizza and unlimited bowling from 12:30 to 3:00 p.m., 3:30 to 6:30 p.m., 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. or 10:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.

Grand Rapids Griffins
The Grand Rapids Griffins take on the Cleveland Monsters starting at 6pm on New Year’s Eve.
After the game at 130 W. Fulton St. fans can enjoy an indoor fireworks show and an open ice skate at Van Andel Arena.
