A MUM was left in hysterics when she realised the error she’d made buying her daughter some Victoria’s Secret undies for Christmas.
Ashley explained that she wanted to take advantage of the lingerie store’s bundle deal, to get her eldest daughter seven pairs of pants for a fairly reasonable £28.
And while she was in the store, she started chatting to the manager, explaining how her daughter is in her first year of college and she wanted to treat her to some new designer undies.
“I’m just kind of like mixing, matching, grabbing stuff,” she continued in her TikTok video.
“And she sort of like looks at me funny when she’s ringing me up.”
At which point Ashley pointed out that “well, she’s in college!”
So the manager said “okay”, Ashley paid and left.
And it wasn’t until the next day, when she unwrapped her purchases, that she realised her epic error.
“Now I know why this lady looked at me like I was crazy,” she sighed.
“Because I accidentally got crotchless panties for my daughter!
“And the lady knew because I kept talking about where she goes to school and how old she is and all the things.”
Concluding, Ashley said: “Now she thinks I’m a psychopath who bought her daughter crotchless underwear!”
“Who accidentally buys their daughter crotchless panties?” she wrote in the caption of the video, adding hashtags including #mumfail.
People were quick to comment on the clip, with one writing: “Now you NEED to go back to the same store and find the woman to tell her it was an accident!”
“I’m thinking about it,” Ashley laughed.
“This is hilarious. I’d be mortified,” another admitted.
“Ma’am, even if they had the crotch intact, those are clearly not wear-around-campus underwear! what??” a third insisted.
To which Ashley replied: “They looked like thongs with a small detail on the back!”
“I used to work at Victoria’s Secret and this stuff happens all the time,” someone else commented.
“You know it’s not what the person is wanting to buy, but what can you say?
“Are you sure you wanna buy THESE???”
“That’s so true!” Ashley admitted.
She was so embarrassed that she was even considering returning to the store to explain her mistake[/caption]
