COCA-COLA fans are racing to grab a limited edition flavour for just 18p.
Tesco has drastically slashed the price of Coca-Cola Cinnamon, which originally cost around £1.85 per 2L bottle.
But a savvy shopper recently discovered the drink was available at Tesco stores for just 18p, offering shoppers a staggering saving of £1.67.
It comes as Coca-Cola confirmed to The Sun that the drink is on it’s way out and is no longer being sent to supermarkets.
Yesterday, the bargain hunter posted in the Extreme Bargains UK Facebook group, alerting others to the deal: “Cinnamon Coca-Cola Zero NOW 18p at Tesco.”
The post quickly garnered attention, with many tagging friends and family.
“Wow, I’ll be heading to Tesco ASAP,” one person said.
While another wrote: “Ooh I’ve never tried that flavour, might have to head down.”
Others joked about the drink’s steep discount, with one saying: “Might be useful as bleach for the toilets.”
For those who love experimenting in the kitchen, some suggested creative uses for the drink, such as “cooking gammon in a slow cooker”.
Meanwhile, others were keen to give the flavour a try.
One shopper said: “That’s a great price, will have to grab some.”
The cinnamon-flavoured twist to Coca-Cola’s zero-sugar range was first introduced to the UK in 2018 as a “limited-time offer for the holiday season”.
Although the flavour divided opinion upon its debut, it quickly became a cult favourite for some, returning for the festive season in 2019 and 2020.
However, after a four-year hiatus, it finally made its comeback in 2024, sparking a fresh wave of both excitement and debate among fans.
A ranking of the best Coca-Cola flavours published by lovefood.com in 2024 placed the cinnamon variant 10th on its list, reflecting its polarising appeal.
While some hailed it as their “favourite ever”, others weren’t as impressed.
Comments on a Facebook UK Bargains and Coupons group post revealed the mixed reactions.
One user said, “I can’t think of anything worse,” while another wrote, “That’s just wrong!!!! So very wrong!!!!”
Despite the critics, loyal fans rushed to stock up on the drink before it disappeared from shelves again.
One enthusiast commented: “It’s not a strong cinnamon taste, it’s subtle and delicious.”
While another compared it to a non-alcoholic Fireball shot and suggested adding a splash of amaretto for an even more festive twist.
As Coca-Cola Cinnamon Zero Sugar flies off shelves at its rock-bottom price, shoppers are urged to act fast before the festive favourite vanishes once more.
Whether it’s to savour the flavour, experiment with recipes, or simply grab a bargain, it’s clear this nostalgic drink has made its mark again – for better or worse.
Other festive price drops
It’s not just Coca-Cola that’s seen price drops at Tesco.
Cadbury fans have also been cashing in on massive discounts, with the supermarket selling multipacks of Cadbury Milk Chocolate Bars Variety Treatsize for as little as 87p.
Shoppers have shared their hauls online, some boasting of clearing out entire shelves to stock up.
Though some multipacks have a best-before date of February, others have reported longer-lasting batches expiring in March, leaving plenty of time to enjoy the sweet savings.
Meanwhile, foodies are racing to John Lewis to nab its fill-your-own Quality Street tins at half price.
The pick and mix Quality Street stations are exclusive to John Lewis and only available in-store.
Sainsbury’s shoppers have also been taking advantage of the store’s latest price reductions, including family favourites Quality Street and Celebrations.
COCA-COLA FLAVOURS
Last month, shoppers went wild after spotting the Coca-Cola Lime drink that was discontinued 17 years ago.
It featured the classic Coke flavour but was mixed with lime juice, saving customers the hassle of slicing up the fruit to add to their drink.
A lime flavour Diet Coke was launched in 2020 and is still available in major supermarkets, but it’s the first time a “full fat” version has been spotted back on shelves since it was axed nearly two decades ago.
Coca-Cola also stunned customers when it launched a collab with Oreo.
The unique product combines the flavours of the iconic soft drink with the popular cookie.
It is currently available to buy on Ocado for 95p.
Earlier last year, Coca-Cola Lemon also made a comeback for the first time since 2006.
The drink is currently available at Sainsburys for £5.50 for a pack of 8 which equates to 68p per can.
