Olympic gold medalist Noah Lyles narrowly beat popular streamer and social media star IShowSpeed in a 50-meter dash on Wednesday.
Speed is known for his athleticism, and fans were surprised by his run with world the master was even close.
During one of his streams on Wednesday, popular YouTuber MrBeast challenged the 19-year-old to compete for the “fastest man on earth” Lyles.
MrBeast offered $100,000 in prize money for the race. Speed eventually drove to the racetrack to face one of the world’s best sprinters.
The two were neck and neck for the first few meters. Speed was actually slightly ahead, but Lyle’s experience kicked in and he overtook the youngster to win the race.
After the epic showdown, Lyles challenged Speed to train with him and meet again after a week, this time in the 100m, pr. Bleacher Report. Lyles won the Olympic gold medal in the distance by the smallest margin.
The American defeated Jamaica’s Kishane Thompson by five thousandths of a second to secure his first ever gold medal Paris Olympics. However, he dropped the 200 m and did not run in the relay, which his team also lost.

The 27-year-old shared that he had many personal health problems such as depression and asthma, but that did not stop him from becoming an Olympic champion.
