Seth Rogen’s mother is responsible for one of the most memorable jokes in the Super bad.
The 2007 teen comedy that arguably launched Jonah Hills career, follows a pair of socially awkward best friends, Seth (Hill) and Evan (Michael Cera), who want to impress their high school classmates.
Their tactic is to take booze for an underage school party to lose its “nerd status”. Of course, we do not advocate this in reality.
Anyway, things go horribly wrong when their other friend Fogell, AKA McLovin (Christopher Mintz-Plasse), gets a fake ID claiming to be a 25-year-old Hawaiian organ donor.

Now, when he was talking to Howard Stern a few years ago Pineapple Express the actor revealed that his mother came up with one of the “darkest” lines in the film.
The funnyman told Stern, “There’s a joke in it Super bad where, at the end, one of the kids – McLovin’ – uses a fake ID the whole movie – so the cops think he’s like 23.

“And then at the end of the movie, he finally has six with a girl who is actually his age, but the police catch him, believing him to be having sex with an underage girl, and arrest him for statutory rape. My mom came up with that joke.”
Rogen added: “She read a very early draft of the script and she’s like ‘it’s funny if the police arrest him for statutory rape because they think he’s too old’. And I was like ‘that’s a solid joke mum’.
He continued: “You’re in, I’ll take it. My mom cracked a good statutory rape joke.
“It’s pretty dark, but a solid joke nonetheless.”
Super bad fans were quick to praise Rogen’s mom, with one writing below Stern’s clip: “Lmao that was one of the funniest parts of the movie.”

Another echoed: “Exciting, it’s so cool that his mom is a funny lady.”
While a third wrote: “F**king good joke mum.”
Other eagle-eyed fans pointed out that Rogen’s mom joke was actually tweaked in the final script, as officers Slater (Hader) and Michaels (Rogen) tell McLovin’ they’ve known all along that he wasn’t actually 25, and agree to go. McLovin walks out of the party in handcuffs in an attempt to impress his schoolmates.
“They (actually) admit they knew he was underage all along but wanted to show him cops can be cool too,” wrote one YouTuber.
“Then (they) fake arrest him so he looks like a bada** to everyone at the party.”
Someone else added: “McLovin’ actually tells them his real name and age and then asks the police to arrest him to make him look bad**.”
