A tragic accident occurred at Prasat Bus Terminal in Surin when a double-decker bus, en route from Rayong to Mukdahan, ran over and killed a bus attendant. The incident happened around 7pm, yesterday, October 9, as the bus was reversing from its parking spot.
Witnesses reported that the bus attendant, 19 year old Suphanai, was behind the bus, possibly checking to ensure other vehicles had cleared the area. As the bus, driven by Pattaya Paivan, was reversing with its door open, Suphanai attempted to board. Unfortunately, he missed his step, fell, and the bus’s wheel ran over his head, resulting in his immediate death, said an eyewitness.
“The bus was reversing out of the station when Suphanai was behind it. It looked like he was checking if other vehicles had moved out of the way. He tried to get on the bus just as it was moving, but he slipped and fell under the wheel.”
Police Lieutenant Colonel Chaturong Lomnak, the investigating officer from Prasat Police Station, arrived at the scene to examine the situation. The body of Suphanai was found under the bus, reported KhaoSod.
Chaturong documented the scene and collected evidence, and Pattaya Paivan was taken for further questioning to understand the circumstances leading to the tragic incident.

Police Officer Chai Polsri reported that the accident unfolded when a motorcycle collided with the back of a pickup truck, leaving one person dead and another seriously injured. The shocking incident occurred on October 9 on a busy four-lane stretch of Suksawat Road, close to the entrance of Soi Suksawat 74 in Phra Pradaeng district.
First responders, including medical teams from Bangchak Hospital and the Ruamkatanyu Foundation, rushed to the scene to provide aid, but sadly, it was too late for the woman.
