The cast of the show was feeling the holiday spirit, with Jimmy Johnson opening the show with a hearty “ho ho ho!”
Terry Bradshaw got in on the fun, deciding to put on his best Santa act as well.
“What do you want bud?” he said looking at Curt Menefee/
“What do you want for Christmas?”
Menefee made a quick joke about Bradshaw serving as Fox NFL Sunday’s Santa Claus.
“Is that all I have to say?” Menefee said.
“I don’t even have to sit on your lap, I like that.”
It didn’t take long for Bradshaw to think of an idea of what to give Menefee for Christmas.
“We’ll get you a brand new set of golf clubs that’ll take that slice out,” he said.
Johnson shared a gift earlier in the day with Michael Vick on Fox NFL Kickoff.
The former NFL head coach gave the newest college football head coach some words of wisdom ahead of his coaching job at Norfolk State.
“First of all, congratulations,” Johnson said.
“Number one, professional football is coaching, college football is recruiting. That’s the key.
“The second thing is keep it simple, because you’re going to have a lot of changes with your staff. Keep it simple.
“Success is who makes the fewest mistakes, not who makes the most great plays.”
NFL on Netflix
Netflix will be the global home of the NFL on Christmas Day this year.
The streaming service will show two special holiday games live around the world.
Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs kick off the double header against the Pittsburgh Steelers at 1 pm ET.
And they’ll be followed by the Baltimore Ravens at the Houston Texans from 4.30 pm ET.
That game will also feature a halftime show from Beyonce in her home town of Houston, Texas.
Netflix also confirmed their broadcast team for the day, led by Fox NFL commentator Greg Olsen and former Good Morning Football host Kay Adams.
Vick was officially announced as the new head coach on Friday.
“I understand the position that Norfolk State is in,” Vick told Fox Sports.
“I understand where we are. There’s going to be a lot of kids out there that are looking for opportunities to play football, to play at a level where they can continue to grow.
“I’m looking forward to that part, working with kids each and every day, as opposed to, you know, a two-day football camp.
“Instead of watching them grow over two days, now I get to coach them each and every day with a great coaching staff who’s going to assist in making sure that these kids play their best brand of football.”
