PlayStation, Xbox and Steam players can try Monster Hunter Wilds for free with bonus time for PS Plus users

GAMERS have been eating good over the last few years, as 2023 and 2024 have been jam packed with more excellent games than we could possibly play.

However, it seems that our wallets won’t be getting a break next year as there is already a line up of amazing games to come.

The big-name game of 2025 is GTA 6, but the year will also be kicking off with huge games such as Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, Assassin’s Creed Shadows and Monster Hunter Wilds.

Monster Hunter Rise was the last mainline entry in the series released back in 2021.

While there have been a steady release of games in the series, it’s so popular that the fans are always wanting more.

Luckily, we won’t have to wait much longer for the next entry, as Monster Hunter Wilds will launch on February 27, 2025.

If you can’t wait that long to jump in, there is a way you can play as soon as next week.

Capcom has just announced an open beta test for Monster Hunter Wilds, and PS Plus subscribers will be able to play earlier and for longer.

Ready to go wild

Open betas are a great chance for people to try out a game before they buy it, and see if it’s for them.

That’s more important than ever, given the rising price of games, and just how many are released every month.

Capcom is giving people a week to dive in and this is plenty of time for people to see if it’s worth purchasing for them.
