SAMSUNG has come up with a new way to control your TV – and it doesn’t require your phone or your voice.
The South Korean firm has been busy unveiling a load of innovations and new gadgets at CES, the world’s biggest tech show held in Las Vegas every year.

And The Sun went along to see first hand some of the big upgrades coming soon.
One change that caught our eye was a new way to control your Samsung TV using a smartwatch.
But instead of going through the effort of selecting buttons on your smartwatch, this novel idea requires you to simply wave your wrist about.
For those with a Galaxy Watch, it could be a life-saver during those times you’ve lost the main remote.
And it’s probably a lot quicker than resorting to using smartphone controls too, given that the watch is right there on your wrist.
Known as the Quick Remote, Samsung says it: “automatically detects nearby TVs and converts to a remote control whenever needed.
“Simply control the TV with your Galaxy Watch with gesture even when your hands are busy.”
At a demo stand at CES, Samsung reveals four ways this works.
You can do wrist movements to navigate around your TV like a cursor.
Pinching with your fingers allows you to select things.
Making a fist will send you back, while a double fist gesture will take you home.
To take advantage of the upgrade you’ll need a Galaxy Watch 4 or later.
And for now it will only work with Samsung’s upcoming 2025 TVs.
However, the firm may introduce it to 2023 and 2024 models at a later date.
