THE Masked Singer fans are convinced Pufferfish is concealing the identity of an American actress who has conquered her drink and drug demons.
Viewers of the ITV show called out a handful of clues – which they claim could unmask her as the colourful character with huge fluttering eyelashes.

Pufferfish arrived on the new series donning pink lipstick, as well as a matching ruffle around its neck.
It finished off its striking look with a blue corset, tights and scaled boots, with puff of colour around the waist.
Last week, the spiky fish performed Chappell Roan’s Good Luck, Babe! with an impressive set of vocals before they belted out Cindi Lauper classic Girls Just Want To Have Fun on Saturday’s holiday special.
After seeing her clues and hearing her voice, some Masked Singer viewers reckon New York-born Hayden Panettiere is the character’s true identity.
Previous clues have hinted at a Stateside star, after Pufferfish referred to the Statue of Liberty and American football – while others said they recognised her vocal talents.
One fan referred to her role in TV series Nashville and put: “Could be Hayden Panettiere does a sound a little like her when you think back to her Nashville performances.”
Another agreed with Davina McCall, who suggested the Heroes actress, and put: “Now could pufferfish be
@haydenpanettier.”
A third insisted: “Pufferfish is Hayden Panettiere,” while a fourth put: “I don’t know for #PufferFish… Jamie Lynn Spears was first thought but can she sing that good? POSSIBLY Hayden Paniettere.”
Another confessed: “If Pufferfish is Hayden Panettiere I’m going to flip this table,” as one was adamant: “Pufferfish is Hayden from Heroes…”
Further Pufferfish clues shared so far also include rubber spider shown on a hairbrush, a pair of dice that land on a five and six, and the fact they could be seen squashing a rubber chicken with a blue boot.
HAYDEN’S COMEBACK
Hayden previously told how her alcoholism started in her Twenties when she moved to Tennessee to star in Nashville.
She played country singer Juliette Barnes in the Channel 4 hit yet at peak stardom in 2015 Hayden suddenly left the show to book herself into rehab — suffering from postnatal depression and alcoholism.
She returned to finish the season but her life spiralled as she lurched from one crisis to the next amid a frightening battle with booze.
At 19, she started dating boxer Vladimir Klitschko, a former heavyweight champion of the world.
Who has left The Masked Singer 2025 so far?
Much to the delight of telly fans, The Masked Singer is back in 2025.
Twelve celebrities have been hidden behind intricate costumes, with their identities concealed.
Sadly, not all of this year’s whacky and wonderful characters can make it to the end of the show, as there can only be one winner.
Here’s who has been unmasked so far:
Toad In The Hole – a massive diva strop saw the character storm off the stage after the judges voted them off. They later returned to be unmasked as singer Macy Gray
Pegasus – the mythical horse was revealed to be Prue Leith, with judge Jonathan Ross correctly guessing her identity
Spag Bol – this character was first to be unmasked and was none other than Good Morning Britain host Kate Garraway.
Plus there was one extra unmasking this season, with Giant Joel – a caricature of host Joel Dommett – unveiled as double-double Olympic champion Sir Mo Farah.
They had daughter Kaya in December 2014 as Hayden won plaudits for her Nashville performance.
The actress says she didn’t drink while pregnant but fell off the wagon as soon as her daughter was born.
She lost custody of her eight-year-old daughter Kaya to her ex-partner, Ukrainian boxer Wladimir Klitschko, became embroiled in a toxic relationship with estate agent Brian Hickerson and in February 2023 lost her brother Jansen, 28, to heart problems.
Yet in a previous interview with Women’s Health, she told how she hit absolute breaking point.
She admitted: “My body was like ‘enough’.
“I hit 30. My face was swollen. I had jaundice. My eyes were yellow.
“I had to go to a liver specialist. I was holding weight that wasn’t normally there. My hair was thin and coming out in clumps.”
Talking of her recovery, she added: “This hasn’t been easy and there were a lot of ups and downs.
“But I don’t regret even the ugliest things that have happened to me.
“I feel incredibly accomplished. And I feel like I have a second chance.”
FISH FACTS
Viewers of the ITV series have already suggested a variety of identities for the underwater character.
Some are convinced legendary X Factor judge Dannii Minogue is behind the mask.
Others reckon US pop icon Katy Perry is snug in the orange costume – even listing a whopping 10 reasons why it has to be the Teenage Dream hitmaker.
TMS viewers have also pointed their fingers towards Britney Spears‘ sister Jamie Lynn Spears being beneath the costume.
Others reckon West End star Samantha Barks is being disguised by the friendly fish character.
