Everton return to Premier League action against Man City on Boxing Day
James Tarkowski has warned Manchester City that Everton will arrive at the Etihad expecting to come away with a positive result. After drawing 0-0 at Arsenal last weekend, the Blues picked up another point against Chelsea at Goodison Park on Sunday afternoon.
But while Everton enjoying an impressive run of form, the same cannot be said for City, as their miserable run continued at the weekend when they were beaten at Aston Villa.
It was a ninth defeat in 12 games in all competitions for the defending Premier Premier League champions, and they are now seventh in the table, 12 points behind league leaders Liverpool.

And Tarkowski has warned Pep Guardiola’s side that they will face an in-form squad helped by the return of a number of injured players.
He said: “I know it’s difficult to go to these stadiums, and there’s a lot of talk about Man City’s form at the moment, but I still look at their team and see a team full of quality players.
“City are a top side, so people will question them as soon as possible, but we go there expecting to get a result from the game.
“We’re a team in good form, and we haven’t lost many games in the last 12 or 13 games, and we’re in a place where we feel good.
“We’ve got a strong squad at the moment with people coming back from injury and stuff, so we’re feeling good as a group.
“This is a nice period where there are a lot of games coming close and fast, so bodies will be needed, but we have a strong squad there as well.”
