On Thursday, the Chiefs revealed their injury report after practice.

Head coach Andy Reid shared that wide receiver JuJu Smith-Shuster (hamstring), offensive lineman Ethan Driskell (illness_, and cornerback Nazeeh Johnson (concussion) would not participate in the first practice of the week.

However, he revealed that Patrick Mahomes was added to the injury report due to an ankle issue.

Reid said that he had his ankle rolled up on after the Week 8 win over the Las Vegas Raiders.

It was the first time Mahomes was placed on the injury report all season.

The appearance on the injury reports means he received treatment from the training staff for his ankle injury.

Mahomes was listed as a full participant in practice and is expected to play on Monday.

Since the start of the 2021 season, the two-time NFL MVP has missed just one start.

As for the rest of the injury report, defensive end Mike Danna (pectoral) and running back Kareem Hunt (quad) were limited in Thursday’s practice.

Danna has missed three games this season, including the last two due to a pectoral injury.

The full participants in practice are as follows: wide receiver Mecole Hardman (knee), Mahomes (ankle), cornerback Trent McDuffie (knee), defensive tackle Derrick Nnadi (triceps), and Drue Tranquill (chest).

Reid did share a positive update on star running back Isiah Pacheco.

The 25-year-old has been on injured reserve since Week 2 due to a fractured fibula.

While Pacheco isn’t expected to return to practice this week or next week, Reid said “he’s doing fantastic.”

“He’s getting there, but he’s doing fantastic,” Reid said to reporters Thursday.

“He’s really doing well. Between the trainers and doctors and all that, that’s out of my hands there.

“But he’s making great progress.”

The Chiefs have a 7-0 record and will face the 4-4 Bucs.

Mahomes will hope to improve on his eight-touchdown to nine-interception stat line.
