Mother, son burnt in Gazipur fire

A woman and her son were burnt in a fire that broke out in their house in Gazipur’s Sreepur last night.

Shamsunnahar, 32, wife of Abul Hashem Pradhan, and their son Sanwar Hossain Pradhan, 12, were first taken to Al Hera Hospital in Mawna Junction and later transferred to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, said Joynal Abedin Mondal, in charge of Sreepur. Police station.

Shamsunnahar suffered 90 percent burns while her son had burns on his face, said Musa Kalimullah, director of Al Hera Hospital.

According to Shamsunnahar’s brother Mohiuddin, a gas leak may have led to the incident.

However, according to Inspector Mahmudul Hasan of Mawna Fire Service, they were not informed about the incident.

“No one has sent us any message in this regard, and we know nothing about it. Journalists informed me about the incident, and we are investigating the matter now,” he said.
