Sean “Diddy” Combs Withdraws Bail Appeal, To Remain Detained Until Trial in May 2025

Sean “Diddy” Combs has officially chosen to drop his appeal for bail. As a result, he will remain detained at the Metropolitan Detention Centre until his scheduled criminal trial in May 2025. The decision to abandon the appeal was confirmed on 13 December 2024, as per court documents filed by his legal team.

Combs, who was arrested in September 2024, faces multiple grave charges, including s_ex trafficking and racketeering. He has pleaded not guilty to all accusations. If convicted, the 54-year-old entertainer could face life imprisonment, according to Rolling Stone.

The legal team representing Combs initially prepared documentation to contest the court’s decision to deny him bail. However, they opted to withdraw the appeal, stating,

“Mr. Combs does not seek to appeal the district court’s denial of his renewed motion and hereby moves to voluntarily dismiss the appeal.”

Allegations of a Long-Running Criminal Enterprise

Federal prosecutors have accused Combs of orchestrating a long-standing criminal operation that involved acts of violence, coercion, and abuse. Allegations against him include s_xual abuse, forced labor, arson, bribery, kidnapping, and running a racketeering scheme. Prosecutors claim these crimes were part of a systematic pattern of abuse, primarily targeting women.

According to the indictment,
