STARBUCKS Red Cup Day is back – with the chain revealing the date customers can claim their festive perk.
The freebie is available across the US and Mexico.
Mexicans can claim their free recyclable cup a whole four days earlier than their neighbour – on Thursday, November 8, 2024.
They have been enjoying the Starbucks holiday menu since November 4.
This earlier start is a great chance for fans to enjoy the festive flavors ahead of Red Cup Day.
Meanwhile, a Starbucks employee confirmed to The U.S. Sun that people in the States will be given their free cup when making a purchase on November 14.
In 2023, the 16-ounce reusable red cup included hot, iced, and blended drinks in the deal.
Customers who brought the cup back received a 10-cent discount on their next drink, while Starbucks Rewards Members got a 25-star bonus when using the app.
The highly anticipated Red Cup Day will follow the release of Starbucks’ new holiday cup collection on November 7th.
Each of the four eye-catching designs features a festive pattern made from the colors red, green, and white.
The coffeehouse has artistically adorned the cups with what could be interpreted as retro holiday ornaments or peppermints.
Kristy Cameron, Starbucks’ creative director said green is especially “vibrant and bright” on the cups because it refers to the brand.
Their festive theme Merrier Together is represented by the patterns interconnecting on the cups.
“We love finding these genuine moments of joy and coffee to inspire the creative,” Cameron said.
“Whether that’s coffee trees growing, beans roasting, cups toasting, or lights glowing – we wanted to share the warmth of our coffeehouse and the anticipation of the red cups arriving with our customers and partners.”
Almost 40,000 people liked Starbucks’ Instagram post announcing the arrival of their holiday cups.
“These are so cute and cheerful!” one person said.
“So excited, my favorite time of year,” another commented.
“Love the holiday cups!! For some reason, makes my drink taste even better!” a third chimed in.
Others confessed they had hoped for a traditional design such as Santa or wrapping paper.
