SOME NFL fans believe they have caught a scripted moment in the NFL playoffs.
During the Philadelphia Eagles win over the Green Bay Packers, a star player intentionally missed out on scoring a touchdown.

Saquon Barkley took a dive during the game instead of scoring a touchdown[/caption]
With under a minute left in the game, Saquon Barkley broke off a big run to secure a first down and the win for the Eagles.
However, Barkley had plenty of green grass in front of him and likely could have gone for a 75-yard touchdown.
Fans were furious with Barkley’s decision to slide to the ground instead of scoring and claimed the moment was scripted.
“It doesn’t get more scripted than this,” X user @ThaJungleKiDD posted.
“This was your Saquon Barkley touchdown, but the NFL made sure Saquon Barkley could not score a TD tonight.
“Here you go people.”
Other fans were in agreement after they were disappointed by Barkley not registering a touchdown on the night.
“I just watched that and almost cried,” one fan said.
“If you don’t think the Game is rigged you’re just not paying attention,” another fan said.
“Name another time when a running back took a dive. You can’t. It’s rigged,” a third fan said.
While some fans were upset by this, many viewers understood Barkley’s true intentions.
At the time of Saquon’s run, the Eagles led the Packers 22-10 with under a minute left on the clock. The Packers only had one timeout left.
If Barkley kept running and scored a touchdown, the Packers would get the ball back and the Eagles defense would have to go out for another drive.
By sliding down after getting the first down, Barkley allowed quarterback Jalen Hurts to take a knee and end the game.
Barkley’s selfless act saved his team from having to continue fighting until the very last second of the game.

If Barkley had scored the touchdown and one of his defensive teammates had gotten hurt in the final seconds of the game, the team would have suffered a disaster.
Most fans understood that Barkley did the right thing, and shared that in the comments of @ThaJungleKiDD’s post.
“I don’t see conspiracy in that play, I see a guy playing a game to win,” one fan said.
“Barkley knew if he kneeled the game was over, not everyone is conspiring to make sure your bet doesn’t cash,” another fan said.
“It was a smart play to not give the ball back and just run out the clock,” a third fan said.
