In a viral video, TikTok user Ross Edward (@rossedward616) revealed how he makes money while enjoying a walk in the woods.
He advised anyone who is struggling with their finances ahead of the holiday season to follow in his lead.
For his “outdoor side hustle,” Ross went for a walk in his local forest and picked up some pine cones.
“I see people selling pine cones on Etsy Marketplace and [people] buy little bags for like $10,” he explained.
The TikToker suggested a variety of ways of sprucing up the pine cones.
One of his recommendations involved painting them to “make them prettier.”
He also advised his audience to elevate them even further by spraying them with a cinnamon scent.
Ross explained that his market is homeowners who like to display the items in “little baskets.”
He added how quick the entire process is, raking in hundreds in one afternoon of work.
“In literally two hours, I bet you could pick up 500 pine cones, and that’s probably $400 worth,” he said.
Ross pointed out that this was a “pretty good” amount to take home “by the hour.”
