Social Media Abuzz After Bindura Doctor Offers Two Goats to Pregnant Girlfriend as Compensation After Dumping Her
Bindura District Medical Officer Dr Tonderai Chiwawa (40) has sparked a buzz on social media after it emerged that he offered two goats as compensation to his pregnant girlfriend, Karen Tandanguni (25), after he dumped her.
The scandal has taken a dramatic turn, with Karen dragging the married doctor to a traditional court.

History of Promises and Betrayals
Speaking to H-Metro, Karen claims she and Dr Chiwawa began their relationship in November 2022, during which he allegedly promised to marry her.
She says she was even introduced to his relatives, some of whom have advised her to tread carefully, citing his history of three marriages and several children.
After he dumped her, Karen revealed that Dr Chiwawa offered her two goats as compensation, but she dismissed the gesture as an insult.
“He had promised to marry me but he is now denying responsibility and told me that he will give me two goats as compensation and we will reconcile.,” Karen said.
Allegations of Forced Abortion and Claims of Threats
Karen alleges that Dr Chiwawa pressured her to terminate the pregnancy. She further accused Dr Chiwawa of threatening her after she refused to abort the pregnancy.
“I also fear for my life because he said he is prepared to harm me if I keep the child,” said Karen.
Karen claims Dr. Chiwawa has made efforts to silence her, saying,
“He says he wants me to suffer for dragging him to the chief’s court.
She has since reported the matter to Bindura Police Station, including a complaint of theft after her phone, containing incriminating messages, was stolen.
Meanwhile, the two are scheduled to appear before Chief Masembura on January 19 to resolve the matter.
Doctor Denies Allegations
Responding to the accusations, Dr Chiwawa dismissed Karen’s claims, stating that he only knows her from the neighbourhood.
“I know the girl from around, and I don’t care whatever she says. You can as well write all the information she tells you. She just wants to tarnish my image,” he said.
