Scottland FC Retains Only 7 Players from Promotion-Winning Squad, Dumps Top Performer Before PSL Debut
Scottland FC has made major changes to its squad ahead of its debut in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League, retaining only seven players from the team that secured promotion. In a surprising move, the club has offloaded former Zimbabwe Warriors captain Denver Mukamba, despite his impressive performances last season.

The club has embarked on an ambitious recruitment drive, signing some of Zimbabwe’s top football talent.
Key additions include reigning Soccer Star of the Year Walter Musona and his runner-up Lynoth Chikuhwa and second runner-up Khama Billiat who won the PSL Fans Choice Award following his outstanding first full season with Yadah in the Zimbabwe PSL.

Scottland FC Retains Only 7 Players from Promotion-Winning Squad
Scottland has retained the services of Tadiwa Huni, Emmanuel Saidi, Lincoln Zvasiya, King Nadolo, Ronald Pfumbidza, Keith Muzengeza and Carlson Chirwa.
Notably absent from the retained list is former Zimbabwe Warriors captain Denver Mukamba, who had been a key performer for the club.
Denver Mukamba’s departure has raised eyebrows, given his strong contribution to Scottland’s success. The former CAPS United midfielder joined the team as a free agent in April 2024 and made an immediate impact.
In his debut match, Mukamba scored twice in a 3-1 victory over Trojan Mine, earning a hefty US$2,000 bonus.
However, Mukamba’s stint with the club was marred by injury. In May 2024, he suffered a thigh strain during a 1-0 loss to PAM in a ZIFA Northern Region Division One League match.
The club announced that he would be sidelined for an undisclosed number of weeks. It remains to be seen where Denver Mukamba ends up.
