Mahomes, 29, made the announcement of Golden Raye‘s birth in a joint post on Instagram with his partner Brittany.
The couple already had a daughter, Sterling, 3, and son Bronze, 2.
The quarterback was able to keep some playoff preparation going despite Brittany being in labor.
He did not miss out on any action on the field as the Kansas City Chiefs had secured a bye in the playoff first round.
This allowed Mahomes to be present during Golden Raye’s birth but he was still able to get his football fix.
He revealed that Brittany let him watch the playoffs from the hospital.
Speaking on Tuesday, he said: “It’s been cool. I mean I’m just supporting. Brittany crushed it.
“It’s been cool to welcome another baby girl into our family and see how our other kids react to her and having baby sissy and stuff like that.
“It’s been a lot of fun and it was cool that football was on TV when I was in the hospital so I got to watch a little bit.
“Brittany was kind enough to let us watch football while she was getting ready to give birth to our second daughter.”

Head coach Reid will be pleased to know that Mahomes was keeping himself up to date with the playoffs despite being in the hospital.
Mahomes also admitted that he was thrilled to have been present at the birth thanks to the bye.
He also hinted that he could be open to more children in the future but if happy with three for now.
He added: “I don’t want to say anything because Brittany is doing everything and I’m just trying to be supportive.
“It was cool that we got the bye because you can just really focus in on being at the hospital and being in the moment.
“It’s a special moment that a lot of dads and moms have experienced and you don’t forget about that stuff.
“I’m glad I was able to be there and support in the way I can. I’m good with three for right now. We’ll see down the line maybe.
“My goal was always three. We’ve had three and will stick there for a while and see if we need to come back and get another one later on.”
