The sleek vehicle comes complete with a 4.0-litre twin-turbo hybrid V10[/caption]

Powered by a lightweight 4.0-litre twin-turbo hybrid V10, the sleek vehicle puts out a combined 877kW of power and 1026Nm of torque.

It also boats a pair of turbochargers and hits the scales at 698kg before anyone has even slotted into the driver’s seat.

They were developed in-house from 3D printed titanium and carbon fibre composites.

“On the version 2 car, we’ve run through simulation software that we use at the race team in the UK,” Rodin Cars founder and boss David Dicker told TopGear.

“And with 1,500bhp and the same weight as a current F1 car, it shows the car seven seconds a lap quicker around Albert Park than an RB20.”

“It’s unfair on the F1 guys.

“Because obviously they’re all running around with their hands tied behind their back.

But that’s just the reality of the situation.

“We just want to show that other things are possible.”

Rodin has built two prototypes in the UK by Neil Brown Engineering but has sinced return to New Zealand to finalise its preparations before its release.

Deep-pocketed petrol heads can get their hands on the the vehicle for a rumoured £1.8million.

DARK KNIGHT

It comes after a supercar brand revealed its new range of Batman-inspired models, including an EV it claims is “faster than an F1 car”.

The company, which has designed some of the most famous motors in history, are launching the new lineup in collaboration with a superhero-themed theatre project.

Pininfarina has lent their styling touch to models from legendary manufacturers including Ferrari, Maserati and Alfa Romeo over the years.

Now, though, the company is producing its own range of cars, with some fascinating design twists.

We just want to show that other things are possible.

The Battista marque, named for founder Battista Pininfarina, is a relatively new kid on the block in the supercar world by comparison but is making quite a splash nonetheless.

It has so far produced two “industry-leading hypercars”, the B95 hyper-barchetta and the Battista hyper GT.

The former starts at over £4 million while the latter is a comparatively cheap £2 million.

Both are capable of over 200mph, with the hyper GT claiming to be the most powerful Italian sports car ever as it hits 222mph.

Two new variants of each model is set to be released as part of a joint project with the Wayne Enterprises Experience, a “first-of-its-kind retail theatre concept” launching this summer.

The invitation-only shopping extravaganza will feature a super-luxury Gotham version and a hard-hitting, ultra-powerful Dark Knight spec of each car.

Preview images show the Gotham to be a blacked-out, razor-sharp sportster will gull-wing doors, while the Dark Knight car will see the top removed to save weight and plush but functional race-style seats.
