Ahead of his debut as a Fox NFL broadcaster, Brady is reliving the glory days of his football career by attempting to hit some of his fitness peaks from years ago.
Brady is still hitting the gym despite being retired for a full season of football.
While in the gym, Brady revealed how much he used to bench while training as a quarterback.
“With Matt Cassell, grinding it out to see who could lift more and be the bigger meat stick,” Brady said.
“The most I did was like 225 for like eight or nine.”
Brady proceeded to rep out his former max bench press with ease, but then turned things up a notch.
The 47-year-old added 20 pounds to his former max bench with the New England Patriots and proceeded to get it up and down without much of a sweat.
“If you told me this morning that should try to do 245, I’d be like ‘you’re out of your f***ing mind,” Brady said.
“I will say, not to brag about myself, but I am a great athlete.”
Fans were baffled by the strength that Brady has 47 years old, and begged him to make his way out of retirement again.
“You’ve got to come out of retirement & beat the Chiefs,” one fan said.
“The Goat is still Goating!!” another fan said.
“Tom Brady’s warm-up is more than your 1 Rep Max,” a third fan said.
“Sounds like you’re making a comeback,” a fourth fan said.
“Bro just play again we all know u want to,” a fifth fan said.
Despite calls for him to come out of retirement once again, Brady is committed to a broadcasting career with Fox Sports.
He signed a 10-year, $375 million deal to become the lead color-commentator for the network, calling games alongside Kevin Burkhardt.
Brady’s signing bumped fan-favorite Greg Olsen down to the B-team alongside Joe Davis.
The 47-year-old’s debut will come in a Week 1 matchup between the Cleveland Browns and Dallas Cowboys.
The game kicks off at 4:25 pm ET on Sunday, September 8.
