DESPITE a losing record on the season, the Dallas Cowboys are still buying pieces.
On Tuesday, the Dallas Cowboys acquired wide receiver Jonathan Mingo from the Carolina Panthers.

Fans are furious with Cowboys owner Jerry Jones for the trade[/caption]
Mingo was drafted in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft and was in his second season with the Panthers.
He hasn’t done much with his career up to this point, but he has dealt with some of the worst quarterback play in the league.
Between Bryce Young and Andy Dalton, the Panthers have produced the worst passing numbers in the NFL.
With those two quarterbacks, Mingo has only collected 539 yards with no touchdowns.
He is getting a change of scenery with the trade to Dallas, but it is questionable if he is actually going to a better situation.
At 3-6, the Cowboys only have one more win than the Panthers, and will be without quarterback Dak Prescott after an injury.
On top of that, the Cowboys paid a premium price to Carolina for their young wide receiver.
Dallas sent a fourth-round pick to the Panthers in exchange for Mingo, a higher price than some proven veterans.
The New York Jets acquired All-pro wide receiver Davante Adams for just a fourth-round pick.
The Kansas City Chiefs got DeAndre Hopkins for only a fifth-round pick from the Tennessee Titans.
The Baltimore Ravens got Diontae Johnson for a fifth-round pick from the Panthers.
Cowboys fans were furious with the trade, claiming that owner Jerry Jones overpaid for their new wide receiver.
“I despise anyone in the comments trying to defend the move,” one fan said.
“No way this is who Jerry was excited about adding,” another fan said.
“Jerry jones trolling at this point,” a third fan said.

“Is that really the help they went for?” a fourth fan said.

The Cowboys will hope that Mingo can be a complimentary weapon alongside CeeDee Lamb.
It is likely a move for the future and not this year though, as the Cowboys have a longshot at the playoffs.
Dallas would almost need a miracle to get to the postseason this year.
