The Texas heiress who gained viral attention for her extravagant $59 million Parisian wedding is now expecting her first child with her husband, Jacob LaGrone, who is currently facing felony charges related to the alleged shooting of three police officers.
Madelaine Brockway revealed the exciting news on Instagram, showing off a lavish cake at her recent gender reveal celebration in Paris.
“18 weeks with our bean,” she wrote, tagging her husband Jacob LaGrone.
Brockway, who is the heir to several Mercedes-Benz dealerships in Florida, enjoyed a pink slice of cake and celebrated the news of her baby girl, as shown in photos from the event.
However, her husband is embroiled in a legal battle. He is charged with aggravated assault against a public servant following a police shooting in March 2023.
The incident occurred when police were called to the couple’s $1.4 million home in Tarrant County, Texas, after multiple reports of a disturbance, according to the Daily Mail.
The argument between the couple reportedly spilled into the driveway before Brockway fled to her parents’ house.
Madelaine’s father, Bob Brockway, later called the police for a well-being check on LaGrone at the couple’s residence.
When police arrived, LaGrone allegedly fired at three officers from inside the garage.
He was arrested, but later released on $20,000 bail.
In August 2023, LaGrone was charged with threatening bodily harm and using a deadly weapon (a firearm) during the assault.
Despite ongoing legal proceedings, the couple married shortly after the indictment.
The wedding took place at Château de Villette, located 40 km northwest of Paris, followed by an extravagant reception at the Paris Opera House.
Maroon 5 performed during the couple’s first dance and later held a private concert just for them.
The wedding also included an overnight stay at the Palace of Versailles.
Photos from the lavish event went viral and made Brockway an internet sensation.
However, her viral fame was short-lived as her husband returned to the US for a court appearance just two weeks after their wedding.
At his arraignment, LaGrone stood with his head down, without his wife by his side, in Tarrant County District Court.
