I’ve won the lottery THREE times – I’m a millionaire but I’ll never stop playing…why would I when I keep scooping cash?

AN UNUSUALLY lucky man who’s scooped the lottery jackpot three times does not plan to stop playing any time soon.

Vincent Charlemagne, from Canada, first hit the jackpot 11 years ago – but it’s only now the millionaire insists he’ll quit his day job.

His winning streak first began on August 30, 2013 when he won a whopping £16.6 million (CAD 30 million) on Lotto Max – one of Canada’s three national lottery games.

The self-employed contractor was left gobsmacked at the time, saying: “I scanned my ticket on the self-checker.

“When I saw all the numbers, I didn’t think it was real. I thought I won just a couple bucks.”

On February 26, 2021, Vincent bagged a staggering £554,810 (CAD 1 million) on Lotto Max’s Max Millions.

He admitted: “Because I’ve won before, it was not as shocking as the first time. But I am still happy.”

Vincent won his third and most recent prize of £55,480 (CAD 100,000) this August using Encore, according to the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Commission (OLG).

Encore is an option that can be played with most OLG lottery games for an extra charge of £0.55 (CAD 1).

He said: “I always add Encore to my tickets. I went to the store and checked to see the outcome of my tickets.

“When I saw the ‘Big Winner’ message on the screen, I was so excited to discover I had won again.

The lucky winner, originally from St. Lucia, collected his cheque from the lottery headquarters in Toronto at the end of September.

He bought the winning ticket at Jane Variety & Gifts on Jane Street in North York.

Speaking to lottery officials for the third time, he said: “I am happy and comfortable. I definitely won’t be working anymore.”

And despite winning the lottery three times- three times more than most – Vincent said he plans to continue playing “forever”.

Meanwhile a man further west in Alberta, Canada, scooped up £43 million thanks to his girlfriend’s craving for something sweet.

Last year, Aaron Parsons won the massive jackpot after buying a ticket on a whim while picking up cake ingredients for his beau.

Aaron recalled how his girlfriend was craving a sweet treat, so he went to his local 7-Eleven.

He told CTV News: “We had no eggs or sugar, so we went to the store, and I bought the ticket.

“If we hadn’t gone to the store that night, I wouldn’t have gotten this ticket and I wouldn’t have won $55million (£43million).”

Aaron had forgotten about his ticket until days later when he saw an advertisement about the April 25 Lotto Max draw.
