OnePlus is reportedly working on its next-generation foldable smartphone. Likely to be called the OnePlus Open 2, the phone is said to launch soon in global markets including India. OnePlus Open 2 rumored to be a rebranded version of the Oppo Find N5. Popular leaker Digital Chat Station has revealed details of Oppo Find N5 in a Weibo post, suggesting the device has been tested. If the leak is correct, the Find N5 could address key critics of the OnePlus Open, its spiritual predecessor.
OnePlus Open 2 Features (Expected)
According to the tipster, performance could get a major boost on the OnePlus Open 2. The smartphone could come equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, offering improved speed and efficiency compared to the aging Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 in the OnePlus Open.

Another expected upgrade is wireless charging – a feature noticeably missing from the OnePlus Open. The leak further mentions an IPX8 rating for water resistance and an “anti-drop body structure,” potentially improving protection against accidental drops. The upcoming OnePlus Open 2 is also rumored to be thinner, lighter and offer better battery life.
On the camera front, the handset is rumored to be equipped with a 50MP periscope telephoto lens and a triple 50MP camera setup on the back.
OnePlus Open 2 launch (expected)
According to the leak, the Find N5 could launch in China in the first quarter of 2025. It could be followed by a global release – likely as the OnePlus Open 2 – soon after.
The OnePlus Open launched with a hefty price tag of $1,700 (Rs 1,59,999), so we can expect a similar premium for its successor. But if the OnePlus Open 2 addresses the shortcomings of the first model, that price might just be worth every penny.
