A tragic accident occurred yesterday when a 47 year old man died after his motorcycle collided with the rear of a pig transport truck on Hua Sai Road, Bang Khla district, Chachoengsao province. The incident took place at 6.30pm, yesterday, January 14, and was reported to Police Lieutenant Alongkorn Phapha at the Bang Khla Police Station.
Upon receiving the report, emergency services in Chachoengsao were dispatched to the location. They found a yellow Isuzu truck, license plate 71-2899 Chachoengsao, fully loaded with pigs. The truck was driven by 57 year old Somchit.
Behind the truck, they discovered a severely damaged blue Honda Wave 110i motorcycle, license plate 1 กม 6301 Chachoengsao, and the body of Thakol Maksuk, who had suffered a fatal head injury.
Eyewitness Phinyo, who was driving behind the motorcycle, shared that he had seen the motorcycle ahead of his vehicle. Phinyo was travelling from Ayutthaya and had been following the motorcycle from the direction of Bang Khla Rajabhat University.
He recounted that the motorcyclist suddenly veered left and crashed into the stationary truck, resulting in the fatal accident, reported KhaoSod.
Somchit, the truck driver, explained that he had driven from Tha Takiap district and was parked at the usual spot where trucks wait before entering the factory. As he was preparing to drive into the factory, the motorcycle unexpectedly collided with the rear of his truck. He expressed his shock and inability to react at the moment.
The police are currently investigating to gather evidence and determine the cause of the accident. They will proceed according to legal protocols following their investigation.
In related news, a collision involving a six-wheeled truck and a trailer truck on January 13 on the Pho Phra Ya-Tha Ruea Road in Mueang district, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya province, resulted in one fatality. The impact led to fresh chicken parts scattering across the road.
